My family and I have been coming here for over 20+years during memorial weekend. The staff is kind and professional. Always willing to help.This year what stood out was the E-Bikes. Kids are driving at full speed thru the campground. My fiance and I were walking back to our cabin when a kid on a EBike almost ran into us. Good thing we were paying attention. It could've resulted with injury.

Our experience was absolutely unforgettable! The activities were amazing, especially the bike parade for the kids. The decorations provided to personalize their bikes were such a thoughtful touch and made the event even more exciting and memorable for the children.

We miss the rock wall. This year we were not given a sheet that had the events throughout the day for the kids. Still a nice KOA. Wish the staff would enforce kids wearing helmets. A kid was hit on Monday by a truck and was not wearing a helmet. But at least it was a lesson for my kids.

This year at cabins, was a big religious chanting with big speakers Saturday & Sunday from 5pm - 10 pm , it was just too much for small kids and special needs children, and all the other cabin renters there. So sad that camp aloud that ( office should have informed other cabin renters about this religious ceremonies that would be going on.) so disappointed this year with that.

We loved experiencing our stay in an ECO tent this time around. It was beautifully put together and well thought out, we loved all the amenities inside and out. We love the location of them on campus and would definitely stay in an Eco tent again. Being there during Memorial Day weekend was a lot of fun! Everything and everyone was wonderful, which is why KOA San Diego is our favorite vacation!

Great experience, especially if you're a first timer or trying camping with first time kids. Its not completely in the wilderness nor is it completely in the city. it's a good in between. Staff were friendly. there was always something to do event-wise and plenty of parks and things for the kids to do.

Beautiful, very well maintained campground that is close to many popular San Diego attractions. The camp store has everything you need and more. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly with nice K9 yard. I would only note the noise level from helicopter flight path right above over the campground that was very active during our stay and groundskeepers do start early, but we would definitely stay again

Our room was clean and we were able to get a cabin next to my Dtr which was a plus. There was a family that was praying music intensely loud and you kindly spoke to them and they turned down the music so it was not uncomfortable for everyone. The jacuzzi was nice and hot and as always the staff were pleasant. This made our Mothers Day weekend a success!!

We stayed at the San Diego Metro KOA May 11th thru May 18th and the facility was great. We opted for a patio space for our RV and It was wonderful. Lots of space, a gas fired grill, table with chairs and an shade umbrella. There was also a stone fire pit with longue chairs. Thanks again for a great stay

We had a great stay. We loved our large roomy site and grassy area. We also loved the fire pit for a camp fire. My only complaint is that the adult only hot tub was not available and the other hot tub had way too many people and children in diapers. Hopefully the hot tub will be available soon.

Minors riding electric powered bikes were allowed to ride recklessly and over the speedlimit nearly running into pedestrians. A group of minors were racing in between the RVs through the campsites, flashing lights and were very loud from 9pm to 10pm. There didn't appear to have any adult supervision. It appeared that several of the bikes and electric bike did not have lights Dangerous & Disturbing

The birds destroy the top of our motorhome, and also the kids were running rampant through our campsites.They were unsupervised. If there was no birds, the campsite would be absolutely phenomenal.The spaces are nice for us to park in, but this last week was not a real pleasant week for us

I feel that while Sunday was a day most people left, the cafe should have stayed open a bit later due to the fact that it was Mother’s Day and there were still a good number of guests there. The stay was great though

Great stay, grounds are kept very clean. So many amenities and activities. Very family oriented. Pool area was nice and the adjacent restrooms and showers were super clean. All employees were encountered were very helpful and very friendly.

All the walking paths by the river channel were locked and boarder/custom agents left all the campers alone, just watch the river channel which runs into Mexico. Absolutely, no ICE there, so its protected and no hassle for the campers. The provide gate code for after hours access work get and the food good to great in the area.

This KOA is beautiful. Each site feels cozy and special. The workers are super helpful, the pool is amazing. We’ve been coming to this campground for 25 years and watched it grow. The site is close to shopping, the beach and a bunch of other must sees while visiting San Diego.

KOA is an amazing place for families. They are so centered around kids and family. There are always fun things to do and we go back every year. The STAFF is the absolute best, they are so fun and accommodating. The DJ at the pool was awesome. They cater to both adults and kids.

Great stay. Helpful staff. The only complaint I have is that the handicap shower needs more water pressure. Other than that we had a great time.

I didn't really know what to expect as I'd never stayed at a KOA before but it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was so friendly, was able to answer any questions I had, and they were everywhere! You could always find someone! The facilities were clean, there was a ton to do, and my kids loved it.

We had a fantastic stay! The site was beautiful, well-maintained, and the staff was incredibly helpful. Everything was perfect, except for the noise control after 10 PM. It would be great if quiet hours were more strictly enforced so everyone can enjoy the peace of the outdoors.

This is an extraordinary place. There are hundreds of spots available to park your RV and vehicle and plug in for electricity and water as well as facilities for cleaning and maintaining your RV. Your choice of a small cabin, deluxe cabin, or deluxe cabin by the pool. They even have spots available where you can just pull in and pitch a tent. I really enjoyed the option to cook with the regular grill, gas grill, or the electric stoves that are available. Sinks with hot water for washing dishes. There is a laundry room is definitely a plus. The gift shop has just about everything and if you need something off-site then that's not a problem. Many stores within a 2-mile radius. Lots of activities available for adults and kids. Very pet friendly. The cabins are cozy and come with a plug-in, ceiling fan with a light, and comfortable bunk beds. I don't call it camping. I call it "glamping!" The restroom and shower facilities are top-notch and I do mean top-notch. There is plenty of space. The staff do an amazing job keeping this place clean and beautiful. I'll definitely be back I heard that it's good to book way ahead if you can. Even up to a year in advance.
