This stay was difficult at times, too many ebikes and the speed was too fast. The fact that there are no rules (besides the speed, which is never followed) there should be a rule for no riding after 8 pm. I almost got ran over just walking to the trash bends (site 1903 was mine). And let's talk about the age of the kids riding such ebikes and scooters....I saw kids ages 5 and under.

Check-in was great. Fast and easy. That's where it ended. This was our first time here and the site we were given was very tight to get in and out of, dog droppings in the grass, bird droppings covered the power pole where we connect our shore power and the sewer drain cover, Minimal enforcement of the posted rules throughout the campground. Kids riding non pedal assist ebikes very fast throughout

Good: price, camp space of tent camp area, private showers, kid's activity sites, kid's interactive activities, friendly staff, pool. Bad: High foot traffic of maintenance staff/vehicles/work, high priced items in gift shop (foods, drinks, gifts, etc.), food selection, quality (taste), price at diner, no assistance with getting the specific/requested tent site, many loud helicopters.

Crows were very loud starting at 5 am. Pooped all over my car. People up late and not following quiet hours.

Everything was perfect and the kids had a great time. There was always something to do. The fire pit was the highlight of the trip. Cabin was clean and comfortable. The only complaints we have was the sewage smell coming from the bathroom and the fleas, My dog was infested by them!

Everything was good except for a couple things: 1. The mosquitos were intolerable. I’ve never seen so many mosquitos in one area. This definitely needs to be dealt with. 2. The palapas over the pool entrances are in major need for replacement. They are well past its life. 3. The chaise lounge chairs around the pool were filthy and worn out. You don’t even want to sit on them.

Vegas for Families! Great stay! Very entertaining KOA! 5 year old daughter met a ton of friends! Guests were really nice and welcoming! This KOA thought of everything: playground by the showers/bathrooms; kids camp/restaurant/store by the pool; rental specialty go carts; jumping pillows, etc! Loved it!

Our Family had an absolute blast. The scheduling for all the kid activities was amazing. The pool was fabulous. We love the beach entrance, the grand size of it. The DJ every weekend it was all great. The spaces are large and fit our 44' rig with no problem. The staff was always helpful and kind. Highly recommended

Great property with easy access to the area. My one complaint is the number of campers whose tents, cars, etc. spilled over onto the roadways within the park. Park management would be well advised to be a little more diligent in this area. Overall, a decent RV park. Front desk staff deserve a special mention for helpfulness!

It was great. The facilities were very clean and the eco tents were very well taken care of. Only room for improvement is the amplified sound curfew. I wish it was 9pm instead of 10. Me and the kids had trouble falling asleep with people playing music until 10. Also please spray the property for mosquitoes: all of us were eaten alive!

We have stayed here annually for the past few years. This might be our last time. This place needs way more enforcement of rules and a larger security/staff presence. We come to the KOA for a family atmosphere. Every time we were in the pool, there were at least 10 drunk adults with open bottles/cans of alcohol in the pool. The kids on e-bikes were racing in the campground at all hours of thenight

The stay was good. Al very helpful with handling an aggressive dog who attacked our dog. And owner who pushed my husband. We didn't want to press charges because the dog was not on leash. We will accept a free 3 day stay because of upsetting incident. Then next night EMTs were called on what looked like a mental illness incident. 3 vehicles and numerous EMTs were there to handle screaming.

So many kids screaming in the pools and riding bikes or scooters or running around the camp ground without supervision. I didn’t see security or anything to watch them. The restrooms were gross and not clean. Other KOAs have AC in the bathroom so it’s not a sauna when you get out but this one was just nasty with hair everywhere and hot.

From start to the finish of our trip a week stay as local San Diegans in a moving transition, the resort was relaxing , peaceful , family friendly and a very happy place to stay long term or for the weekend . All of the staff is so friendly , respectful and welcoming. The front desk was professional upon check in & gift shop clerks, so kind. The cafe delicious and quick service. Security Great!

Overall, everything was was awesome. Deluxe cabin could've used a better wipe down to surface areas. Inside floor was full of dog hair, noticeable upon sweeping, outside porch sofa covered in dog hair. Had to cover seat & back rest w towels. Everything else was a hit. Scheduled kids activities. Cafe, good food. Poolside DJ, great music, great vibe. Should stay longer.

Great stay. Al and Regina were the best. All of the staff who worked the sport events and events were great. Kind and helpful. Stayed in 2 cabins and it was great.

We had never stayed at a KOA before. We loved it! Everything about it was fantastic! The jumping pillow, the pool, the playgrounds, the shade at our spot. It was easy to go to SeaWorld and the beach. We had adventures within the adventure! My brain has already started to plan a family reunion in the future. Easy for the locals with campers and the out of towners with lodging. Camping here again!

The first site we were in the breaker box was broken and the cap on the drain would not come off both requiring maintenance to come and repair. The next morning our motorhome was completely coovered with bird droppings, so bad it took an hour to clean the windshield just to FINALLY be moved to another site. The second site was inundated with worms dropping from the trees. Disgusting stay

It was great but there were a lot of bugs and crows. Bird poop on everything. Maybe invest in pest control? We had cockroaches on our site. It would be fun if you would do special BBQ/live music on special nights. Guest would enjoy and show up.

We had an amazing 4-day stay! We arrived late after a long drive and were warmly welcomed. The campground is clean, organized, family-friendly and felt very safe for the kids to explore and enjoy all the activities. Everything we needed was right there, the price was very fair, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will absolutely be back!

Overall great as usual. This was the first time staying by the back bathrooms and showers. They need a solid cleaning. The smell was a bit much. I expected better given the nightly rates paid and the high level everything else is kept to. It didn’t meet the expectations we have come to have for SD KOA. The camp store was great. We thought it was priced fairly, and the items were quality item

We have been coming for more than 10 years. We started with just a few grand babies and now we have 13. There is something for everyone. Having tents sites, cabins and RV sites is important to us. That way what ever their budget is, Metro KOA has it. Thanks for the wonderful time.

There were a lot of birds… and we got a ton of bird poop all over our camper and cars. Same do the trees, lots of debris. Lots of bugs as well. Otherwise it was a great stay

The staff is very friendly and helpful! Al, the assistant manager, is especially amazing in making sure that all guestS are having a good time and helpful in any area that is needed. I especially appreciate that I can text a staff member with a question and even book my next visit there through texting. We love San Diego KOA.!!!!

Mostly everything was great. Just one cleaning crew member was a little rude when we were checking out of the cabin. She could be nicer when asking for the keys and asking us to move the car.

This is an extraordinary place. There are hundreds of spots available to park your RV and vehicle and plug in for electricity and water as well as facilities for cleaning and maintaining your RV. Your choice of a small cabin, deluxe cabin, or deluxe cabin by the pool. They even have spots available where you can just pull in and pitch a tent. I really enjoyed the option to cook with the regular grill, gas grill, or the electric stoves that are available. Sinks with hot water for washing dishes. There is a laundry room is definitely a plus. The gift shop has just about everything and if you need something off-site then that's not a problem. Many stores within a 2-mile radius. Lots of activities available for adults and kids. Very pet friendly. The cabins are cozy and come with a plug-in, ceiling fan with a light, and comfortable bunk beds. I don't call it camping. I call it "glamping!" The restroom and shower facilities are top-notch and I do mean top-notch. There is plenty of space. The staff do an amazing job keeping this place clean and beautiful. I'll definitely be back I heard that it's good to book way ahead if you can. Even up to a year in advance.
