The stay was alright, I was not impressed with the staff, they didn’t engage in a manner that was welcoming. The majority of staff that we encountered appeared to be teenagers. There were campers across from us that put their dogs outside early mornings and allowed them to bark nonstop, I didn’t appreciate that. There was only 1 planned activity each evening and no information to attend.

We had a perfect camp spot near the office with lots of shade…beautiful landscaping…it is very kid friendly…only suggestion is to pave main entrance to office..windy area and lots of dust blowing around. Close to all sites…

It is a nice campground. The pool needs updating. The young lady in the office had no access to change for the laundry on Saturday morning The afternoon person was able to provide change but by then I was not wanting to do laundry.

The park is beautiful, everyone was great and when we ordered a pizza (fresh hand made to order) they delivered it to our space. There are no KOA signs along the highway so we drove right by it and had to call the office to get help to find the right turn off (at a restaurant called My Sister's Place). We would have loved to had time to stay longer.

We have stayed in our trailer at this KOA several times now. It is a lovely campsite. It's very quiet, off the highway. It's beautiful, clean and has lots of things to do. Twice we have traveled with friends and family who have used the cabin facilities and they are lovely and clean and brand new. The dog and kids park are great. Love the Canyon City KOA!

We stayed in a deluxe site with a pergola and it was perfect! The campground is located in a great area for activities and sightseeing. The staff was very friendly and the park was very clean. We will definitely be back!

1. Prevailing winds from north or south blow smoke from other campers fire pit into campsite. Can't open RV windows due to smoke. 2. RV site orientation precludes/negates use of RV awning to block afternoon sun. Therefore no shade.

Very well kept campground. The grandkids loved the pool and slide. The campsite was very nice. E39. And the staff were very helpful and friendly!!!

Its a beautiful location and has so many possibilities. The property has good upkeep but lacking upkeep on amenities. The pool is so cold, a heater would make it so it could be used in June. The golf course needs a makeover, its falling apart and covered in leaves, twigs and rocks. The slide needs to be buffed down, painted and waxes. Play ground needs to be fixed

Sadly, I found the staff to be indifferent, the wifi useless, and while trivial, no garbage collection at site. Great location for this KOA. However, not a good value at $100 for a single transient night stay. Also, wish KOA HQ and individual KOA would recognize KOA Reward VIPs more readily. We VIP seem to get nothing for our status, unlike hotel reward programs. Cheers !

Originally got a cheaper site and did not like it. Was able to upgrade and paid more for a better site that was renovated with a pet pen, seating area and canopy. Was very happy with the new site and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The KOA was very clean in a great location.

Love this campground. We stayed once previously - closer to the main road. I'd recommend those spots as the best ones to stay at (think they start with an "M").

We loved all the work on the campground remodel. It's lols amazing!! Sites we very clean and landscape was beautiful. Our kids had a blast. The only down fall was the pool, would have loved it to be heated and I don't think the pool filter was even on, nothing was running. The kids really loved the big blue slide, I would definitely invest in the up keep of that.

1st time at a KOA Just seems strange that all the activities for kids don’t start until late in the day. The pool was like swimming in ice cubes Honestly felt like the put put, playground and slide could use some love/upkeep. Also, while friendly, could make for a much better experience if those running kid’s activities were more interactive with the kids.

The KOA employees were wonderful. The grounds were clean and well kept. The swimming pool was unheated. The restrooms stalls were small. The campground itself is on a slight hill side so plan on blocking up your rig. Over all a nice place.

We had a great stay and the koa. Our first site was not what I had though I had reserved however, we asked if another was available and they were very accomidating, putting us in a different, better location. Everyone of the staff were very helpful, and friendly. Thank you all for making our stay memorable.

We were in A1, but would request A2 next time. The corner is pretty busy and can be noisy. We enjoyed our stay. Our only complaints were: 1) very weak Wi-Fi signal, 2) no antenna TV signal and 3) no cable TV.

Our site was so narrow, we could not put out our awning and sit under it. We had no protection from sun and rain. Asked to move, but young woman at check-in said she could not move us without owner or manager. Campground was almost empty upon arrival and still open sites when we left, we could have moved. Reached out to owners, but didn’t hear back. Plan to stay at a different campground next tr

We met friends there and had a great time. Although none of us had small kids, there are a lot of amenities to keep them entertained. The bathrooms are very clean.

We have stayed at this Koa before a few times. The upgrades are very, very nice. However, we were in site E48 and the picnic table was in rough shape. Bolts / screws missing from braces and very, very wobbly. Thanks for your concerns. Until the next time, Donna Werner

Excellent camp site! The actual sites were extremely well maintained, laundromat was easily accessible, staff was friendly! My only suggestion is that the mini golf, slide, etc need some maintenance, but other than that, it was perfect!

Great park. Had one of the sites with a private dog yard. Wifi was the the best I have ever had away from home. Clean restrooms and a nice store. Lots of activities for kids We will come back

Our stay was mostly a pleasant one. The campsites are very nice. We were there for 4 days and noticed one negative. The waste container in the dog park was full upon our arrival and was never emptied during our entire stay.

As peaceful as it gets this time of year. Stayed here beginning of April 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt/gravel pad. Pavers, landscaping, and very fine gravel/sand mix fire pit area. Site #B12 General: 1) Very quiet and not many other campers this time of year. 2) 5-7 min for Royal Gorge Bridge Park and overlook picnic areas. 3) Spacious sites and not too close to neighbors and their hookups (many are a touch short but still work well) Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Conducted Zoom meetings and able to work on vpn. BUT that is mainly b/c the park was fairly empty. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Verizon (4 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Site assignments posted on board. Office hours limited this time of year. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but too not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. Location: Gas, groceries and restaurants are in town 10 min Near highway: The KOA is slightly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: No
