The dog run needs to be bigger. This is the smallest dog run that I’ve ever seen in KOA and there is no place to let your dog off leash except for this little tiny area. I’m hoping next year the other side of the park will be open, but I’m sure you guys are working on that as quickly as possible.

We live on the Central Coast and only come down for Halloween. First of all, the laundry machines. Please switch to credit card. I had to go to town to get quarters. Even laundry mats don’t take quarters. In regards to Halloween festivities, it seems since KOA bought the property, it’s kind of died down. They used to have parades through the campsites, kiddy rides, hay rides, etc.

Temecula KOA is well kept, lots of activities for family & kids. The staff are very helpful & friendly.

Camp ground is great. My one BIG complaint is the LACK of signs around camp telling you which camp areas are which and how to get to them. There are no signs anywhere. The maps you hand out don’t reflect the new cabins which doesn’t help.

Everything was good to great. My only complain, spot 11 in Chardonnay, big rocks on the sides of the RV parking are dangerous, can easily twist an ankle or fall. Also the large aggregate in the parking driveway rolls around under tires..too loose, no good traction. I had to put in 4 wheel drive. Some parts had the smaller 3/4" gravel which compacted good. Unlike the larger gravel.

We enjoyed our first trip to vail lake resort loved the site we were in. Had a great time fishing at the lake and riding are E-Bikes around the park and to the lake

We truly enjoyed our time there! Only thing that needs attention is check-outs. We had people in our spot upon our arrival as well as our friends who arrived at 4:00 pm. Check-out is supposed to be at noon! More attention should be played to this!

Campground is lovely. Roads could use improvement, bathrooms could be repaired, our site was not comfortable with the slope, poor drainage, wrong placement for the clean-out. It would have been nice to swim in the lap pool, the family pool was also too cool.

We were there before the Halloween rush began on Thursday. It was calm, peaceful, clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. A very nice campground.

it seems each year that there are less/less people maybe part bc some camp areas are closed We tried to have fire wood delivered to our campsite and we were told that we couldn't and that we had to buy it from the store. We asked them how we would know of this change and they said it was on the website. no it wasnt.it should have been bold on the front of the check in forms. very unprofessional

Need to add heaters to pools, jacuzzi. No more cabins. Takes the fun out of the whole trick or treat experience when walking around on halloween weekends. Need to fix the roads. Stop hiking up prices. People can't afford it. There was less campers this year. I didn't see the train go this year which kids look forward to. Also keep the basketball clear so kids can play. We camp at least once a year in Oct. this was our 11th year. We live the improvements being made to the campground. But do feel, there are enough cottages. Please don’t add more. Especially in Oaks. It truly takes away from those of us with RV’s.

One of my favorite trips. The only complaint is the dog park. It is just way to small. We love to take our dogs with us. That being said with all the renovations going on why not expand on the dog park. You have plenty of room.

Again great experience for October Week 2 of the Halloween fun. Love that you changed the internet method for multiple users, made the experience so much better and easier to access for the whole family. Some suggestions for next year. The adult scavenger hunt, clues are too difficult the last few years, most of us give up. Also missed that our boys couldn't use the basketball court. Thanks.

It was a fun environment. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of activities for the kids. However, the mini golf course needs some repairs.

This was our 19th year camping for the October Haunted Halloween event. We have always loved this event and now have 11 grandchildren, ages 3-13, who look forward to this very special time we all spend together as a family. This years activities were VERY DISAPPOINTING! We were fortunate enough to not be the 1st weekend and did get a very small bounce house for our weekend.

RULES NOT ENFORCED OR NO CURFEW HOURS. REALLY DANGEROUS FOR KIDS TO BE DRIVING GOLF CARTS AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND OFF-ROADING ON DIRT PATHS. THERE SHOULD BE QUIET HOURS UNTIL 8 A.M. AND 10 PM LIKE ALL OTHER CAMPGROUNDS. BAR HOURS NEED TO BE EXPANDED ON SUNDAYS UNTIL 4 P.M., 2 P.M. IS TOO EARLY. RESTAURANT NOT WELL PREPARED DURING HALLOWEEN WEEKENDS, RAN OUT OF CHICKEN AND PIZZA.

Bathrooms we’re disgusting . Showers were even worse. Very expensive weekend and not much improvement to bathrooms and paved roads. We expect better for the cost.

At 2 am People Were Doing donuts on grass up in Chardonnay. The roads up there are HORRIBLE. Everything is about money. The activity tye dye shirts is a scam. All the dye came out as soon as we rinsed it off.

We look forward to the Halloween event year, this year we were greatly disappointed with the options for the children. Last year they had many different inflatables and things for the kids to do. Camping during this time is incredibly expensive, we hope the bring it back next year to make it worth the money.

Heidi Manson who worked for the staff was very helpful. She informed us of all of the various activities, let us know the times that the DJ was available so we could have a dance party and made our stay extra fun by also showing us the haunted house. Thank you Heidi and thank you KOA for another fantastic year at Vail and we already booked for next year too!

We absolutely love camping at Vail Lake! We look forward to it every year as this is our seventh Halloween camping season. We were disappointed to see that some graffiti was done to the trees in upper Chardonnay. It looks like blue paint was used to paint some sections of the trees near spot 71.

We had a fabulous stay. The facilities were extremely comfortable, the staff were very helpful, and the surrounding views are beautiful. It was a very peaceful place to get away and relax!

Location, property, cabins and staff are beyond outstanding--out of this world. Highly recommend this KOA. We stayed in a cabin with a group of 12 other campers in adjacent cabins--had the best time ever! The staff was excellent, and the property was in fabulous shape. There is growth planned for the camp and it can only get better over time...but go now because nobody will be disappointed.

the campsite is real nice and its amenities. i wish people would follow the camp rules eapecially the quiet time. we plan to come back and experience the lodging next time.

Loved the cabins and all the amenities it offered as well as the store, miniature golf course and Pools! Had perfect temperatures for the two day stay and enjoyed getting around the campgrounds in the rental golf carts. But the best part of our stay was with Mike and Rowena Bell!

Stayed here for my prop motocross race at Paula raceway and honestly no regrets. I heard fox shut off the water for privateers (I am a privateer) 🤣 so I am 100% glad I was smart enough to keep my main rig here. Temecula is beautiful and I'm glad I got a chance to explore. Temecula KOA at Vail Lake gave me and my team the opportunity to do this so thank you!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Vail Lake is one of my favorite places in the Temecula area to relax and unwind. The grounds are clean, well-maintained, and the overall environment is peaceful and welcoming. It always feels safe, making it a great place for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy some time outdoors. The property has a charming general store that is convenient and adds to the campground atmosphere. There is also a really cool ice cream shop that serves delicious treats along with a variety of food items, making it easy to grab a snack or meal without leaving the property. The bar is another great feature, offering a fun place to relax and enjoy a drink after a day of exploring. Whether you are camping, fishing, or simply looking for a quiet getaway, Vail Lake offers a clean, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice escape in the Temecula area.

Enjoy coming here with my family. For the pass 8 years we been coming. Looking forward in remodeling Oaks area. A little issue with 2 of the workers that is not a customer service friendly when checking in.
