Gorgeous views no matter where you looked. Bathrooms were clean. Had a great time with 5 RV’s in our group-nice grills and patio furniture also

We stayed for 3 nights enjoyed the campground and its closeness to everything we wanted to do and see! The surprise bonus was the 2 bald eagle nests in the park! We didn’t use the laundry and restroom facilities, but our dog likes the dog park!

Eagle nests in the campground! That says it all. The park is located conveniently between Seward and Exit Glacier, between two dog sled places, and just across the road from the river coming from the glacier. The staff was helpful and patient. My family loved it. I normally avoid KOA because it tends to be more expensive than other parks, but this one is definitely worth the price.

The stay was good. My only complaint is the sinks in the bathrooms very little water pressure and the auto shut off makes it almost impossible to shave comfortably

The best amenities for the price. There were other camps in the area that are closer to town, but none offered power and water hookups with a free dump station for the same price as KOA. Clean, clean, clean.

Very nice Koa! Hostess was wonderful. The view here is magnificent! Easy to get in and out of town. Bath and showers are great!

Everything about the stay was great. Easy in and out. Bathrooms are fabulous. The only note for owner is to please remove the products in the gift shop with foul language. If you won’t remove it then please don’t keep it near the ice cream where kids tend to look. This was very unprofessional and made me extremely disappointed in this campground.

Very nice campground, good size campsites, clean laundry and bathrooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Well stocked camp and gift store. Scenic views .

It was really good. The staff were kind and considerate. They were communicative. The place was clean, except after some guests had made a mess and when reported I came back to find the problem taken care of. The amenities were great. The scavenger hunt and the playground were so fun for the kids. They LOVE playing miniature golf. The space was everything we needed to enjoy our time in Seward.

The thing that impressed me the most were the people who work here. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. We normally Boondock, but we will probably stay at KOA more often

Best park in Alaska

We so enjoyed our stay in Seward. The location is great - complete with eagles with a nest right in the park, and sled dogs next door! A true Alaskan experience.

The Mush dogs next to KOA kept us awake all night. Facilities are nice but if you want a good nights rest, I’d go elsewhere.

Beautiful campground. Great staff. Excellent amenities. Would have rated 5 stars, but WiFi was down and service is not great (one bar)-we were planning on getting work and schooling done and it was a struggle. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay.

Came over for an event "pre-season". Spent two nights, and the first night there was one other camper, second night just us. But the campground was fully functional. Sites are level, flat and solid. Bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly.

From our late arrival all the way through our stay everything was perfect! Terry was such a sweetheart to welcome us at nearly 10 pm and make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay! The park was clean and inviting and well laid out! Bathhouse was awesome too! We will definitely visit this KOA again! Thank you for a delightful visit!

Amazing campground. Clean, willing to work with the campers needs, within a short drive to downtown Seward and Exit glacier, and extremely accommodating. Highly recommend staying here.

I stayed in the KOA for two and a half months, and had a great experience. The staff were all friendly, kind and helpful. The site was nice, the showers delightful and laundry was good. It was super busy in July and August, and September was quieter and nice.

Great way to end the camping season! Practically had the whole place to ourselves!

Enjoyed our stay here. I appreciated the turf area at our RV spot. It rained a lot but that helped keep mud down. I liked having the fenced in area dog park. The showers were hot with great water pressure. They did kind of smell like urine though. Also our site ran out of propane after the office closed. Otherwise great Mountain View spot.

The KOA in Seward is exceptional—clean, well-kept, and set against stunning mountain and the river nearby. Sites are spacious, amenities thoughtful, and the staff welcoming. Highlights include beautiful handmade guitars in the shop and an eagle’s nest high on a lone tree. A peaceful, unique place that blends comfort, nature, and Alaska’s charm perfect!

First time we tried a KOA patio but won’t be our last! Staff and owner were very helpful especially helping us pick just the right site for our needs. Scenery around camp amazing. Highly recommend to all. We will return.

We stayed 3 nights and had a great time! Our grandkids played on the clever playgrounds, rode bikes, did the scavenger hunt, and used the pedal tandem bike. Owners are wonderful and accommodating. We're able to easily visit Seward and the Exit Glacier from the campground.

Best kampground in all of Alaska! Our first and last camp out is always at Seward KOA.

We had a great stay. We needed to extend our stay and they were very easy to work with. Convenient location.

Showers and rest rooms were clean, the park was nice. Enjoyed the stay, except for for kennel with 20+ howling dogs that was right next to the campground. It wasn't too bad inside the camper, but if you were sitting outside, conversation was difficult.

Loved walking to the restaurant It was very good The staff was friendly and helpful

We truly enjoyed our stay. WE were out of town a ways and just down the road from Exit Glacier. We chose a spot with views which meant we were right against the road. Although noisy and busy during the day, the night was quiet. The staff was nice and very helpful. We had some packages that needed to be delivered and they were sent to someones house and they brought them in the next day. Thanks!

Great camp ground!!! Clean facilities and friendly staff!! Coffee bar was awesome!

Location was good for what we had planned. Our biggest issue was that we were parked right under eagle nest. We weren’t able to sit outside because the eagle made such a mess. Our first couple hours there I got a direct hit from the eagle and I wasn’t close to the nest. We feel that we should have been warned about the eagle nest so we could decide whether we would want to move or site.

Nice stay, go to the Turning Heads Kennels right next door for an awesome tour, and enjoy the howling Ititorad racing dogs - super cool experience!

Loved the "grass" at the sites. Kept rig a lot cleaner. Convenient to all activities.
Aug 23, 2025
It was a beautiful campground with great views, friendly hosts, and clean restrooms. The site was level and it was quiet. I enjoyed watching the young eagles, too.
Aug 23, 2025
The park was pretty nice but the dogs next door howling made it difficult to sleep. I also didn't care for the crushed black rock. It really stuck to shoes and made a mess in the camper.

It was a great stay. The facilities were clean. Staff was awesome and super accommodating. The location can't be beat.

This is a clean family friendly campground that never disappoints. It is always fun to watch the eagles and be close to the EXIT glacier. The owners are always helpful. We would highly recommend this campground!

Our GPS took us straight to this campground just before Seward on Glacier Road. Check-in was quick and easy, and we headed to Deluxe Patio FHU Site 14 with 50 AMP. From the Journey signage, it appeared this KOA had recently been upgraded to a Holiday. The campground was laid out nicely, with sites not squished together. The gravel pad was long enough for our 40' toy hauler, allowing us to drop the rear deck and still park our F450. Utilities were well-centered on the pad, and having two sewer hookups was especially convenient since we have two black tanks. Along with the usual deluxe patio amenities, we appreciated the astroturf lawn for our pups. Trees lined the side and back perimeters, but with none along the road side we had a clear Starlink shot. The campground also provided Starlink WiFi with download speeds around 22.8 Mbps. Water pressure was steady at 35–40 PSI. Verizon gave us 2 bars, while T-Mobile had none. Amenities included a tidy laundry with three front-load washers and three regular-sized dryers. A fun bonus was hearing sled dogs barking at Turning Heads Kennel next door, an Iditarod competitor offering kennel tours and sled dog rides both there and on the glacier. We also enjoyed watching eaglets in the nest right across from our site. The staff were very accommodating, even moving a grill for us and delivering a propane fill back to our site. Overall, this was a well-run campground with thoughtful upgrades and memorable surroundings.
