cabin was not insulated daylight could be seen through walls ac unit was only rated for 150sq ft. Thus only kept the cabin at 90 during the 100 degree days. No lights worked when ac was running when booking koa site advertised daily breakfast and wagon rides there were none horseback riding that was supposed to be nearby went out of business 3y prior No water Saturday morning when got up

We first stay at Royal Gorge KOA August of 2024. That stay was very positive and enjoyable. However, this year we stayed in a 2 room camping cabin and were very disappointed that the air conditioning was not sufficient to keep the cabin comfortable. It was intolerably hot and we had to cut or stay short. A larger air conditioner or an additional one probably improve the situation.

We stayed in the "deluxe" cabin at the nightly price of $180. The kitchenette consisted of a microwave and a dirty coffee maker. Nothing was provided, only a roll of paper towels. We have stayed in similar cabins at other KOA properties and those cabins were fully stocked. The worst part was the broken shower and dirty bathmat and the bath towels were old and very worn. The campground looked nice.

Overall, we had a good stay. We were in a deluxe cabin and there was mice coming in through a hole under the sink. We asked 3 times for someone to come fill the hole over our 3 night start and no one ever came. The light in the bedroom didn’t work and it was never fixed either. At check in the cabin we were assigned had not been cleaned. There was overflowing trash, dirty towels, and used linens. It was already 4 pm and the cleaning lady had gone home for the day. When I complained at reception a second available cabin was also not cleaned. We had to drive clear across the campground, finally locating a third cabin that was actually clean and had to move our things.

We come here almost every year. We love all the activities & events for kids. Our kids never want to leave. The staff is really nice too, helping my son go down the big slide when my hands were full. Thanks for another great experience.

We loved all the amenities, including the nice tables and chairs, Adirondacks, fenced pet yard at our campsite and sunshade. The kids really seem to enjoy the pool. A few did get burns from the slide. So while they enjoyed it, could use a little more protection when they go down.

The Deluxe Cabin was great with comfort and necessities. Its structure was well insulated from cool nights. Staff was friendly. Our teenagers enjoyed grilling breakfast, lunch and dinner; and roasting hot dogs with us. It's location made it easy to travel to the Royal Gorge Park and scenic drives.

This KOA was breathtaking. I was surprised that you could see the Royal Gorge bridge from our cabin's front deck. The grounds are incredibly well maintained. I wanted to specifically give a shout out to the young women running the store and manning the kids activities. Over the weekend they were incredibly helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

We didn’t have any hot/ warm water in our cabin shower. I called the office and someone came to look at it but said they couldn’t fix it, to use showers in another building. That was a rip off for what I paid and disappointment.

FANTASTIC VIEWS, CLEAN KOA! Can't give 5 stars, the cabin we stayed in (#59) was OK, the sink drained slow even from just brushing our teeth. There are no pegs/hooks to hang coats, clothes or wet towels on in this cabin. We've stayed in a lot of KOA's and that issue was a first for us. One other thing, minor as it may seem, the curtain rods should be replaced with ones more sturdy.

Overall it was only okay. Bummed that we didn’t get to stay in the accommodation we booked. The “deluxe” cabin we ended up in had a sink and shower that didn’t drain — so we ended up using the shower house anyway. Not sure why there’s a daily resort fee either- maybe for the pool, but if you stay before it’s open, should you still have to pay that? Nothing else was going on… so ove

The cabin was spacious and clean. Loved the giant fire pit. However, there was a sign on the office door that the attendant would be “back”. Rather than go in to town and get firewood and supplies, we waited then hours later we were told it was closed. They did hand deliver wood, but had we known we could have gone to town and made breakfast and lunch sooner. No pizza available.

Terrible customer service. No one was there to check in. We were told to wait 10-15 minutes for someone to give us our cabin key, but it took almost 45 minutes. Once we got our key, we were told there was no water, but it “should” be fixed that night. HI! The camping cabin (no bathroom) and location were excellent. Nice fire pit. Dog run area. Clean Cabin. Mirror was a great touch. Easy check in and check out. The only thing I didn't realize there was not heat in the year round cabin - my fault for not calling a head of time! It was quite chilly but a night to remember! We will bring extra blankets next time.

2nd time staying at this KOA. Our only complaint was that the windows and screens in our cabin (106B) were either broken or filthy or both. One of the windows was even screwed shut.

I love staying in the KOA camping cabins. However, I should have researched better to see what was included. From previous stays at other KOAs they provided kitchen ware. I had planned to cook in my cabin. I had to plan otherwise. Also I didn’t know there were so many stairs to walk into to get to the cabin with no rail. So it was a bit of a challenge for my husband and I.

Stayed her for the members weekend BOGO deal this past weekend. Vanessa (owner) is not offering the deal because we stayed in a cabin - not listed anywhere that cabins are excluded. This deal was apparently only for tent and RV sites. I called on Thursday 9/5 before we arrived to verify cabins were part of deal. I'll leave a negative review everywhere I can for this campground. Happy to discuss!

First time KOA'ers here. Pleasantly surprised with the experience. Stayed in a deluxe cabin- small but clean for price. What justified the value for us was the amenities and family atmosphere. Giant slide was a blast. Mike ran a lot of the activities - what gem he is. Thanks Mike and KOA!

The campground was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We happened to have some very loud neighbors the first night, but that was the only real issue we had. We'll be back!

I grew up in the mountains of CO and now that I live with my own family in Chicago, I have always wanted to bring them to the mountains and stay in a cabin. Cabins out here can be so out of our price range though so this was a game changer for our family. We especially loved the amount of space in the cabin, the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the mini golf! Thank you for an amazing time!

Water issues which I understand couldn’t be helped. Air conditioner must have been on some sort of delay timer. Didn’t have air in the middle of the night without getting up ever hour to turn off then back on. Butane bottle was turned off so first night showers were cold. After a phone call Aaron came to turn it on.

You cant go wrong with a KOA and this one was no exception. Lots of trees, beautiful views and plenty of room at each site. We had no issues with a 43' class A.
