I have stayed at your campground multiple times. we had 3 campsites. I want to tell you that I am disappointed in some things there. First, we rented a cabana for my daughters birthday party. Dirty, leaves, everywhere,freezer had a huge pile of melted ice cream. Why would you leave that. I asked for cleaning no blowing done. Also homeless people came in and showered. i informed, no one cared

We love the San Diego Metro KOA. The ground are clean and the paths are easy to navigate. There are lots of built-in activities for kids. Bathrooms need a little more love, but it's a bathroom at a campground so...

Cable TV worked intermittently, with channels not broadcast as listed on your brochure, channel transmission issues with Direct TV and in general poor signal resulting in poor picture quality and breakup. WiFi was marginal even though we were near a booster. Even using the cable booster o my RV signal strength was poor resulting is slow upload/downing of emails and Cloud backups. Bathrooms -poo

It was a great place, a little far from everything via a bike ride but very nice. The mosquito were incredibly unfortunate, make it impossible to hang out outdoors!

I have been coming for many years but this year I felt like the activities were not as good as previous years for the kiddos and the roaches and mosquitos were insane. We spent most of our time inside because the amount of critters outside.

The birds of paradise is a waste of time it is so annoying to all of the guests the little speaker on top of the building the swimming pool was filthy there's sand all in the bottom of it and all of the paint is peeling on the deck there's bird poop all over the chairs

Everything was great except mosquitos. Would be beneficial if you guys could spray for insects as they really kept us from staying outdoors.

We would rate the best except mosquitos were out by of control. You need to spray we could not walk around it was so bad. We ope our door and they rushed in.

Everything went well, very polite and helpful staff, nice clean cabin, sparkling pool. The only downside was that the cafe closed at 1 pm and the check in is at 4 pm. We were counting on getting food there. Not the end of the world and the place was empty, but since I am asked about my opinion I am sharing mine. Everything else was perfect, will stay again.

I typically love this place and stay every Labor Day. However between my kids and I we walked away with over 200 mosquito bites combined and that is just us. Not counting the other 15 people we went with who were also completely covered. It made for a miserable weekend and now a miserable recovery. No bug spray or candles or electronic deterrents helped at all.

We visit frequently and recommend this campsite to others but this last trip was really bad from the mosquitoes, we couldn't hang out outside without getting 30 plus bites at the campsite, sitting by the cafe, or participating in the events so it made us contemplate why we paid all this money to hide inside and if we wanted to rebook for next year.

We had a tent site with electricity. We have been coming for many years durring Labor Day. Bobbi the camp host was great. She was hands on for all the events and was very popular with all the guest. The on site store always saves us because we always forget something and the food at Sand Castle Cafe was very good.

Mosquitoes were horrible! Picnic benches at campsites and common areas are very tipsy, I had an accident at this campground 2 years ago and broke my wrist when the bench tipped back on me. The benches are still very unstable.

We love it here! Our kids about let us go anywhere else cause Bobby is sooooo great with the kids. There are so many activities to keep the kids busy all weekend. We can't wait to go back!

Great KOA stay! Our tent site was clean and close to all the amenities. The kids loved the playgrounds, pool, backyard area, kickball, Gaga Ball, and tie-dye. The camp store had everything we needed, including sunscreen and bug spray. Fries and snow cones were delicious! Only downside was the pool—it was much colder than expected for a heated pool. We’d definitely return!

Not long enough! I’m a first-timer & planning to be a serial registrar! Loved my unit, felt secure. Mr. Al is a gem. People KNOW when they are truly welcome. The activities planned & executed for my grandsons were epic! My unit was luxurious, and now I don’t want to share. Overall great time - good from from Sand Castle - but outside experience was terrible with all the mosquitoes! We have been coming for over 20 years and do not remember having so many bites! Hopefully something can be done.

We are frequent visitors and come multiple times a year, but this stay was disappointing. Our neighbors had too many people/cars, with tents on the grass nearly touching our camper. Motorized bikes and scooters were everywhere and driven too fast, making it unsafe. We also had to follow up 3 times for our fire pit/wood, and the worker was rude when we asked about it.

The recreation activities and staff are always great, and front office staff are wonderful too. Landscaping is beautiful and well maintained. The thing that must get fixed is the sewer smells throughout the campground. My wife didn’t even want to be outside with a fire at night due to the smell. Of course we will be back like we have for 40 years but please work on the smell!

The mosquitos were absolutely horrible. You couldn’t even sit outside to enjoy the day or night. We had 6 trailers with our group and not one person from the group was comfortable. Everyone was all bitten up. My husband had easily over 50 bites on one leg! Absolutely horrible. Our group will not be returning!

Good weekday bargain rate during my August 2026 month long stay, cheapest on the coast. Sparse occupancy on weekdays, very busy on Friday and Saturday nights when desert and south-of-the-wire tweakers come to party, cool down, and get obnoxious. Excellent contender for "Noisiest KOA" award. Sites have close neighbors in yo' face.

I just wish there was 1 soft seat area for inside sitting.My legs and butt dont like hanging from the kitchen stools! But everything was so clean which is a biggie on my list! Thank you!

Have enjoyed my visits there since the mid 1980s. Never disappointed. Well groomed, knowledgeable and very pleasant staff. The park is always well maintained. Definitely see you next year…

I just would like to say that me and my family were in charge of hosting a family reunion of 200 people. We were completely satisfied with your cabins with your staff with everything this campsite provided . It was beyond and above what we all expected we just want to say we are so grateful especially for Bianca in which she worked with us throughout this long process. Thank you

my stay was nice even though when I made the reservation, I was told that the space was spacious and it wasn't hardly any space to put a table being that our RV was 27 long and with slide outs and it was a tiny space and the space had a sprinkler so our stuff got soaked and it wasn't on the grass was very disappointed with my site

Even as a local Chula resident, this place makes you feel like you're in a totally different community. My wife and I love this place, our dogs love it, our family and friends love it. As long as we have a trailer we will be continue to come here 6-10x a year, including next weekend. See you soon Fam!

electric stove, right side would turn on and then shut off on own. I used my own linen for bed but on Saturday/Sunday woke up with rashes on arms, shoulders legs and inner thighs. A complete stranger entered my cabin, he probably saw SUV leave and thought no one was inside -he was scoping. Ordered firewood and it never arrived even after paying for it. Neighbors partied loudly past 2am.

This is an extraordinary place. There are hundreds of spots available to park your RV and vehicle and plug in for electricity and water as well as facilities for cleaning and maintaining your RV. Your choice of a small cabin, deluxe cabin, or deluxe cabin by the pool. They even have spots available where you can just pull in and pitch a tent. I really enjoyed the option to cook with the regular grill, gas grill, or the electric stoves that are available. Sinks with hot water for washing dishes. There is a laundry room is definitely a plus. The gift shop has just about everything and if you need something off-site then that's not a problem. Many stores within a 2-mile radius. Lots of activities available for adults and kids. Very pet friendly. The cabins are cozy and come with a plug-in, ceiling fan with a light, and comfortable bunk beds. I don't call it camping. I call it "glamping!" The restroom and shower facilities are top-notch and I do mean top-notch. There is plenty of space. The staff do an amazing job keeping this place clean and beautiful. I'll definitely be back I heard that it's good to book way ahead if you can. Even up to a year in advance.
