We had a beautiful spot in the back corner. Restrooms were well maintained and the scenery was beautiful .

The slide, and weekend events were not happening. We understand it is a summer thing and we are outside of that window, however, the other KOAs we've attended to before the summer events have always made an effort to do fun activities for the kids. Slide was closed, go karts weren't an option, no afternoon or evening activities. We called prior to ensure the pizza would be an option- and it wasn't

Great location and campsites. Women’s restrooms did not smell clean (strong smell of urine and sewage). Two toilets were leaking water from the seals at the ground with every flush.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The only recommendation I have is to renumber some of the sites. We had a slight issue because we thought we were in the right spot, but we weren't, haha. It all worked out, though :)

Staff was friendly and helpful and there seemed to be upgrades to most of the campsites, however, the overall appearance of the property seemed tired and in need of maintenance, ie, playground, pool, slide. We probably wouldn't stay here again.

Great location, very friendly staff. solid amenities. Love the slide (as dangerous as it is), the volleyball court, and the mini golf. The pool is COLD, even in the middle of summer. Maybe consider a solar cover for it? Bathrooms are clean, but men's at least could use some maintenance (2/4 shower controls don't work correctly, 2/3 soap dispensers don't work, etc.).

The 3 roads that go up to the tent sites are way too small for big RV's etc. Is way very entertaining to watch all the people try it and fail and scream holler and cuss about it. You really should put up signs that say small vehicles only or no vehicles over 20 feet etc. My camper van is 20 feet long and I could not get in some of those sites. No warning signs at all are really making people mad.

Kind, productive employee rock stars who exude the FUN atmosphere you all created! The all ages activities make it feel like summer camp for the family at a budget friendly price: Who doesn't want to go on the giant slide! "Primitive" tent camping is as named, in the best sense of the word; It feels secluded, with lots of regional trees and plants and lots of shade, with bathrooms/shower nearby.

This was a great place to camp! I came with 5 of my college friends, and we really enjoyed it. The slide, pool, park, and mini-golf were a huge plus, and didn't cost extra. The only downside was poorly marked campsites.

The only thing that was exceptional was being allowed to check in early and check out late, but even that came with unnecessary pushback. The pool is TOO COLD!!! Mini golf, fun, but completely falling apart, no upkeep, needs a broom. False advertising, NO go- carts, the slide was rarely open. 5 days my kids got 1 hour. I could go on but your app won't let me type more. Feels about right. Sad

Met a group of people for my friends 50th birthday. A lot of the group has kuds and there was so much for them to do! Everything was clean and kept up. The staff was off the charts friendly and helpful. Had an outstanding weekend. Thank you so much!

Views are gorgeous and a cute perfect size. Bathrooms were decent. My kids loved the giant slide and merry go round play. The pool was cold. Honestly the worst part was the insane amount of red ants at the grass pad tent site. Dog paw got stung & mounds everywhere and crawling all over our site. The workers were so nice trying to help rid them best they could but it was rough. Would go back again.

Amazing stay for our family! We have young kids and we stayed over the holiday weekend and all the planned free activities were truly amazing!!! We will definitely be back. We’ve already told friends about it too!

I’ve stayed at this KOA a few times in the past but this time it was very impressive. Nothing for the kids to do. Slide didn’t work and everything looked run down. It is October but even the store had very little.

Reserved a primitive camp site hoping to get the whole KOA experience (evening campfire, hayride, slide, etc.) during our stay. However, due to limited staffing (school starting) there were no activities to participate in (no staffing or limited time open). Very clean restroom and shower facilities. Nice facilities throughout the camp. Conveniently located to all the action in the Gorge.

If no other tent sites are booked, the back corner sites are well secluded and quiet. There is not a lot of options for shade, so bring some sort of canopy. Otherwise these are great tent sites.

We stayed in a tent site with no shade and ground was very hard. It was so hot and a near by horse shelter was not cleaning manure. Lots of pile and flies flying around the site.

We used a tent spot and the pad was nice and big. There was enough room to park our pickup infront of our tent. The bathrooms and shower area were clean. Water was hot!!! Maybe a sign about cactus plants would be a benefit to campers up on the hill where we were. Staff [ young man]was excellent. He was very knowledgeable. We had a great stay. Camp sites were not clearly defined so parking was pretty unclear, no paved or gravel sites to mark parking. Areas to place a tent were not flat. Area to do dishes was out of use. Pool was cloudy, did not appear to be appropriately cleaned.

We stayed in the primitive area for 2 days and it was beautiful..The bathrooms were up to date, clean and we never ran out of hot water.. We did not do all the fun things they have to offer because we did not stay there all day. I have seen some bad Google reviews but I have to say this place is 100% better than any state park bathroom and shower area I have very been in. It's camping not a hotel.

I love the area and the amenities that come with this specific KOA. The only thing I don't like is that some of the tent xsites are too close to one another. Some of the guests were extremely loud around the time we were trying to sleep...and being intoxicated didn't help their stay. It was very hard to sleep and could've been a dangerous situation if we confronted them...

We stay at this KOA everytime we come to the Royal Gorge. The people that run it are always friendly and the camp ground and bathrooms are always clean. It's a great place to camp!

Our initial tent gravel site didn't have a gravel pad so they were nice and let us switch. The gravel pads have a border of wood around them our tent didn't fit in the square so we had to find another spot to try and put up our tent. The land is full of rocks and is hard. The bugs in the area are unbearable. Even with tons of bug spray they were constantly trying to fly in ears, nose and mouth.

Staff was very friendly and seemed very organized. We went during the week and. It crowded. It if it was full May be tight sites. I only saw one bathroom for the entire campground. You cant go wrong with a KOA and this one was no exception. Lots of trees, beautiful views and plenty of room at each site. We had no issues with a 43' class A.
