This was our 1st time staying at Vail Lake KOA & we were not disappointed. Things we did....explored on our e-bikes, played disc golf, ate ice cream & most importantly....relaxed.

Things were good, our only negative was our site number 54, was very unlevel. It took quite a bit of effort to level our fifth wheel.

We stayed at one of the upgraded sites with pavers used for the patio and Gravel for the pad for the Motorhome. The site had an excellent mix of sun and shade. We liked the way manh fo the roads wound through groves of giant oaks. The system for handling reservations needs improvement.

Your customer service needs improving. Some members of our group were able to make a reservation for next year which we've done year's past. Others were told by your staff that they couldn't make a reservation for next year. The mixed messaging was frustrating as we were told the reservations weren't available for the next year. Please be consistent with how you handle your customers.

Sites were large and free of pests. Check in and out was easy!

Always awesome great place great people

Family oriented the activities in music stopped at 10 o'clock, like they're supposed to and did not start up early. It was clean and well maintained.

Cabin could have been cleaner. Floors. Walls. Everything else was PERFECT. THANK YOU!!!

We had a wonderful time—your live music was fantastic! We also played a round of miniature golf and really enjoyed it. It was great being able to drive down to the lake as well. The Arroyo area is looking great and coming along nicely. The bathrooms were very clean and well done—you might consider updating the rest to match!

I would have given 5 stars, but the mini golf needs repairs. But besides that, we had a great weekend with the live bands.

We stayed in spots 114 & 115. 115 is a great spot with shade and beautiful oak trees.

Great campground! A few things would make it even better like updating the pickleball courts and disc golf and adding some shade to the pool area. I came Thurs thru Sunday and people drove around with music loud from their golf carts!

First return in 15 years. Love the improvements the campground was quiet and had tons of activities loved bike ride to the lake and the velocity park. Future repaying of roads would be awesome

Tried to rent an ebike mid week… there was no one present and the KOA staff could not assist us. No map offered … would have been terrible for a 1st timer. Bath/Restroom area needs refurbishing in this section.

Really enjoyed my visit. Everything was beautiful. The new bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous. Great day. Looking forward to coming again.

This was my first time camping, I was extremely stressed out during my stay due to the amount of crying and screaming kids next to me. It went on throughout the day and night which was beyond annoying. I had no idea about the campsites being mixed with tent campers. I learned a few tips about camping. The camps grounds overall were nice.

had a nice time. Downfall, site 12 pull thru has big rocks that were not leveled /compacted down. Had major difficulty getting trailer dropped and then hooked up tires were spinning. Kind family helped Get us out They had major difficulty with having a 4 wheel drive Office was told about rocks prior to this /called while this was going on office lady didn’t care Said take note Unprofess

It was our first time this past weekend, and will definitely be coming back! So much fun for the littles, teens, and parents.

Site was good. Little noisy in the morning with construction vehicles passing by. Constant koa go carts going by. The most disappointing is your new rule of not bringing your own wood. I spent money and lots of time gathering wood for this trip. I don’t remember seeing this rule since I booked along time ago. Like the improvements you’re making. Probably won’t be back for awhile.

As always our stay is GREAT!! We love this place!

We enjoyed our stay, the campsite upgrades were nice. It was a little disappointing that the restaurant and bar were closed the entire time of our stay.

Perfect time to visit. Not crowded at all, weather was great, pools were nice, pickleball was fun, and there were bike paths/hiking trails everywhere. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in The Oaks (#116) and enjoyed a beautiful site. Our mid-week, off-peak stay was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the fire pit every night and utilized the provided barbecue as well. The pools were clean and warm and the pickle ball court was fun.

Stopped in for a little overnight getaway and it was just what we needed for a recharge. Used the beautiful pools, hiked to see the lake from camp and sat under the stars with our camp fire at night. We tent camped here many many times over the last 20 years and I have to say one of my favorite things Is listening to the coyotes howl from the nearby hills at night.Looking foward to our next stay!

Anita provided "above and beyond" service when we checked in with 2 vans for 2 sites on Monday, March 16. Our first sites in the Merlot section were not satisfactory (too dusty, too open/sunny during heat wave, too many nails on the ground in the campsite). She graciously facilitated our move to the Chardonnay section, which was significantly better for our 7 night stay - quiet, less dusty, shady.

This was a fun place to stay; however the coordinated activities were somewhat lacking. The activities staff didn’t even show up for one and I could see them on their cell phones sitting down in another area at that time. Front desk and cafe staff were both very nice and attentive.

Great venue and great staff. Cabins and campground are spotless and bicycle trails are world class.

Last year we also stayed in a cabin and it was great. This year's cabin had ants and the stove only worked at full blast, even on low. Everything boiled, you couldn't lower the heat. It was a dissapointing stay compared to last year. Not being able to add occupants to the reservation so that the person making the reservation had to be the first one there complicated our trip.

Hi, we stayed in the Chardonnay area and enjoyed it. It was peaceful and relaxing. Staff were friendly at every encounter. One bummer was that had to drive to the dog run in a different section. The 2nd was the cafe. We ordered a pizza. After watching the young ladies laugh about cook times and sweep while food was in the area, I couldn’t order more as a transplant patient. Overall loved it!

I’ve never been to this campground. Checked in and wasn’t given a map or offered an escort to where our site was. This place is too big to miss that important part for guests. Lack of awareness. They knew it was my first time visiting too. I had to call the office after driving around the campground on a Friday afternoon to get someone to help me get to my site.

We stayed at the Chardonnay area, space 80 and 81. Both of these sites need updating such as leveling and basic site improvements. They are extremely dirty. I would like to see them upgraded like other spots in the park. I’m actually surprised that they have not been improved because they are beautiful sites. The bathrooms in this area are sorely in need of an upgrade or a full remodel.

I stayed in one of the cabins for the first time and it was fabulous! Modern, clean and very comfortable. Appreciated all the amenities and well stocked kitchen since I was traveling light. Staff at the gate and front desk were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

The cabin was awesome. We will be back to stay.

We were with a loud boyscout group that should’ve been put together somewhere else. Very loud and too many peeps in the area. The campground is awesome and I will be back. Loved it.

Our stay was awesome the only thing I could say was I was booked at rincon, I called to switch to the oaks to a space close to my family. When i check in the lady at the office told me my space was not reserved since i didn't pay the 35 dollars for the reservation space. I advised I called and spoke with someone why didn't they tell me that over the phone. I would have payed it.

The Lower Merlot is the tenement yard of the KOA franchise. It has an 18th century bathroom that Beethoven utilized.

Temecula KOA at Vail Lake is a massive RV resort with various campgrounds. The entire resort alone provides so much area to get a good walking, jogging and cycling workout. We got a good spot and, therefore, enjoyed the views, fresh air and clean atmosphere. There are lots of trees and grassy fields here, unlike RV parks that look like parking lots. It's also just a short drive away from the wineries. If you like to drink wine but don't have a designated driver, just hire an Uber or Lyft.
