We booked sites months in advance with specific RV details. We were assigned “sister sites” with barely enough room to lower our stairs, no space for grilling, chairs, etc. We paid for an upgraded space. We had poor water pressure for (3) days. Water was “off” for most of (1) day. The bathrooms were dirty. The laundry area smelled of sewer gas. A disappointing KOA experience!

The water pressure started out horrible, and only got worse. We had the better part of a day with NO water at all. When I went to the office was simply told we are working on it. No apologies, At chrck out I went back to the office. Allison was nothing but rude. I asked if we would be compensated for NO water. Was told no. Again, I would have accepted a simple apology. None was offered,

Kids loved the giant slide and the pool! Will definitely be staying again on our next trip to the Royal Gorge!

Close to attractions. Quiet at night. People need to slow down once in the campground! The water pressure was the biggest problem for us, was very low.

Park was clean and well organized, situated in a great area with easy access to activities. Overall the park is nice. I would say that they need to pay more attention to the bathrooms and showers. One bathroom privacy door was hanging by one hinge and it was like this for several days. All toilet paper dispensers were empty one day. Shower benches had loose bolts barely holding them.

The check in was seamless with very friendly and helpful staff. The pool and all amenities looked great. A perfect location close to Royal Gorge and Canon City. The views are amazing.

This KOA had some hard working teens but we never saw an adult. I would not say this was a “Holiday” KOA. There were multiple things that our group was dissatisfied with. We would probably find another campground to stay at if we went back to the Royal Gorge.

I was told my camping spot was a full hook up. It wasn’t. There was no water. The dump was too far away and I wasn’t able to reach it. When I asked about having no water I was told that the spots share water but it was broke, and was told they would not reimburse me anything because it was broke and not a full hook up spot. I was in J1. It’s not a sister spot. It doesn’t share water.

One of the prettiest KOAs we have stayed at! My goodness, the landscaping is superb. Bathrooms are clean and modern. Very friendly staff. The large slide is a bonus.. really fun for kids. Mini golf is nice and dog park is very nice as well. If private bathrooms are important, then stay on the east side of the KOA. They have very nice private bathrooms / showers there.

Everything was pretty good. My biggest gripe and it's a pretty big one is that we had almost no water pressure for the entire week. We asked for it to be addressed but nothing was ever done.

Great campground! I stayed in the South section and I loved it. Great views of the local scenery and it’s a well maintained campground.

Bathrooms were dirty, No toilet paper. Shower was not clean. Growns guy was cutting weeds till 7:30PM would have been nice to be outside enjoying. Front desk girl was not helpful.

Nice place. Few negatives. Arrived 1.5 hours prior to check in time, but would have to pay extra to pull into the empty site. Had to try to find a place to park the 45' rv and wait 1.5 hrs. Also the camp site they had for us was BARELY long enough and there were a number of open spots. I asked if we could go to a different site, without even checking, the gal said nope. Many sites remained empty

Beautiful campground settings but one of the dumpsters needs to be relocated because it blocks the landscaping view. Found the water pressure to be very low and in the men’s bathroom ran out of paper hand towels. Suggest installing second towel dispenser. My last comment is staffing hours are very limited. 4 to 6 hours a day is poor for a hospitality business.

The staff are great. The place was well kept up and nice. Only unfavorable comment is that of all the koas we have been to, this is the most tightly packed in.

Signage on the road is not very good nor is signage inside the park. It is marginally big rig friendly. Tight maneuvering room. Given that, it is in a beautiful spot and the staff was exceptionally helpful in finally finding a spot I could fit in. Overall it was a good stay.

We loved our stay at the KOA Royal Gorge! Great location, beautiful sites! Like most of the KOA's we've stayed in, in Colorado this one could also use an upgrade to the bathroom facilities. But, it was nothing to complain about!

The area is nice. The staff is very friendly and kind. The pool is lovely. The putt putt and other amenities need serious work. They are just old and worn. The offerings at the store are sufficient. We couldn’t get a toothbrush, which is a pretty common item, but they told us they sold out, so I’d gather that is something normally available. Love the dog off leash area!!!

Wow — what an incredible first stay at the Royal Gorge / Canon City KOA! The staff was friendly, and the park was spotless. The RV patio sites were newer and well-designed, and even the standard full hookup sites were landscaped and offered stunning mountain views. All things were good except the WiFi was marginal and the most serious was very low water pressure at times.

There weren't many activities planned this year as there were in years past. I was highly disappointed about that, especially the activities for kids. The Royal Gorge KOA should have indoor activities and have a game room/TV room for their guest so they don't feel like they've wasted their money on this KOA when it rains

You cant go wrong with a KOA and this one was no exception. Lots of trees, beautiful views and plenty of room at each site. We had no issues with a 43' class A.
