Difficulty locating office upon arrival. Spent 2+ nights listening to a neighboring generator running 24/7, despite several complaints to staff members who failed to curb it at night. When office was confronted, we were compensated and appreciate the gesture.

When we checked in it was dark and there was no one to guide us to our spot. Disconcerting considering it was our first time there and we were unfamiliar with the campground.

Loved this KOA...especially the spacious sites. We had fun in the bar watching football. The staff was great. It fun to watch the wild turkeys roam around. My one and only complaint was the dog park was not well lighted. We are responsible dog owners and always pick up, however it was hard to do in the dark. We will definitely return.

unfortunately the place was not met our expectations. The vertical blind was broken while we stayed at the lodge, and I did mention to the staff but they didn't do anything even they changed us to a different cabin since the first one was with the same issue and the heater was not working. The park was beautiful though and we stayed here before on RV park section, so no more lodge staying here!!

Camped in #121 the oaks. Very nice, clean great fire pit hook ups very impressive. Will definitely be back. Staff was kind and answered all my questions. Thank you all!!

The camp ground itself is beautiful due its natural habitat surrounding it. The bathrooms in our camp area need to be updated and repaired. Also, they were not very clean. I’m sure the extra activities would be fun but we did not participate this time due to the rainy weather. It was not often clear that the store was open due to the lack lighting.

Great stay! Staff friendly and accommodating. We had a big rain the day of the football playoffs and they let us bring our dinner inside the bunkhouse. only negative was we were staying in the cabins - Unit #4. 6 of the slats on the blinds for the slider door were missing and then two fell off as we used them. TV didn't work nor the Keurig coffee maker. but other than that great!

Even despite the rain we had a great time. This is a beautiful campground and everything is well kept. Bathrooms are immaculate! We'll be back. Just one question. Why didn't my membership discount kick in when I made my reservations? Thanks

The electrical connections are very difficult to use, requiring you to get on your knees to reach under the box to plug in.

We love Vail Lake KOA! The improvements have been amazing since KOA took over! Already booked our next stay! The staff is awesome! Mary and Tim are part of cleaning staff… so nice! So helpful and very welcoming! Whatever you’re paying them it isn’t enough!

We love Vail Lake! My kids were sad the train wasn’t working though! You guys should do some live music during the day , that’s when it’s crowded down there!

Cabin number one had a dirty floor in the loft. The bedside table next to the bed in the loft was torn off and missing. The TV did not get a consistent signal, so we could not even watch live TV. Bugs were also in the corners throughout the cabin. Definitely not worth $350 a night. We won’t be renting again.

First time at this location and was impressed by the vastness of this property and the various opportunities/activities it provides for guests as well as the location itself which was beautiful and peaceful. It was strange we were not able to pick our own site but was given to us when we entered… are guests allowed to choose their own camp site? Sites were also very close to each other.

Overall we loved this campground, we were lucky to find a site same day and on a holiday weekend. The grounds were very clean restrooms were clean. The only downside was the restrooms were dated and slightly cramped.

Our stay was great. Campground was clean and orderly. Only problem was that our hookups ran up a small hill so our trailer did not drain without a ton of assistance from 3 of us manually lifting drains and snaking the “stuff” through it. But overall, it was amazing.

Well, we like to come to Temecula to go camping and we like to camp in the oaks on the left side when you’re driving in, we were put in a way down in the oaks thing and we were not happy when we checked all the time we were there for nights there were many available spots when you’re driving in on the left-hand side close to the showers that’s where we were expecting to be unhappy unpleasant

We loved our stay at Temecula Vail lake. The grounds were beautiful, the activities for kids were great. The store, cafe, and staff were exceptional. Wi-Fi needs some improvement as it didn’t work for us. At night the space numbers are hard to see and you can miss the main entrance when it gets dark. We liked this KOA so much we plan to be back often.

We did not enjoy the campground. The bathroom facilities are really rough shape, and in dire need of a renovation. The sites have zero privacy and are advertised as gravel, when they are actually dirt that turns muddy when wet. The campground isn’t well maintained. We came specifically for the mountain bike trails, and that was also disappointing. Please invest in some trail signage . Thx

We love this campground and loved seeing the upgrades to many of the sites. I would love to see the sites just on dirt to go down in price some and the others remain at the higher price. I would also love to see the dog play area extended since there is space for it and make it a small dog only area. Then across from it in the grass and trees build a fence for a large play space for big dogs.

It's a ghetto, inadequate sewer system, poor maintenance on sites, no internet ever even in premium sites, no quiet hours nor enforcement of anything, people driving around in rented electric vehicles like its a racetrack , place its dirty

This is our favorite campground in so cal! We loved our campsite in the Oaks with the patio. It helped keep our RV much cleaner since we weren’t camping on dirt. Some suggestions for improvement would be bathroom remodels and replacing the laundry room machines with digital smartphone pay machines. I did not have enough quarters and the front desk could only give me $1 worth.

We love camping at Vail Lake KOA. The activities for the kids are great and the festive vibes are always a bonus. Staff members are typically pretty helpful and friendly. Heather went above and beyond with getting us checked in and answering all the questions we had. She was patient, polite and easy to work with. Big THANK YOU to her.

We loved the property. The trees, amenities, and beauty was what did it for us. Two suggestions: please fix the light at the pickleball courts. It’s wired for lighting but it’s been vandalized and not fixed. As well, we took a walk to the lake and there was no trash cans on the walk or at the picnic table. That is why there is trash near the lake, unsafe for wildlife and dirty looking.

We stayed at site 232. It was inclined and it was very difficult for us to use our RV properly. It would be great if we can pick the sites rather than be assigned to them. I tried to ask them to move us but nobody answered our calls. Otherwise, the restrooms are clean.

First off, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We are not established campground people, so it was very stimulating and loud. My one feedback would be to have a quiet section for campers - specifically tent - that does not have to put up with the locals that stay / live there long term. It was loud through 2:00 AM. The amenities were great, and the trail to the lake was a nice thing!

Place is nice, other than the old lady in the front desk waa very rude to me, I didnt get her name but he she works in the morning shes skinny and kind of tall, I had a specific reservation for automobile camping and she denied me even tho its an option online and told me that she cannot allow me, I reserve for a chardonay and she moved me to arroyo, and told me I was giving her a hard time

The campground is beautiful and the cabins are very nice and clean. My kids and I had a blast with the large group of people we went with. However, the front desk staff was not friendly. No acknowledgment when you entered the building, no friendly smile. No “thank you for staying with us” at checkout. Customer service needs improvement.

Nice location with nice views . However experienced some rude staff at check in . Bathroom smelled musty ( shower curtain ) . I would return.

The stay was amazing. The staff was great, the camp was clean as well as the bathrooms. We came al the way from Albuquerque and will definitely be returning. The one thing that was hard was no power at the lower arroyo where we stayed . Our generator would not start so we had to constantly charge our battery on our trailer with our truck. Other than that everything was perfect
