We have visited several KOA locations, and this San Diego Park is by far my favorite! The staff is very helpful and friendly, the restrooms are always clean, and the grounds are very well kept. The many activities held daily keep the kids busy and entertained. The park has a Cafe on site that offers great food. We always look forward to our trips to San Diego KOA!

Fantastic experience! So many amenities and clean facilities! Our campsite was perfect and the food at the cafe was delicious! Almost wished we had small children to play with all the rental equipment!

Such a nice, well kept, fun place! We loved how much there is for kids to do and we will definitely be back! Deluxe patios are definitely worth it :)

We stayed there several years ago and the KOA was looking very tired and updated. When we pulled in we were delighted to see all the improvements. It is a top notch resort now and we will definitely be back on our next visit to San Diego. The only thing it is missing is a dog pen site option that many of the other KOAs have installed.

Very nice camp sites. Love the big trees. A little bit crowded and noisy. But would come again and try a different area.

Everything was very clean and the staff very nice. Only the showers are a bit small for us (shower head very deep, we are 1.90m tall). The children had a lot of fun.

Overall good stay - suggestions: change the gate code more frequently so crazy people aren't racing through the camp ground crashing into stuff and enforce quite hours

This is an excellent KOA. Only down side is how busy it is.

Grounds are very clean, less bird poop. Looks like the implemented a sound system that plays bird sounds to scare off crows but isn’t working and just adds to the early morning noise. Fun stuff for the kids to do though.

Beautiful campsite and very nice staff. Unfortunately you have a MAJOR PROBLEM. The people who stay at this campground are RUDE, obnoxious drunken idiots with BOOM boxes barely their terrible taste in noise from dawn to 10 pm. You need to have a no boom box rule and enforce rules against their lack of behavior

Perfect place to stay. close to all the sites you would want to see in San Diego. Very clean and well maintained. Hosts were cordial and very helpful.

Very nice park, great amenities. Surrounding area felt a little sketchy but you can't control that. 5 gunshots at 1:30 AM also disturbing, but weren't in the campground. The only thing I might suggest is to post instructions that the knob in the showers points up for hot. I had a barely warm shower one night before figuring that out the next day.

By far the best KOA we’ve stayed at and we have stayed at over 50 different KOA’s across the US. Staff is always friendly and always stop by when walking around o see how things are going. Campground is always clean, grass kept short, plenty of things inside the KOA to do and it is located not too far from Downtown and Balboa Park/Zoo. Tons of local small business restaurants close by as well.

Was not happy with the ten dollar a day for visitors not using facilities. Could almost understand on weekend but through the week a daily charge to have my grandson meet me at campsite to go elsewhere.

Love the campgrounds! Love the bounce pad! Concerned about the cleanliness of the pool/hot tubs! Especially at the walk in shallow area. Missing the train. Wish there was hot water in the bathrooms.

San Diego KOA was the perfect place for our family camping/birthday trip! Amenities are amazing, cleanliness is top notch, and the smiles on our kids faces sealed the deal! Our group stayed in a camper, cabin, deluxe cabin, and tent camped, and everyone in the party agreed that we will be back! Thank you for making my birthday weekend so special!

All the staff were very friendly. There were allot of activities for children to participate in. The pulled pork at the cafe was fantastic! My children had a wonderful time. The park was very presentable and tidy. Will definitely come back.

This is a clean and delightful place to stay in the San Diego area. The traffic is so bad in San Diego that this is a peaceful place to relax. Perfect during week for quiet seniors and perfect for lots of kids on the weekend. Well kept, nice showers & laundry. Marginal WiFi.

We stayed two nights. There is so much to see and do at this KOA. Very family friendly. The staff were nice and helpful. There is a restaurant onsite in case you don't feel like cooking. The fish n chips were good. Great place to walk your pups. We had no problems and were happy with our stay.

Great time. We didn't use or take advantage of all of the ammenities and activities, but what we did use was amazing! My only complaint, and it's very small, was that I was confused when we arrived for check-in. It had a stop sign, but didn't give great instructions on where to park during check-in. I didn't know if i should park in the street and block traffic, or to find a waiting area, etc.

We have a 30-foot trailer, the spot we were in was way too small. It was next to a corner, and there was a spot on the corner and right around the corner, both backed into our space, barely had room for our picnic table, and open our awning. The Wi-Fi was terrible, could barely download email. The other campers were very rude, walking through campsites.

I'm on my 2nd month here and love it! Staff is amazing. Place is safe! Food is mouthwatering. A++!! Literally zero complaints! And a few reviews down saw someone complain about the highway…. Please! You crazy. You can literally hear nothing! Zero! Zilch! This place is a 10 out of 10! Wish I could stay longer.

I always fill up our gas tanks here. They have great prices and friendly staff. Never actually stayed at their beautiful establishment but I plan to in the future.
