The campground was quiet and nice enough but there is a bee problem, the bathrooms need more upkeep and the office is never open. We arrived without any idea on how to check in. The RV we rented was trashed and falling apart. The smell inside of the rv was horrid, we were unable to ever use the bathroom because it was putrid, the maintenance staff attempted to fix the smell several times.

There was no notice that I saw that check in was between 3-4pm so I was disappointed to not be able to check in with someone and buy firewood, etc. At 920am I went to the store to provide the paperwork and rent a golf cart and the store was closed (was supposed to open at 9) went back at 1030 and the store was still closed. Could not do paddleboats, waterside, golf cart etc. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

I had a lot of things wrong with the camper we rented. And every time we called or went to the desk and asked for help we had two young kids show up who couldn’t fix it. Then we would be told someone else would come after 4pm and NO ONE EVER CAME AND WE WOULD WAIT AROUND AND MISS TIME ON CAMPING AS A FAIMLY. I even left a note saying I needed to talk to a manager and I have not received a call.

The office closed early every day. waterside was closed 3 of the 4 days we were there. The "lake" was a very small pond which was not suitable for paddleboarding or swimming. What was advertised to us was nit what we got. The bathrooms were disgusting. They were not cleaned once in the 4 days we were there. Plus: the safari tent was awesome. The staff there worked so hard and was very polite.

Our first time staying at Strafford. The site was on the busiest traveled road with way too much golf cart activity and noise. The staff kindly relocated us to a quiet spot we found on our morning walk. The big problem was we were without water 2 nights in a row and the morning we were leaving. They didn't offer compensation for amenities we paid for. Too much work for a short stay :(

Our favorite campground! We love Strafford KOA, but this past weekend we had some problems. I understand staffing has been a problem and workers are going back to school. The store was closing at 4:00, rather than 8:00, but on Sunday it closed at 1:00! We, among many others were unable to make purchases or order pizza, due to this, no activities on Sunday was a disappointment for the kids.

Teenagers run the entire operation. There are no adults present. Trash isn’t picked up until late, dog park is unkempt and terrible. Pool trash regularly overflowing, children swimming in regular diapers, still trying to determine what the resort fee was for as the slide rarely ran correctly. Pond is tiny, swimming area maybe 3’ deep. If you visit KOAs bc of the quality- this ISNT the typical

We arrive to a non cleaned rental RV, which was cleaned only after I flagged down a staff member. The office line was not answered after 4 pm. We had a back up because they never pumped at night as posted. The bathroom closest to out RV was never cleaned during the 4 nights we stayed with no toilet paper.

We stayed in a half bath Tree Top Tent. It was easy to relax right away with no set up required. The Half bath is convenient, we used the fire pit and the chiminea,both! The beds and the pullout sofa were comfy. We forgot to reserve a golf cart, all were taken, must remember to reserve in advance, and bring an extra extension cord, outlets are along the walls and do not reach any seats.

Beautiful stay at this KOA - very well maintained and several great options for lodging. There is a great pond for swimming and plenty of fun for the kids.The store opens on the later side (9 am) and closes on the earlier side (4 pm) than most KOAs I’ve been to, but that would be my only critique - otherwise, it is wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay here last august 2021, so we came back again from Maryland. Unfortunate a big decline in overall service and cleanliness from last year . The store hours now close at 4pm, but check in is at 3pm. You cannot purchase ice, essentials or receive customer service after 4pm. The bathrooms are filthy , over clogged drains and water backing up. Yellow jackets everywhere.

We've been here many times and it's not the same. Accommodations were not as clean as usual. No activities during the week. They forgot to deliver ice & firewood bought at check in so we had to call. The water stopped working 3 times during our stay. The pool water looked milky, not clear like it used to be. The tables at the pool were dirty so we cleaned them daily. Staff was very friendly.

Our reservations got messed up, and we were contacted by the campground the day before we were to check in. The situation was resolved but I still don't understand how this happened. We were also surprised that the camp store closed at 4:00 rather than 8PM which is typical.

We enjoyed our stay the campsite was very roomy with a great firepit. The only down side was under age people driving the golf carts way to fast and kicking up dust. Two of the golf carts almost hit each other in front of our site.

Got no response when trying to call or email for additional info. The cabin was not clean when I checked in. The bath house shower was gross and the other shower was out of order along with one of the sinks. The pool is in need of repair as many of the tiles were missing around the top. The arcade was filthy and some the gaming items need replacement.

I didn't like that the store closed so early this year (4pm). Also that some stuff (like toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soap, etc) that was offered previous years... was less stocked, or had to be asked for.

