General Campground Information

Pets and Vaccination Requirements

You must provide vaccination records for any pets you are bringing with you to camp. Without proof of vaccination, provided at the time of check-in, your pet will not be permitted to enter the campground. Any pets found to be on our property without proper documentation will be ejected from the park and the guests will not be permitted to return.
Visitors to our registered guests are not permitted to bring pets.
There is a maximum of 6 pets allowed on an RV site. There is no pet fee charged for pets on an RV site. 
A maximum of two pets per pet-friendly accommodation per night are allowed. A $50 per pet fee will be applied to all accommodation reservations with pets.
No pets are to be left unattended inside any of our accommodations at any time.  
Pets must be leashed at all times when outside. 
Any pet damage to accommodations may be subject to applicable repair and replacement fees at the time of check-out.
Aggressive animals will immediately be ejected and not permitted to return.
Consistently loud animals are not permitted to stay on our property, even outside of quiet time hours.

Mail / Packages

We are not able to accept personal mail and packages at the campground. Guests may use the Post Office located at 1079 Parker Mountain Rd., Strafford, NH 03884.

Store Hours

  • Monday-Thursday: 10 am - 5 pm
  • Friday-Saturday 9 am - 8 pm
  • Sunday: 9 am - 5 pm

Check-In & Check-Out Times

Our check-in time (for sites and for golf carts) is 3pm. If early check-in is available any time prior to 3pm, there will be a $30 fee charged to the card on file. If you would like to inquire about early check-in, please call our front desk at 603-332-0405 and select option 1. Speaking to someone outside of the property will not guarantee an early check-in. We are unable to assess early check-in times available prior to our 11am check-out. 
Check-out is 11am. There are no late check-outs available for our accommodations.

Firewood Policy

To protect our forest and your vacation spot, we do not permit firewood of any kind, from anywhere, to be brought into the campground by any camper or guest.
You will be required to dispose of any firewood brought with you prior to entering the campground or we will not check you in.
If outside firewood is found at your site after check-in, you will be asked to leave without refund.
Using any of our natural foliage or branches will result in your immediate removal from the campground.
Kiln-dried hardwood, certified bug-free, is available at our store.

Golf Cart Rentals

To reserve a golf cart online: 
Please select 'Other Sites' from the drop-down menu under 'Ways to Stay' when booking a reservation.

Please note that our operating hours for cart usage are 6am-10:30pm. Anyone operating the cart outside of these hours will have the cart taken away without refund.

Golf Cart Rentals are subject to availability. It is recommended to reserve your golf cart prior to the date of your stay! 
All drivers must be 18+ with a valid driver's license on file at the office. If a minor is found operating a golf cart, the cart will be taken with no refund.
There are no alcoholic beverages allowed on our golf carts, by drivers or passengers. 
The speed limit throughout the campground is 5mph.                                                                                                                            
All personal golf carts must be electric.
A $10 per day fee will be charged for guests who wish to bring their personal golf carts. 
ATV's and minibikes are not allowed.
Road legal motorcycles are restricted to directly entering and leaving the campground only.

Vehicle Policy

A maximum of two vehicles per site are allowed. The first vehicle is included in the reservation and may be parked on the site. The second vehicle is $10 per day for the parking pass.

Visitor Policy

Visitors to our registered guests are welcome but must check-in at the front office and pay a $10 per parking pass. Visitors cannot exceed the maximum number of occupants per site. A maximum of two vehicles per site are allowed. Any other vehicles must park in overflow. 
Campers are responsible for their visitors and all visitors must leave the campground by 10 p.m. on the day they are visiting. Visitors are not permitted to bring pets onto our campground. Visitors must sign our waiver prior to entering the park.

Site Occupancy

The maximum number of occupants on an accommodation site cannot exceed the maximum number of guests the unit can sleep. Our tent sites allow for 2 pieces of tenting equipment and six guests per site. We do not allow any camping tents at accommodations. Minors must be accompanied by an adult 18+ at all times.

Select My Site

To guarantee a specific site location, a one-time lock fee of $59.99 will be applied to your reservation at the time of booking.  Without this fee, the site location will not have a guarantee. Site requests are based on availability.

Pool Information

No lifeguard is on duty at the pool, swim at your own risk.
Please read all signs and rules posted.
No children 17 and under are allowed in the pool area without an adult.
No pets, smoking or glass items are allowed in the pool area.
No food or drinks are allowed in the pool area.
Running, diving and dangerous horseplay are prohibited.
Pool and spray park hours: 9 AM to 7 PM
Slide hours: Friday 4 PM - 7 PM Saturday 11 AM - 7 PM
The pool is open from 5/10/24 - 10/15/24
The water slide has a minimum height requirement of 44 inches. Slide attendant will turn small children away for their safety.

Security Gates

After hours access is available only with an access card. Each reservation will be provided with one gate card. A $10 fee will apply for lost or damaged cards.

Speed Limit and Bikes

The speed limit throughout the campground is 5 miles per hour. If you are found speeding, your parking pass may be revoked and your vehicle removed from our campground. Street legal registered motorbikes are allowed, please no revving or joyriding in the campground.

