Campground Reviews

The deluxe cabins were conveniently located for our activities, clean and newer than we expected. We had an additional person in our party that I had neglected to inform you about. The bedding for him was cheerfully & promptly provided. We loved the spectacular scenery at your campground, "Cons"- top bunks had very low clearance to the ceiling, hard to turn over; needed another kitchen towel

Staff was friendly and helpful. It was the 4th of July weekend and the place ran out of propane - no hot water for showers or laundry. We're traveling Alaska and counted on the laundry and showers to be in working order to get us prepped for our next boondocking journey. We're generally easy going about these things, but you pay a premium at a KOA, and they let us down big time.

Fabulous !

We've stayed at dozens of KOA's as a family visiting the national parks, and this is by far our favorite. Our kids loved the playground and we all enjoyed watching the eagles in the entrance tree return with fish. That eagle became the mascot of our trip!

While there are many things about this park we loved the fact that there is a dog sledding kennel next door is just unreal. Not sure how many dogs are kept there (one person told us it was aboout 160) but the sound of their barking is unbelievable and hard to ignore. We would not stay here again.

It was around $67/ night for dry camp site which it turns out you can't even park the car by the tent site but have to lug everything over the the separate tent site. I should be just boondocked. Bathrooms however were clean. Bald eagle nest on tree on middle of campground was cool but can be noisy. Sled dogs kennel is next door and the energetic dogs like to howl.

Incredible campground, the grounds and bathrooms, laundry and office were very clean and well maintained. There is a sled dog kennel next door but we had no issues with hearing the dogs…and they have a bald eagles nest on site. The views are amazing. Highly recommended.

The spaces are huge and inviting. Everything is fresh and new. Loved the bathrooms too as they were very roomy and giant showers. Complaints: I used a scan app they had posted stating that there was no soap in the bathroom dispensers. Never got an answer. it took 2 days to fill them. The dumpsters were overflowing until 7/4 when trash was picked up. No late night quiet time. Campground not watch

Nice people, our space was ready and clean, the view of the mountain and river across the street was gorgeous! The showers were hot and bathroom area was tidy. We were there for the Mt. Marathon races on the 4th of July, and it was very busy. The dog team next door barked for their morning breakfast, but it was short lived and quiet for the rest of our 3 day, 2 night trip:)

Bathrooms were spectacular! We were pleasantly surprised! Loved the eagles nest!! Clean and spacious!

Very nice staff. Nice sites. Wish the Stacy’s would move

Very cramped feeling. Loud neighbors. Iffy WiFi. No cell phone reception. Great bathrooms

We made our 4-night reservations on 1/6/25, for the end of June. We were unable to reserve a specific site. Upon arrival, we were assigned what appeared to be the worst site on the property. We were located next to the highway, at the end of the road with no grass (or artificial turf, unlike others), and all traffic had to turn the corner at our site. We had several folks cut through our site.

Best 2 days ever. Our children loved it. Very quiet and we get to do treasure hunting with our kids and other activities. Planning our 2nd trip already. Thank you!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They were willing to make some last minute changes to my reservation. I was able to book a boat tour thru them, not only were able to print the ticket, but they also arranged for a shuttle to pick up and take me to the dock. As an added bonus, something that they can not promise, I able to see a mother moose with twin calves and 2 nesting eagles

The staff is/are extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. They went as far as booking my boat tour for me including a shuttle ride to the dock All I needed to do was show up on time and scan my ticket. They also have wildlife, I got to see a moose and her twin calves and a pair of nesting eagles.

Nice clean campground, easy access and sites are big. Really enjoyed our stay. Even got to watch the eagles nesting in a tree on the campground. Can not beat the view.

Everything was great. Our only disappointment was that we weren’t able to have 2 spots next to each other so we could be closer to our grandkids

This KOA is absolutely fantastic. The staff are super friendly and the facilities are top notch. The only thing we didn’t like about this location is that it’s right next to a sled dog kennel so there was almost constant barking/howling. No fault of the KOA, but definitely something to consider if you want a quiet place to stay.