This was our 2nd week camping here this summer. We loved the campground and staff ( although young) . Sadly, We didn’t have the best visit this week as the bees were horrendous, 2 of my kids got stung, meals couldn’t be outside, kids couldn’t play at table ,didn’t get to enjoy our campsite. staff came up 3 days straight and sprayed the retaining walls, worked for a few hours but it was sti

Stayed here 8 nights. Well maintained campground sites level and wide enough. Quite noisy barking dogs screaming children and golf cart traffic. Reasonably close to Portsmouth for touring.

Really liked our site and the campground. I was extremely disappointed that the store closed daily at 4:00PM and I understand they are short staffed, but it made it difficult on check in and for me when I showed up after that time. I assume there is management for the store, so they should be working what is necessary to make sure that the store is open later and customers have support when needed

One thing we noticed about our stay vs. the many other KOAs we have stayed at, was that your office and store hours are inadequate. Check-in begins at 3 p.m. but your office and store is closed by 4 p.m. so that campers are unable to check in, resolve issues with their site, and buy ice, wood, and other essentials after 4 p.m. Most KOAs we've stayed at had hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

I love the campground. I have 2 issues: 1. The young kids that fly around in the golf carts are a danger to others and themselves. 2. Why don't they have a designated time for adults only swimming in the pool? I think that would be awesome. I also want to give a big kudos to T. the new general manager. She has a great personality, helpful, and appears to be very aware of what campers want.

We had a group of 8 cabins! some cabins had dirty linens on the beds, the floors were dirty, the ceiling fans could not be turned on because of the amount of thick dust on the blades and my card didn’t work to open the gate at night, it was raining getting me and my car soaked while trying to get the card to work but it never did. The year before was great but we are going elsewhere next year!

Cabin could have been cleaner. Toilet in accessible unit is way too low, should be higher for handicapped person. Sprayer in sink was busted, hard to wash dishes and clean without it. Otherwise stay was good!

We love our time at KOA Strafford but the office ours are disappointing (4pm close) and they definitely could do a better job cleaning/maintaining the rental units(2 broken camp chairs in our screen house on arrival). The water activities are great with good prices and the water slide is a lot of fun. Was disappointed that the pool closed early one day for a private party.

Safari tent was amazing! Pool area was nice. Pond area was sufficient. The staff were patient and helpful in spite of being short staffed. The game room was lacking and the weekly activities consisted of a movie each night. Other KOAs we have stayed at did much more in the activity area. My kids also missed the jumping pillow that are found at many KOAs. All in all a positive experience.

This was our fist stay here, we rented a Deluxe Cabin: overpriced! The bunk beds were not more than 5'7" wall to wall. Missing utensils and silverware; not enough plates, cups etc. We were rushed through our check-in by young staff who did not mention that Office/Store closed at 4:00pm, so ended up with no firewood or needed supplies. Would not stay here again.

We had a really pleasant stay, all the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We did rent an RV and noticed right when we arrived that the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned, the toilet was still dirty from the last campers and the bathroom smelled absolutely terrible. We also wish that you could take the golf carts on the walking trail as we felt there wasn't enough space to ride them.

Very disappointed in this KOA. Office/store close every day at 4 yet you can’t check in until 3. Campsite had dog poop all over it. The camp sites are not maintained well. So many ants and any holes we had to keep our dogs inside. Bathrooms were not clean. Office staff is young and they do not know what they are doing. In the 2.5 days there we never saw an adult working.

The camp bathhouses were unkept and dirty. The deluxe sites were underwhelming, and not worth the price compared to other comparable camp resorts deluxe options. Our site as well as our friends had an almost constant odor of septic over flow. We booked as a group of several campers, and were on opposite areas of the campground.

We spent several days here at the end of September. Lovely site, very quiet (especially during the week). Incredibly friendly and helpful staff (including Caleb, Jay, Marvin, and Haley). Quick walk from our site to very clean bathrooms, easily accessible showers. I think you may be closer to the Seacoast than Lake Winnie but that's less relevant. This is a great spot for just relaxing if you're trying to escape the rest of the world for a while. (FYI, Door Dash delivered some Pizza Hut from Rochester. We met them at the front gate, but it definitely saves a ride into Rochester.)

This KOA is ideally situated and offers a variety of accommodations. The grounds are clean and well-appointed. There is a pool, playground, basketball courts and a pond. Paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes are available for a fee and in good condition. We stayed for a week and enjoyed it very much. It was located within driving distance of Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts. We would have spent more time exploring and relaxing at the KOA if not for our travel itinerary. I recommend this place to anyone traveling through the Granite State. Check it out!
