I felt safe all the time, staff were polite also they honour their word and everything was clean. It was perfect for me.

I booked the location online but there’s no one to assist for after hour bookings. And the toilets and showers have key code. This information is not shared via confirmation email and there’s no one at front desk to share this. Also didn’t receive any information on site number. This is something KOA needs to fix.

Facilities were clean, everything was in order, great location!

Very nice place to stay. Beautiful location.

Stay was amazing. Other than they said tent spots were full but only 2 out of 4 people were there and they placed us right next to each other and no one else ever showed up. Also they microwaved our breakfast sandwiches which made them taste HORRIBLE. They got so chewy it was so hard to eat and then got rock hard shortly after. So expensive and couldn’t even eat it. Other than that, amazing plac

Such helpful front staff. Increadible place to stay. Can’t match the views.

Tent sites are extremely small and grouped together. No privacy on either side of the site. No shelter from the road. Continual car noise both day and night and traffic can see right into the tent sites. The tents are placed on a five foot berm which makes set up and use of the tents difficult. The koa brochure does not show this tent placement, rather it shows a typical on the ground setup.

It was around $67/ night for dry camp site which it turns out you can't even park the car by the tent site but have to lug everything over the the separate tent site. I should be just boondocked. Bathrooms however were clean. Bald eagle nest on tree on middle of campground was cool but can be noisy. Sled dogs kennel is next door and the energetic dogs like to howl.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They were willing to make some last minute changes to my reservation. I was able to book a boat tour thru them, not only were able to print the ticket, but they also arranged for a shuttle to pick up and take me to the dock. As an added bonus, something that they can not promise, I able to see a mother moose with twin calves and 2 nesting eagles

Easy access to amenities, close to town. We were thankful for the place to stay. The only issue we had was that the tent platforms at the front of the campground are right on the road and the wind from the valley whips through hitting the tents head on.

I loved the tent platform! It was so comfortable and nice. The restrooms were always clean and the showers were warm and amazing with wonderful water pressure! We played a game of mini golf and had a blast. The campgrounds were clean and quiet at night! I also felt very safe there and even left my tent unattended during the day. 20/10 stay. Thank you for hosting us (:

I absolutely loved it! The only thing I wish were a bit different was the map online for the Seward website showed the tent sites to be next to the woods in the back corner where the now new cabins are located, moving the tent sites in the front of the lot near the road. Wish it the other way around. But understandable why they did that. (Probably for easier access.) they also have a dog team next

We had a wonderful site. Campground is in an excellent location, clean, very kind and responsive. I Look forward to returning soon

The overall facilities were nice. However, tent sites are far from the bathrooms. The store is only open 9-6 making it basically useless. And the howling of dogs all night long from the kennel next door was disruptive.
Jul 25, 2024
Clean and conveniently location close to Seward. There is a dog kennel next door but I did not hear them in the night. Campground is essentially a flat gravel/dirt lot but it is clean and quiet and was perfect for our stay.
Jul 24, 2024
Nice set up. Do not recommend people to use tents there. Next door is a sled dog kennel where the dogs will keep you up all night. On a windy day, the raised fake grassy bed does not allow you to stake your tent in as securely. Tent poles broke. Area is better for campers.

For a tent camping was very over price. I feel that I was scam. 62$us. For a small space with other tent at less 10 feet. Only thing that was good restroom and shower. Also slay dogs barking from next door.

We enjoyed our 2 stays in Seward, friendly people willing to accommodate . Thank you see you again

enjoyed it.

Exaggerated amenities. Small playground, tiny mini-golf, no heated bathroom floors. Tiny tent sites with limited parking. Neighboring dogs barked ALL night long.

Nice stay, nice people, but the WiFi is very spotty and there are not enough showers and bathrooms. There is also a kennel next door with dogs barking regularly. Not great.

Friendly staff. Good location. Clean restrooms. Major downside was the dog noise.
Jun 24, 2024
Very quiet except for the dog kennel next door. Easy to find. Restrooms are very nice and clean. I like the eagle nest so close to office
Jun 20, 2024
The only thing I saw was the grill at one of the cabins. It had not been cleaned and it stunk of fish and had fish skin all over it I assumed that is why there is a time spans in between check our and check in to make sure the sites are cleaned up. Otherwise it’s a great spot to stay

Even though the camping ground, the space, and amenities were fabulous, there is a dog mushing kennel right next door. If you are not familiar with mushing dogs: they bark in unison at everything that moves, and also when they get excited, day and night. Bring ear plugs, you'll need them to get a decent night of rest. Other than that, this KOA was immaculate!

Even when we arrived very late to the camp site the check in process was great. Beautiful, clean, all you need is available in this camping site. Loved the experience!!

Facility is fantastic, employees were helpful and friendly, everything was clean and well maintained but the barking sled dogs right next to the tent sites were just nuts. I ended up renting a cabin down the street for our second night because I couldn't afford to miss another nights sleep

The property is amazing and very kid friendly. The down side is they are right next to a dog sled team that barked and howled all night long. I don’t recommend, especially if you’re tent camping like we did. You’re right next to the dog sled team and will get no sleep!

