This was our second stay at KOA Cañon City, and it was fantastic! Very clean, very friendly people and all we’d expected!

- Did not have my original larger cabin available due to some water issue and moved me down to smaller cabin. Okay but no additional compensation was made outside of prorating to other cabin rate. Low water pressure and smelled - Promoted events for kids on Sat, no one was there so disappointing. Either state there will be no activities but don't advertise then not do them - Same for Sun. pancak

The location is fantastic, surroundings beautiful, but the sinks and showers felt dirty and not as private as other KOAs I've used. Also, the lack of lighting around the campsite at night made it very difficult to get around and since we were using a cabin, I didn't think I would need a headlamp.

Our deluxe cabin was clean and comfortable. I think that general maintenance to get everything better would make it better. Such as making sure all lights work and the fan works properly. There was 2 of us but if there was a family of four there would not be enough silverware. We did have a mouse but the maintenance man brought a trap taking care of the problem.

Great campground with great views. Cabin was a bit dirty with several cobwebs. Office staff seemed quite new but tried their best. Also had no TV signal.

Loved the property and enjoyed exploring the area. I had a pleasant time in a cabin; one thing that would have been nice would be to have a refrigerator and microwave (many KOA cabins throughout the country provide these). Better WiFi would be good too!

It has a lot of potential but not very clean. Such as laundry room. Office was not very welcoming area. Not very tidy. Gal was friendly that checked us in. Seems like they need more help. Cabin was pretty clean but bathtub draining very slowly when taking a shower. Standing in the water. Weak wifi and no tv. No deck chairs. No kitchen towels or dish soap to wash dishes in bathroom sink.

Stayed in a deluxe cabin. Perfect stay for my mother, myself and husband. Clean with everything we needed. Close to Royal Gorge so we could easily make it to the Easter sunrise service.

We enjoyed our stay but the cabin was not very clean. The bed didn’t look like linens were fresh and were all wadded up under comforter. Floor dirty under couch and clothes left under there from former campers. Also fire detector hanging from ceiling. Don’t mean to b a complainer just think things need to be clean .

We had a cabin site and a tent site. The cabin was very clean and we were glad to see that there was some basic linens and dishes. The wooden steps going to and from the cabin or at a bit of a slant so far elderly family members that was a little dangerous and probably needs to be fixed before a fall. The campsite was great and no problems.

The cabin was adequate. Things that were missing were: chairs for the porch, dishes/itensils, body wash in the shower. Beautiful setting. Nice that there was a fire pit and grill.

Very friendly staff, facilities were clean, Kamp Store was well stocked, Kamping Kabin was perfect with nice stone fire pit, the Royal Gorge was gorgeous, Canon City was charming, and the night sky was breathtaking. We are already planning a return trip!

While this is a very nice and clean campground, the manager is very rude and dismissive. We stayed in a cabin that had broken lights, broken blinds and outside lightening was awful. I took a pretty hard fall and when I brought it to her attention about the lighting outside being horrible, she blamed me. She was never in the office during what you would think were business hours.

Wonderful! We had a family in a camper, one in a tent and another in a cabin. All right next to each other - it was fabulous. Clean cabin, tub to bath the babies in, mini kitchen w dishes and coffee pot , fridge, microwave. Will do this again. Staff was wonderful

Loved that there was a 1/2 bath. The rest of the cabin was very sparse compared to other cabins we have stayed in. Extremely easy access to the Royal Gorge bridge.

Our stay was ok. Your staff is amazing and friendly and very nice. I rented the most expensive cabin because we needed the air conditioner for health reasons. The one in the main room was broken and when it did run it made an awful noise. The water in the shower never got cold, things were broken like blinds, chairs, and the bbq was so old and dirty it wasn’t usable. We left out early.

Our family had so much fun at this KOA. We had the deluxe cabin that was almost identical to the Jelly Stone cabin we stayed in last year but at half the price. The staff was nice and the activities were fun. The s'mores at night and pancakes on Sunday morning were great and I enjoyed that there was complimentary coffee in the morning at the gift shop. We will definitely stay here again!

I really like the deluxe cabin with the toilet and sink. Staff were helpful and polite and accommodating. The cabin had no where to hang your coat, hat or etc.. Also I dropped my glasses under the bunk beds and boy was it dirty and dusty under there, my allergies to dusty and dirt really flared up.

So disappointed, we’ve been there many times before. We had no chairs, all of the utensils were filthy for the barbecue. The barbecue was filthy. When we asked about getting chairs, the poor woman was the only one there so she couldn’t go get those and told us we could go get them. There was literally nothing in the cabin, not even a bar of soap, thank God we brought all of our own stuff.

The cabin we were in was in great shape when we arrived and the the cabin was able to stay comfortable in the warm weather. it was great being so close to the Gorge and water activities - rafting. The camp was well managed.

Kids enjoyed putting putt and the slide. Wish the slide had a little better hours for them to enjoy more in the evening time after we came back from seeing local sites. Pool was dirty and the kids didn’t want to swim in it. Staff were helpful and fast when we had issues with hot water. Grounds were kept nice and the cabin we were in was in great condition.

There was a rain storm that blew in as we had arrived. It turned into a downpour for about 30 minutes. My cabin started leaking and dripping on the bed and floor. I tried to catch as much as I could but I was not prepared. Thankfully the rain never lasts long in Colorado. Other than that my family had a wonderful time.

The canon city KOA is a gem! Our cabin was very clean, had incredible views, and no road noise. My little kids loved the activities and the staff was so friendly. I’ve never stayed at a campground like this and was so pleasantly surprised. Thank you!

We were promised a grill and our cabin didn’t have one. Three staff people we talked to were unhelpful, said sorry and so it was up to us to figure out a solution. Then the roof leaked onto the beds during the rainstorm.

I rented a small cabin but I guess I expected a little more. I thought it would be more like a motel room, bedding, pillows and toilet paper in the bathroom. Guess I assumed wrong, other wise the cabin was clean and well kept except for the lock on the door, I reported it.

Cabin was lovely but had a mouse. We understand that with camping this happens sometimes. But the hours at the office should be much longer. We were helped after hours but no one came to rebait the traps the second evening as everyone leaves at 4pm and we were out until late.

The campground spots it self were ok kept & the view was beautiful. The deluxe cabin was disappointing. Beds were not made, food under the bunk bed plastic mattresses, no smoke detector (wires hanging down from the ceiling), picnic table falling apart, grill was NOT useable, cabin was extremely dirty/ no linen. Blue slide was a safety hazard, pool was ok (chairs were cracked/old).

You cant go wrong with a KOA and this one was no exception. Lots of trees, beautiful views and plenty of room at each site. We had no issues with a 43' class A.
