Temecula KOA at Vail Lake Reviews

Since KOA bought the resort, they have continually made improvements. They are slowing fixing up the campsites with pavers and fire pits. The sites in the Oaks have Weber barbeques as well. There is miniature golf, a nice pool area, and a bar and live music on the weekends. The camping rates have gone up and are a little on the pricey side but overall a great place to camp.

Great family friendly camping with lots of room grassy areas and trails to walk and bike. Water pressure is good and no issues with my 30 amp or sewer connections. Love the 24hr gate attendant upon entrance to the camp grounds.

I have been coming here for 10 yrs. I love all the improvements. The patio campsites are awesome. The one thing I would work on is the bathrooms in the Oaks. Locked shower doors would be a great improvement. Im not sure how the others are. Other than that, we love it and will be back.

My family and I really enjoyed camping at Temecula/ Vail Lake KOA. We arrived on a Friday evening and went strait to the band to enjoy some live music with food from the diner. Saturday we played mini golf, rode the trails, and finished with another evening of live music. The atmosphere was great. If i had to have a "CON" it would be that I was a little jealous of my neighbors with upgraded sites.

I’ve been coming to Vail for several years for various MTB race series, and the resort and staff never disappoint. Large spacious and clean campsites. The restrooms are a bit old, but the hot water gets hot in the shower. There is plenty of to do and loads of trail options throughout the park.

Always perfect campsites always maintained and the service was impeccable the staff driving around are always so friendly and willing to help.

Excellent campground with visible staff keeping things quiet at night. Highly recommend. Looking for dates to return. If only the website let you put in a date range and see, on a map, what’s available. It would also be great to be able to click on the map and see the calendar for that site.

Enjoyed our stay, everyone working at the KOA that we came across were very friendly and took time to answer our questions. We noticed all the improvements in some of the campsite areas with the gravel and adding the patios. Also noticed the removal of sites 126-129 and the additional cabins put in their place. Are there any plans to update the restrooms?

Staff are very friendly! Sites are big and spacious. Beautiful views! Bathrooms are clean, but the floors need some attention. Love the fact that you can hang out and have a drink at the Bunkhouse Bar and meet new fellow campers! We will definitely keep coming back!

Nice campground - looking forward to when the roads get repaved and the bathrooms get updated. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially in the main office/check-in area and the grounds crew!

Pkeasant, relaxing

Several things happened before and during our stay. I wanted to explain but may not have enough room. The main thing I wanted to say is that you have to speak with campsite and not the after hour people Linda was the best help and corrected the mistakes. The electricity went out for one day and I had to speak with someone with authority in order to get one day refunded. It was stressful.

Loved it. Only problem is I tried to reach front office around 5:30 on the 15th. suppose to be open till 6, no one answered

Great place and lots to do at the KOA. An added bonus is the world class mountain bike trails there.

When I got to the Bungalow, the door deadbolts didn't work, there was no stove working, no hot water, no heat, the Propane guy showed up and burped the stove, but still no hot water or heat, he said he called it in, but the first night was nothing, the second night we got Hot water, but no heat, finally on the third and final night we got heat! Yea! Pretty disapointing for $1000

Campground continues to get better each time we visit. A little work to the mini golf course would be the only thing I would see helping with our stay. Otherwise, the bike trails are great, camp spots are well maintained and all the utilities worked great.

It’s a beautiful location and we love the area. The roads are in terrible shape and the electrical boxes are severely outdated and seldom work properly.

One of our favorite places to stay. Always a good time. Booked another stay while we were there.

We are local to Temecula and Cycle there weekly. We made the Stay for a BMX event (Dirty Fest). Even though we live within 15minutes of the park We will likely make more frequent stays in the future. Thank You and Kudos to Eric Carter's contributions to the Facility!!
