For those of you who have followed along our journey to recovery after Hurricane Irma, you know it’s been a long one. On September 10, 2017 our much beloved campground was destroyed after Irma made landfall on the Keys as a Category 4 hurricane. Much of the Keys succumbed to widespread and catastrophic damage.
In redeveloping our campground, we wanted to utilize the opportunity to truly create a Key West get-away. One that exemplifies the beauty of our area while providing the best in campground hospitality, services and amenities. We are now so excited to begin accepting reservations to welcome our guests back, invite new campers to KOA and share our little piece of paradise with you.
What You Can Expect:
Similar to our last campground, campers at Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOA can enjoy a beautiful pool, poolside pub with amazing food and ice-cold drinks, a Marina stocked with everything you need for a day on the water and so much more.
Our stunning back-in patio waterfront sites allow campers to enjoy the best views of the water while enjoying the comforts of their very own patio. Neighboring back-in waterfront sites have quick access to our swimming beach while our many pull-thru KOA patio sites are centrally located, spacious and allow campers to stretch their legs, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the beauty only found at the Keys.
Standard KOA amenities like a Kamp K9 for your four-legged friends, two laundry rooms and a pocket park with cornhole, bocce ball, and hammocks will ensure your stay with us is as easy and fun as possible.
What’s New:
No RV? No problem! The onsite Sugarloaf Key Hotel will offer guests a unique and comfortable stay. Each rental suite includes a private balcony, in-room kitchen with coffee maker and a private bathroom. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, we are sure these will be a popular destination for our friends who are not traveling by RV.
Vacation Rentals are not yet available for reservations online, but stay-tuned as more announcement and progress takes place.