KOA was great. My dog loved the k9 park and there were plenty of places to take her walking. My young son loved the playground and spent nearly every waking moment there. My only wish is that there were more things for teens to do- my girls were bored the whole time. Perhaps some more modern games and video games in the game room would help.

I will recommend my friends to call camping Seward

We were pleasantly surprised at how amazing the KOA campground in Seward was. We thought we would miss being on the waterfront but we absolutely loved staying here and look forward to our next stay here.

Wonderful stay in Seward! Gorgeous views, excellent amenities. Will will be back!

Great campground. Great staff. Very clean and organized. Sites are wonderful. Ours had a turf area that was great. The only downside is wifi/internet. There is no cell signal at the campground, which is not their fault. However, the wifi, at least on site 19, was terrible, at best. The 2g cut out all the time and I never picked up the 5g. Would stay again, anyway.

Great amenities, we didn’t stay as long as we would have liked due to availability. Would love to stay again.

Everything was great! Additional showers for peak times would have been nice to avoid long waits, but otherwise amazing. Great coffee, great facilities, very convenient check in and out.

Very nice campground - just the right distance to things we wanted to see and do.

Nice site! Beautiful views
Jun 20, 2025
The campsite was well laid out and the washrooms were clean and warm with very nice showers. The main frustration was the lack of reliable WiFi which was advertised as available, but in practice was non-existent. It would also have been good to have a source of potable water for those without a filter.

Very nice and clean

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and level sites with various options of site amenities

Views were awesome. Staff and site were great. Eagles nesting in campground was amazing. WiFi and cell service was abysmal but be so close to Seward.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Keeping our family dog with us is very important and we were thankful for the dog run. We also enjoyed the friendly staff and the clean bathroom/showers.

Easy access to amenities, close to town. We were thankful for the place to stay. The only issue we had was that the tent platforms at the front of the campground are right on the road and the wind from the valley whips through hitting the tents head on.

Friendly staff. Clean campground and cabins! Beautiful mountain and forest views. Close to Exit Glacier! My husband loves the ice creams for sale at the store! Great gifts in the gift shop! The grandchildren loved the playground and mini-golf! We had 2 cabins and 1 RV! We all had a great time! Thank you!!!!

The campground was super clean. The members were very friendly and helpful. The owner was helpful in answering where they recommend to eat a great meal. Will go there again when I visit Seward.

The property is very well kept up, friendly staff and overall beautiful. The only issue were the dog team next door. Morning barking and howling at night (not sure if it was during tour time or not but.....). If that doesn't bother you, then you'll be just fine. Other than that, I love the location and isolation from the rat race by the Seward beach front camp area.

It was a great stay. The facilities were clean. Staff was awesome and super accommodating. The location can't be beat.

This is a clean family friendly campground that never disappoints. It is always fun to watch the eagles and be close to the EXIT glacier. The owners are always helpful. We would highly recommend this campground!

Our GPS took us straight to this campground just before Seward on Glacier Road. Check-in was quick and easy, and we headed to Deluxe Patio FHU Site 14 with 50 AMP. From the Journey signage, it appeared this KOA had recently been upgraded to a Holiday. The campground was laid out nicely, with sites not squished together. The gravel pad was long enough for our 40' toy hauler, allowing us to drop the rear deck and still park our F450. Utilities were well-centered on the pad, and having two sewer hookups was especially convenient since we have two black tanks. Along with the usual deluxe patio amenities, we appreciated the astroturf lawn for our pups. Trees lined the side and back perimeters, but with none along the road side we had a clear Starlink shot. The campground also provided Starlink WiFi with download speeds around 22.8 Mbps. Water pressure was steady at 35–40 PSI. Verizon gave us 2 bars, while T-Mobile had none. Amenities included a tidy laundry with three front-load washers and three regular-sized dryers. A fun bonus was hearing sled dogs barking at Turning Heads Kennel next door, an Iditarod competitor offering kennel tours and sled dog rides both there and on the glacier. We also enjoyed watching eaglets in the nest right across from our site. The staff were very accommodating, even moving a grill for us and delivering a propane fill back to our site. Overall, this was a well-run campground with thoughtful upgrades and memorable surroundings.
