Unaccommodating facilities for boaters, no where to wash your boat(“water eco friendly”, whatever that means for a marine environment), not allowed to park boat anywhere but on the street, forces you to pack everything up every day like your leaving so nothing gets stolen, complete BS. Lots of the staff are confused, all have to ask one another for permission. To many rules, Airbnb next time.

Sites were perfect but the pool was very warm and the water along the beachfront is not safe. It is a rock bottom and very slippery, so the beachfront sites are not worth it. Be prepared for sand fleas or no see’ems nightly. A great location and very nice staff.

We stayed in the vacation suites and we absolutely loved it. The room had everything we needed. The pool area is so beautiful. The staff was so helpful and friendly and everyone we came in contact with was so nice. Thank you to Wendy the general manager for being so helpful.

Loved all the foliage and the pool area with the bar! Sites are super private. Only complaint is all the foliage does bring a lot of knats. Bring bug spray

Beautiful campground with a perfect location. The staff were extremely helpful. The food and drinks were impeccable. We definitely would stay again.

Overall stay was good. Staff at front desk and riding on gold carts were awesome. Only issue was one night the female (older) bartender acted like my ID was fake, didn’t listen to anything when we ordered a drink (didn’t put salt on rim, or put it when we said we didn’t want it) and it seemed like she was either drunk or high.

Loved our site! All spots seem roomy and pretty private w/ the landscaping. There just seems to be a flooding problem with the heavy rain we received. It appeared just about all of the sites were flooded with about 3" of water. Some subsided quickly, some didn't. You can't control Mother Nature & no harm was done, but a heads up to campers would be good if these torrential downpours are predicted.

beautiful campground and great staff only wish they would check for the wrist bands they asked to be worn at pool. when there on Thursday 8/17 only one other couple had them on and the pool was full

I paid one year in advance, extra to reserve site #4 for my pop-up camper after having a great experience in 2022. Switching me to site #501 was THE SINGLE worst site I have been on in 30 years camping. Old Woman and Big Eyelashes in office were condescending. My unit barely fit and the table was in the bushes with tons of bugs. Doug asst mgr was indifferent. Next up Google with details.

We stayed in the Hotel in a condo type room. Our room was a ADA compliant room, which wasn't necessary. We had no bathroom door, which was inconvenient and disconcerting. No one informed us of the ADA thing when I made our reservation. It would have been nice it they disclosed that information to me. I would have preferred a bathroom with a door, as we had a guest w us.

We stayed 7 nights and enjoyed the landscaping beauty of the campgrounds and proximity to the water. The pool/cafe/store/bar is especially nice. We didn’t use the marina but think it’s great too. All of our encounters with staff was very good. Our only negative experience was the site flooding after rain.

We absolutely loved it there!!! Stayed in a tent in mid august which was a fun experience. The KOA is beautiful and all the lizards made it super exciting. The one downfall is if you’re staying in a tent the laundry room is open 24 hours and people come with their lights on in the middle of the night to do laundry…slam their car doors and the laundry door with the light shining right in the te

This KOA has to be one of the nicest we have stayed at! The grounds are perfectly manicured with beautiful plants and gardens. The pool area is like a resort.. the whole place was. Wonderful

The sites are big and well-kept. Employees are nice and very responsive. The restrooms and laundry rooms are clean. The pool is clean as well. I love the bar and the activities. Ashley the bartender prepared for my husband a banana daiquiri that was the boom! This was our third year coming and planning to come back next year.

our stay was faboulous we had such a great time the hotel was so nice and clean as always and the staff is amazing so helpful and accommodating. This place is our special place we haven't found such a wonderful KOA experience than this one. Its our favorite place in the Keys to stay.

Very clean and beautifully landscaped. Each site had loads of privacy. Everything worked great. The pool was nice and felt private and secluded with the surrounding greenery. My only request would be for a playground.

Beautiful RV park and great location close to Key West and good restaurants. The pool lounge chairs need pads. Also, extra cars and boats need to be parked in overflow areas to leave main roads clear.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Mike at the marina and Nikki in the office went above and beyond during our stay. A pricey campground but you get what you pay for!

Our stay at the Sugarloaf KOA was wonderful! The staff was very kind and helpful with any questions we had. Wendy the general manger is amazing! We had a mix up with our other hotel and didn’t have a place to stay when we got there. Wendy was very sweet and accommodating and came to the campground to get us checked in after hours and get us a room at 4am. Would highly recommend staying here!

This is my second time staying there. I think I first stayed there in Dec 2021 and now in Aug 2023. I was glad to see that the campground was still clean, landscape has grown and looks healthy, and the staff was just as good on this trip as it was from before. Thank you for he great experience!

My husband and I just got back from our stay at Sugarloaf. It was everything we have been told and more. From check in to check out, the staff was always there to help with a smile. The grounds are amazing. There is not a bad spot, every site is clean and well maintained. The pool is beautiful, live music and bar area is very nice and the store has everything you would need if something was forgotten. We met so many wonderful fellow campers and we've booked for next year.

Everyday in the Keys are PARADISE!!! This island resort has 2 beautiful new hotels with large suites to accommodate your family. Fully stocked Marina for all your fishing needs,also has boats, paddle boards, kayaks, bikes, pedal carts for rent. Sandy Beach with loungers and inflatable water floats to play on. The pool is so well landscaped you wouldn't believe your in the middle of a RV resort!!!! There's a enormously large hot tub, lounge areas around gas fire pits, hammocks hidden in the beautiful lounge area to just relax in the shade and forget about everything. The Pub,Store & Cafe are great amenities and all centrally located by the pool. This is Glamping in the Island Keys!!!!

I almost don't want to review this KOA because everyone will want to go. This is an AMAZING campground. The staff work tirelessly to keep the park clean and they are all super friendly and helpful. The amenities are outstanding from the activities, rental items( boats, kayaks, bikes) to the full liquor BAR and live music. The camp store has everything if you forgot to pack something and offer quick bites to eat. The location is perfect for a quick day trip to Key West. Can't wait to go back!