Quiet Hours and Campfires

Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
We ask that you be a courteous camper at all times and, while you are having fun during the day, that you don't infringe on other campers relaxation.
Please no TVs, radios, karaoke machines, or bright lights. Please keep all other noise to a courteous level and fires low as not to disturb others. (Rental of the Raccoon Lodge is available for evening karaoke and other activities - please inquire at the front desk for availability).
Children age 17 and under must be on a site by 9:30 p.m. unless accompanied by a responsible adult. Minors should never be left unattended on the campground.
Please do not leave fires unattended. All fires must be extinguished upon leaving.

Decoration Policy

We appreciate your enthusiasm for our themes and encourage all families to decorate their sites appropriately. Please do not nail into or paint our trees. Signs and decorations must be appropriate for our family audience and cannot disturb your neighbors. We do not allow any political signage or endorsements on our property. Radios, bright lights or blinking lights, and other noise must be kept at reasonable levels at all times. All decorations, including all strings and cords, must be removed at check-out.  Kampgrounds of America, Inc. is dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all of its guests, franchisees and employees. Symbols that are intended to - or have the effect of - harassing, demeaning, intimidating or disparaging any legally protected minority, run counter to that goal and are in conflict with the values of our organization. Therefore, Kampgrounds of America, Inc. bans the display of the Confederate battle flag symbol by KOA owners, staff, campers and any other members of the public and prohibits the sale of the Confederate flag symbol on all properties either owned, operated, or franchised by Kampgrounds of America, Inc. Guests or members of the public found to be in violation of this policy will be immediately asked to remove or cover the Confederate battle flag symbol. If they fail to do so, they will be asked to vacate the property.

Be a Courteous Camper

Clotheslines are not permitted without clothes on them. Please do not cut through other campsites, stay on the roads.
No firearms or fireworks. No excessive drinking or partying allowed. No alcohol consumption outside of your campsite is permitted. The use of illegal drugs and disorderly conduct will not be tolerated. Smoking tobacco is allowed at your designated campsite and is prohibited anywhere else. You must dispose of cigarette butts safely in a designated receptacle. Marijuana use is not allowed anywhere on our property. All of our accommodations are non-smoking. A minimum cleaning fee of $250 will be charged if we determine that smoking occurred inside a rental. 
Please do not cut any branches or deface any of the natural surroundings, trees or vegetation.
Failure to be respectful to any of our team members, or other guests, will result in ejection from the campground without refund.
Violation of our Courteous Camper Policy may result in ejection without refund.

Recycling/Trash

Please utilize our trash receptacles throughout the campground for miscellaneous trash. Our staff conducts trash pickup at the sites daily between the hours of 9am-2pm. Please leave tied up bags of trash next to the road outside of your site for pickup between these hours only. Please do not leave trash outside overnight as that will attract wildlife.

Cancellation Policy - RV & Tent Sites

Please call the campground to cancel your reservation. Text, E-mail, and Voicemail notifications of cancellations are not acceptable. Not speaking to a representative or a no show will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

RV and Tent Sites:
If the reservation is canceled prior to 48 hours, the deposit will be refunded except a $10.00 cancellation fee.
If the reservation is canceled within 48 hours of the arrival date, reservations are subject to a cancellation fee of the first night stay plus tax deposit.

Sites on Holiday Dates: (Memorial Day, July 4th , Labor Day, etc.)
If the reservation is canceled prior to fourteen (14) days of the arrival date, the deposit will be refunded except a $10.00 cancellation fee.
If the reservation is canceled within fourteen (14) days of the arrival date, reservations are subject to a cancellation fee of the first night stay plus tax deposit.

Cancellation Policy - Accommodations/Lodging

Please call the campground to cancel your reservation. Text, E-mail, and Voicemail notifications of cancellations are not acceptable. Not speaking to a representative or a no show will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

Deluxe Cabins, Camping Cabins, RV Rentals, Deluxe RV Rental and Safari Tents:
If the reservation is canceled prior to seven (7) days, the deposit will be refunded except a $10.00 cancellation fee.
If the reservation is canceled less than seven (7) days of the arrival date, reservations are subject to a cancellation fee of the first night stay plus tax deposit.

Accommodations on Holiday Dates: (Memorial Day, July 4th , Labor Day, etc.)
If the reservation is canceled prior to thirty (30) days of the arrival date, the deposit will be refunded except a $20.00 cancellation fee.
If the reservation is canceled within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, reservations are subject to a cancellation fee of the first night stay plus tax deposit.

Cancellation Policy - Groups

Please call the campground to cancel your reservation. Text, E-mail, and Voicemail notifications of cancellations are not acceptable. Not speaking to a representative or a no show will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

If your reservation is canceled 30 days prior to your arrival, the deposit will be refunded except a $20 change fee per reservation.
If you cancel your reservation less than 30 days prior to your arrival, all deposits paid will be consumed as your cancellation fee.

Deposit Policy

The standard deposit for all campground reservations is the first night's stay plus tax at the time of booking.

Resort Fee

There will be a resort fee of $9.99 per day added to each reservation. 
KOA resort fee includes: 
  • Professionally planned activities for the whole family 
  • Free deliveries of items purchased at camp store
  • Site escorts
  • Unlimited use of pool, splash pad, playground, and beach area during posted hours
  • Movie Nights in Raccoon Lodge when posted

Liability

Strafford / Lake Winnipesaukee South KOA is not liable for acts of theft, vandalism or damage caused by natural elements or others. You are responsible to carry insurance coverage for your camper, contents and belongings. We do not give refunds for inclement weather or loss of power.
