Everything was great, except how close in proximity the homeless camp is set up just beyond the creek. Does not make sleeping in a tent right there feel very safe.

I camped at the St Louis West for 1 night. The site was beautiful, grassy and close to the bathhouse. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Bathhouse was clean. I had two issues: the picnic table at my site was pretty old and on a slight slant so hard to cook on. And the campground is right near I44 so the traffic noise was constant and quite loud.

The staff were incredible. The grounds were clean and well maintained. Lots to do at the site and around the area. No complaints at all! I'd come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. We were pleasantly surprised to find a creek running behind the campground and enjoyed exploring it. The facilities were mostly clean and easy to access. The only issue we had was the first night the wood that we paid for was wet so they campfire was difficult to get started and maintain. I would appreciate dry wood and larger bundles in the future.

Tent site was spacious; picnic table was old and not in great shape. Laundry facilities were decent. Restrooms were better than most state parks but not as good as other KOA's we've stayed at. Clean, but could use updating. Over all good enough for our brief stay.

Our tent got flooded during a horrible long rain (almost 3 inches) and the guy working helped us get into a cabin! We are so thankful for such a kind guy. Wish I would have gotten his name. He also did a great job with the kids pumpkin carving!

Love the Halloween weekend activities! The staff at the store are patient, helpful and enthusiastic. One recommendation - Please restock the TP in the restrooms (especially near the tent sites) on busy weekends. We actually bought TP and left rolls in the tent site restroom. Longer term suggestion would be to pave the road around the tent sites. That would greatly reduce the dust.

This was our first camping experience as a family. Our daughters were invited to a birthday at KOA, and we decided to camp for the night instead of driving home. It was a great experience for everyone, even my not so outdoorsy kids. Bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly, and amenities were great. Clean grounds, pet friendly. 10/10 would recommend!!

I stayed in a tent so the train that goes by every 1.5 is very noticeable. Also, the bath house closest to us was out of toilet paper for about 12 hours. Aside from that, it is a nice campground.

Enclosed and secluded campground away from Interstate. Excellent tree shade around campsites. We were tent camping so most of the time ended up sitting outdoors. Outdoor seating was a little trippy because of too many insects. The bathrooms were spacious and nicely maintained.

Dads' Day 2025 was relaxing and enjoyable for us 5 Fathers (no kids this time... Yay!). Great weather didn't hurt. We camped, we barbecued, soaked in the fresh air and can't wait to come back. Friendly staff, like Kyle, were super helpful and never far away.

I needed a place to get off the road, and out of the heat, so I called the nearest KOA, and the one who answered immediately was able to access my profile from caller ID using my number - easiest booking I ever made. Arrived 45 minutes later and we had it made in the shade. Park was almost empty.

Was greeted with a smile, got my site, set my tent and slept very well. Got up packed and on my way home, early in the morning. Grounds were very clean and other campers were pretty quiet. Would recommend, to other motorcyclist or campers in general.

It was our first time staying at a KOA campground and we’re so glad that our first experience was at the St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA. Campground was very clean, plenty of space and the staff were friendly. I received info via text before our arrival and before check-out to make sure we had all the necessary info. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Well, no internet service when we were there so no entertainment or using credit card. It’s was over 90 and no kind of accommodation for the unexpected heat. Tent area only had 3 tents( I got no shaded area) Camp grounds are a little run down. Had site T08, bench rotting and falling over, fire pit never cleaned out so there was crap init( eggshells and other trash) but I got changed full price.

Nice campground. Bathroom needed better cleaning. Disappointed that site next to me kept getting turned over when plenty of other tent sites available. Staff friendly.

I stay at this KOA regularly. It is one of my happy places. I love how your staff goes out of their way to make me happy. They have provided firewood to make a fire at the pavilion when we were freezing to death. They have been cheerful to change my camping spot so I could have the perfect spot. They have recommended and provided good books. These things make a real difference . Thank you.�

When I arrived on a Saturday evening I used the bathroom in the main building. The shower stall had a band-aid and cigarette butt in the drain. When I left the following Monday morning, the same stall still had the band-aid and butt in it. On top of that the walls of the shower stalls had scum build up. Another bathroom on site had no toilet paper in it. Would not recommend this location.

Very clean and well kept. Friendly and helpful staff. My children, all grown now, would have loved it when they were little with the giant jumping pad and places to explore. Overall it was a great experience!

Easy access to this very nice KOA site. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a camping cabin which was simple and perfect for our needs.
