It was a beautiful campground with great views, friendly hosts, and clean restrooms. The site was level and it was quiet. I enjoyed watching the young eagles, too.

The park was pretty nice but the dogs next door howling made it difficult to sleep. I also didn't care for the crushed black rock. It really stuck to shoes and made a mess in the camper.

The Campground is well kept up it’s one of the cleanest koa we stayed at . The only down fall is the dogs sled next store with them howling and barking all the time nothing the campground can do about that . Big Eagle nest in front of property is a plus . Friendly owners as well.

Beautiful area to have the KOA at. Sites were very well maintained. We had the patio site and it was well equipped. We were even able to watch the eagles right at the site.

1st time staying with Seward KOA, and I have to say I was impressed. My family, including two littles, really loved the playground & boat structure. The restrooms are the cleanest & nicest (granet or marble slab showers) I have yet to see in an RV campground in the state. Friendly staff. Onsite propane fills. Its outside of the hustle and bustle of town, but still has great views of the mtns.

Great place to stay , just needs a lot more cloths washers and Dryers. 3&3 is just not enough

A very nice and well maintained campground - the best we stayed in during our two months in Alaska! Watching the resident eagles was icing on the cake!

The KOA is clean and the employees were great. Full hook ups sites are about half the park. The baby bald eagle nests are a plus. The only negative is the dog sledding place next door as the dogs howl at all times of the night-not really the campgrounds fault but be aware that this is there. And we were parked the closest to the dogs.

Nicest KOA CAMP IN ALASKA At the check in person help move me into a quiet site Never happened to me before they offered to watch my two dogs I personally will be staying with these people again on my next visit I will not have to worry with them

Great campgrounds & staff! Bathrooms & showers spotless!

Overall, the stay was good. RV sites very spacious. Dog kennel next door was loud at times. Shooting range (?) near by was noisy at times. Facilities were good and well maintained

Awesome. Just need to fix the septic and make it more glitch with the ground.

Had a great site and the staff were amazing! Thank you for a great time.

Unfortunately the deluxe sites are up by the road, much more privacy in the back if I were to come back, I would suggest a back spot back by the dog kennel. Speaking of dog kennels it is right beside several hundred dogs that get to barking once in a while.

Very accommodating. Clean, well maintained. Nice to have a washer and dryer. The eagle's nest and babies was a really cool addition.

Great place , very clean and well organized. However the barking sled dogs were annoying. At least 4 outbursts during the night aside from the evening and morning which I assume was feeding time .

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the great feedback about our clean and well-organized campground! As for the sled dogs next door — you had front-row seats to Alaska’s most energetic night crew. These are real Iditarod athletes, and their “sing-alongs” tend to happen at mealtime or when they’re swapping gossip

We arrived 1hour early the park was mostly empty we were told we would have to wait that 1 hour to get checked in or pay an additional $25.00 We primarily use KOA parks and have never been told to wait or pay an additional fee upon an early arrival. The parks are always very nice as this one was clean, nice, and the location was descent.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you found our park clean, nice, and in a great location. Our check-in policy — including the early arrival fee — is in place so our team has time to prepare each site and ensure it’s ready for guests at the standard check-in time. While some pa

Awesome place to get a camp spot. The place is well maintained and they are always upgrading. Because of my stays at the Seward KOA I will look for a KOA for all my travels.

Showers and toilets are well maintained. Enjoyed watching the eagles feeding their eaglets. I paid for a patio slot and it was clean and had new furniture.

Dog barking next door was irritating
Aug 05, 2025
To much dog barking from the kennel next door. Getting woke up a couple times a night is not good. If not for that it would be rated 10/5

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We hear you—those sled dogs are definitely passionate about their nighttime “conversations.” They’re true Alaskan athletes, and sometimes that means a few late-night howls and barks. If it’s peace and quiet you crave, our front desk team can point you toward the quieter sites on your next

It was a wonderful campground with clean laundry, a spectacular view and the added bonus of E-bikes for rent. Close to Seward and the Exit Glacier. The staff was very helpful and I would visit again.

The Seward KOA has beautiful views. I was surprised by the size of the camping spots. They were very spacious. It was quiet and the bathrooms and laundry room were very clean.

Generators were running late into the night. People were washing big rigs. Some campers went up to get propane. The young ladies at counter didn't know how to do it. Dogs running off a leash. Went after another dog. I went fir walks and was chatting with some visitors. That's when I heard about the propane issue etc.. Have stayed here many times hut this time was not good.

The staff at Seward are amazing!!!! Absolutely would stay with them again if we ever make it back to Seward.. Location is great and the site we had was spacious, #11, we have a 34’ fifth wheel. Facilities were great, nice place to walk around.

The sites were clean, this isn't the CG's fault but our site was right by the laundry/bath rooms which drove our dogs crazy. The sled dog kennel next door drove our dogs crazy and there wasn't a lot of grass for our dogs to do their business. If we didn't have dogs it would have been grrreat. We loved watching the pair of eagles and eaglets in the nest. That truly was amazing.

Love this KOA. The nesting eagles and their eaglets are so fun to watch. Conveniently located close to town, very well managed and kept park.

Likes-the view from our campsite, eagle nest with baby and parents on site, clean facilities, close to the cute town of Seward, close to Kenani Forge National Park, amazing hiking to the Exit Glacier and the staff was so friendly.

We had a great time watching the eagles nest and playing mini-golf. Also great location for visiting the Exit Glacier National Park. We would definitely come again.

Not again. Why would u put a campground right beside a sled dog kennels?a chainlink fence separates the lots-no noise barriers. All day barking n all nite howling, there are at least 20 or more dogs that live outside.People go camping to relax, no stress n noise-this was opposite.some left after one nite. Also needs a new playground-its a old Costco climber for 3/4year olds, needs new/nicer/bigger one

Campsite was beautiful and well kept. The gals in the office were super nice and helpful! Overall an amazing place to stay!

The campsite was great, the bathrooms and laundry were always clean and the staff were amazing. If you camping in Seward, it needs to be at this KOA!!

We stayed there several times over the last month. Overall, the place is well-run and clean. Their WiFi, however, is the worst. It's important, as Verizon has barely 1 bar there. Often, their access point just disappears off the available list, and we stayed for 2 nights within 20 feet of the WiFi repeater. The bathrooms are clean, but 3 times there was no paper towels.

Our GPS took us straight to this campground just before Seward on Glacier Road. Check-in was quick and easy, and we headed to Deluxe Patio FHU Site 14 with 50 AMP. From the Journey signage, it appeared this KOA had recently been upgraded to a Holiday. The campground was laid out nicely, with sites not squished together. The gravel pad was long enough for our 40' toy hauler, allowing us to drop the rear deck and still park our F450. Utilities were well-centered on the pad, and having two sewer hookups was especially convenient since we have two black tanks. Along with the usual deluxe patio amenities, we appreciated the astroturf lawn for our pups. Trees lined the side and back perimeters, but with none along the road side we had a clear Starlink shot. The campground also provided Starlink WiFi with download speeds around 22.8 Mbps. Water pressure was steady at 35–40 PSI. Verizon gave us 2 bars, while T-Mobile had none. Amenities included a tidy laundry with three front-load washers and three regular-sized dryers. A fun bonus was hearing sled dogs barking at Turning Heads Kennel next door, an Iditarod competitor offering kennel tours and sled dog rides both there and on the glacier. We also enjoyed watching eaglets in the nest right across from our site. The staff were very accommodating, even moving a grill for us and delivering a propane fill back to our site. Overall, this was a well-run campground with thoughtful upgrades and memorable surroundings.
