Meet Your Hosts

We're excited to once again make Sugarloaf Key/Key West KOA is your camping headquarters while you're enjoying all that Key West has to offer! Stay tuned for our upcoming re-open date.
Wendy is focused on customer service and providing guests with the feeing of home while staying at her campground."I find so much pleasure in watching families have fun together and create memories that will last a lifetime. It's a feeling that makes me want to go to work every day."
Having spent most of her career as an owner and operator of a specialty food service business in a Southern California ski resort town, Wendy and her husband retired in 1996 to pursue their dream of seeing the country in an RV. As fulltime Rvers, love of the lifestyle was the catalyst that persuaded her to pursue work opportunities. "What I didn't know is I would discover a career in the camping industry that I truly love."
Now, for over 20 years, Wendy has taken the extra steps to make sure every detail is checked to meet the guests expectations. She has consistently been honored with the KOA President's & KOA Founder's Awards and was recognized in 2005 as the KOA Company Owned Property Manager of the Year. In 2011 she was the recipient of the KOA Care Camps "I Care" Award for her fundraising efforts to help send kids with cancer to special summer camps where they can receive medical attention. She holds this special honor near to her heart.
Wendy and her team are thrilled to welcome KOA campers back to the newly rebuilt Sugarloaf Key/Key West KOA.
