Didn't have our late checkin ready so had to call and didn’t have a map to find the spot in the dark. Also had an unleveled spot which doesn’t work well for a van. As a frequent customer of koa, I expect more.

This KOA was very unresponsive and rarely, if ever, had anyone in the office. Anytime we went to purchase firewood or even check-in, nobody was there. It seems they are very under staffed and it was obvious by their lack of availability. We ended up leaving early because we tried to visit the store 3 times on our first day, during hours they were supposed to be open, and nobody was there.

We stayed in November. Glad to find an RV park open all seasons with working hookups. Very quiet, clean, well maintained with great RV sites that are well planned out to provide ample space and comfort. Outstanding views and amenities. You can see the lights of the Royal Gorge Bridge at night. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

We camped here with friends for only 2 days. The grounds were nice. We had a site with a pet patio that was unusable to us. We have small dogs and the pen had a huge hole dug near the gate so I couldn't trust it to hold them.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. No complaints other than no TV reception or radio.

The large rocks surrounding the sites are hazardous to maneuvering large campers around and we had to back out of our pull through site because of hairpin turns near our site. If the campground was full, it would not have been possible. That said, however, the bathrooms were very clean and the nature trail was fantastic! Lots to do for kids if you come during the regular season.

You need to water some area of your grounds so dogs can have green grass to pee on. Everything was rocks, gravel or stickers. Campers travel with pets.

My wife and I agreed that this was the most beautiful, well cared-for, beautifully landscaped campground we'd ever been in. I'm sure we'll be going back in the future!

Beautiful campground! We had a lovely spot with a mature tree for some shade, awesome views for sunrise and sunset. Loved that it was only minutes from the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, Canon City, the train and lots of trails. Would definitely stay here again!!

It is probably the best KOA I’ve stayed at. Clean. Beautiful sites. Individual dog pens are really an extra. Just a well kept campground.

We totally loved being at this KOA. Spacious pull thru and great internet connection. Very convenient to all the sites and town. We would definitely come back!

Great use of natural rock in the area to build firepits at each site. Love that! Could use a second bathhouse further up hill. Long long walk from many sites to only bathroom.

1st time at this KOA. Very nice with long wide spots with fire pits and great views. Staff member Michael was professional, courteous and very helpful. Thankful for his advice on where to go and what was out there to see! Definitely recommend Royal Gorge Canyon City KOA!

Arrived by 4 pm, office was closed already. Went down at 10 am the next morning to make sure we were checked in and to pay for the site. I had to wait for the attendant to open the door. When we left at about 9:45 stopped at office to inform them that the sewers in our camp site area were plugged. Once again office was not open.

We were very happy with our campsite. The views of the mountains were awesome. The staff was very helpful with the September rewards points. We liked the layout of the campground and how clean it was.

Unless your RV is less than 35 feet this KOA isn’t for you. This KOA needs a major modification to handle today’s RVs. The sites are laid out in such a way that it’s virtually impossible to maneuver. No signs are posted to indicate how to enter or exit. Large boulders prevent turns at corners. Sites are very small. Facilities are OK. . Staff were friendly

The camp grounds have really been cleaned up and landscaped well. A totally improved campground from a year ago.

We were with family in a tent, rv gravel spot, and a cabin. It's only our second time staying at a KOA. The rv spots are level and nice. Great to have bathroom/shower facilities. The tent site was very basic. The cabin for 6 was great as the weather was awful, but the stairs were decrepit and the grill was kinda rusty. The mini golf needed attention. Too pricey for all sites for us.

I loved it. We didn't do or look for any activity other than white water rafting so I cannot speak to activities however the campsite itself is great and the people are also great.

We are really bummed that we weren’t able to go into the gift shop since I had no workers at the campsite. Other than that, the campsite was beautiful.

Camp there a few times while traveling across the United States by motorcycle. Quiet and friendly.

This is a wonderful, well kept campground. It is in a great location and just outside of the Royal Gorge and just outside of town. We would definitely stay here again.