Great location and awesome facilities (very clean bathroom/showers and laundry room)! Perfect for exploring Seward and Kenai Fjords NP. The kennel next door was definitely very loud (huskies howling) but only happened a couple times a day - during feeding time maybe? They were quiet through all three evenings we spent there.

Tent sites were located at furthest point from restrooms. Otherwise, great campground with great service.
Aug 13, 2023
Great place friendly team, but the alaskan dogs we’re more than I could handle so I left a day early. Great scenery around in their area. Great restaurants in town and a cruise ship to take you out to see the glaziers

Didn't care for the barking howling dogs next door.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you so much for your stay at our family owned KOA. We hope you enjoyed our small historical town and all the sights our town has to offer.

The campground was clean and well spaced. The bathrooms, shower and laundry were all in great condition while we were there. One thing that could easily be improved would be to add a couple more washers and dryers. The big downside was the noise from the dog kennel next door. During the day it was fine but the dogs were rowdy overnight and in the early morning hours waking us repeatedly.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you so much for choosing our Seward KOA as your location getaway in Alaska. We value all our guests comments and concerns. We hope you were able to get out and enjoy our small historical town and our sights.

Close to town. Decent showers. Campsites are very very close and there are no trees so zero privacy. Four showers for a full campground was insufficient. Nearby dog kennel makes it difficult to sleep with the howling. $60 usd for a basic tent site is excessive and I would look elsewhere in the future. Friendly staff.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for staying with us over the fourth of July weekend. We value all our guests comments and concerns. We hope you got to enjoy the festivity's. Have a great summer.

A nice enough campground, but having the tent sites next to a sled dog tour kennel is ridiculous. The dogs barked and howled 24/7 and there are dozens and dozens of them. There needs to be a warning of some sort prior to booking… what’s the point of a “quiet time”? I would have taken a hundred generators running all night. We cut our trip short because we needed sleep.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

All of us at the Seward KOA value our guests, we are always looking for ways to improve. We do hope that you have a great summer.

There was no grass to set a tent, okist a pad with carpeting. There were no trees. It was like camping on a gravel parking lot. There was a dog kennel next to campground with dogs barking/howling most of the night.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The Seward KOA wants to thank you for choosing us to stay at. We also want to thank you for all your feedback, we hope that you enjoyed Seward.

We tent camped in pouring rain and loved the platforms. They were nice to stay high and dry. The dog sleds were pretty comical and truly Alaskan, but the hike to the restroom in the middle of the night sucked. Poor planning putting the restrooms all the way across camp from people who truly need- tents and cabin. Class A motor homes and travel trailers have bathrooms. You need a porta potty

Thank you so much for booking with us.

The campground, facilities, and staff were fantastic. We would stay here again. Our only complaint is the noise from the dog kennel adjacent to the campground, but we understand that is beyond the control of management.

Thank you so much for your stay at the Seward KOA and we also want to thank you for your feedback.

Outstanding

I would recommend for RVing but not for tent camping. Tent platforms limit tent setup. Ended up car camping. For RVs it would be fine as the sites are level, long and wider than a lot of rv parks. The only issue that would impact anyone staying here is the dog kennel next door. Very loud at times. Views are spectacular and on the road to Exit Glacier and the NP.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for choosing our KOA to camp at, also thank you so much for your feedback. We at the Seward KOA want to make sure that everyone's stay is a great stay.

This is a clean family friendly campground that never disappoints. It is always fun to watch the eagles and be close to the EXIT glacier. The owners are always helpful. We would highly recommend this campground!

Our GPS took us straight to this campground just before Seward on Glacier Road. Check-in was quick and easy, and we headed to Deluxe Patio FHU Site 14 with 50 AMP. From the Journey signage, it appeared this KOA had recently been upgraded to a Holiday. The campground was laid out nicely, with sites not squished together. The gravel pad was long enough for our 40' toy hauler, allowing us to drop the rear deck and still park our F450. Utilities were well-centered on the pad, and having two sewer hookups was especially convenient since we have two black tanks. Along with the usual deluxe patio amenities, we appreciated the astroturf lawn for our pups. Trees lined the side and back perimeters, but with none along the road side we had a clear Starlink shot. The campground also provided Starlink WiFi with download speeds around 22.8 Mbps. Water pressure was steady at 35–40 PSI. Verizon gave us 2 bars, while T-Mobile had none. Amenities included a tidy laundry with three front-load washers and three regular-sized dryers. A fun bonus was hearing sled dogs barking at Turning Heads Kennel next door, an Iditarod competitor offering kennel tours and sled dog rides both there and on the glacier. We also enjoyed watching eaglets in the nest right across from our site. The staff were very accommodating, even moving a grill for us and delivering a propane fill back to our site. Overall, this was a well-run campground with thoughtful upgrades and memorable surroundings.
