Cabin was lovely but had a mouse. We understand that with camping this happens sometimes. But the hours at the office should be much longer. We were helped after hours but no one came to rebait the traps the second evening as everyone leaves at 4pm and we were out until late.

We didn't have too much time there, but there were plenty of activities and options. The one reason not a 5 star was the office hours. Oddly varied from day to day and short. The day we left, the office was open 10-4. I could get on before we had to leave. Day before that was 9 to 6, believe. The day we got in, they closed at 4. When your check on timebis 2p, 4p is way too early to close.

The 3 roads that go up to the tent sites are way too small for big RV's etc. Is way very entertaining to watch all the people try it and fail and scream holler and cuss about it. You really should put up signs that say small vehicles only or no vehicles over 20 feet etc. My camper van is 20 feet long and I could not get in some of those sites. No warning signs at all are really making people mad.

The campground spots it self were ok kept & the view was beautiful. The deluxe cabin was disappointing. Beds were not made, food under the bunk bed plastic mattresses, no smoke detector (wires hanging down from the ceiling), picnic table falling apart, grill was NOT useable, cabin was extremely dirty/ no linen. Blue slide was a safety hazard, pool was ok (chairs were cracked/old).

Campgrounds were beautiful with the upgrades since we were there in 2020. Only complaint is that noise restrictions after 10 pm were not enforced.

Great campground. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. My kids absolutely loved the big slide. I can’t even count the number of times they went down. Kids also loved the mini golf. Great entertainment. Would highly recommend!

Nice campground with lots to do . Our site took some creative leveling as did the others around us but we made it work. Great location for visiting the Gorge and a beautiful view . Would stay again.

cabin was not insulated daylight could be seen through walls ac unit was only rated for 150sq ft. Thus only kept the cabin at 90 during the 100 degree days. No lights worked when ac was running when booking koa site advertised daily breakfast and wagon rides there were none horseback riding that was supposed to be nearby went out of business 3y prior No water Saturday morning when got up

Kind, productive employee rock stars who exude the FUN atmosphere you all created! The all ages activities make it feel like summer camp for the family at a budget friendly price: Who doesn't want to go on the giant slide! "Primitive" tent camping is as named, in the best sense of the word; It feels secluded, with lots of regional trees and plants and lots of shade, with bathrooms/shower nearby.

We first stay at Royal Gorge KOA August of 2024. That stay was very positive and enjoyable. However, this year we stayed in a 2 room camping cabin and were very disappointed that the air conditioning was not sufficient to keep the cabin comfortable. It was intolerably hot and we had to cut or stay short. A larger air conditioner or an additional one probably improve the situation.

We booked sites months in advance with specific RV details. We were assigned “sister sites” with barely enough room to lower our stairs, no space for grilling, chairs, etc. We paid for an upgraded space. We had poor water pressure for (3) days. Water was “off” for most of (1) day. The bathrooms were dirty. The laundry area smelled of sewer gas. A disappointing KOA experience!

We stayed in the "deluxe" cabin at the nightly price of $180. The kitchenette consisted of a microwave and a dirty coffee maker. Nothing was provided, only a roll of paper towels. We have stayed in similar cabins at other KOA properties and those cabins were fully stocked. The worst part was the broken shower and dirty bathmat and the bath towels were old and very worn. The campground looked nice.

The water pressure started out horrible, and only got worse. We had the better part of a day with NO water at all. When I went to the office was simply told we are working on it. No apologies, At chrck out I went back to the office. Allison was nothing but rude. I asked if we would be compensated for NO water. Was told no. Again, I would have accepted a simple apology. None was offered,

Overall, we had a good stay. We were in a deluxe cabin and there was mice coming in through a hole under the sink. We asked 3 times for someone to come fill the hole over our 3 night start and no one ever came. The light in the bedroom didn’t work and it was never fixed either. Park was clean and well organized, situated in a great area with easy access to activities. Overall the park is nice. I would say that they need to pay more attention to the bathrooms and showers. One bathroom privacy door was hanging by one hinge and it was like this for several days. All toilet paper dispensers were empty one day. Shower benches had loose bolts barely holding them.

This was a great place to camp! I came with 5 of my college friends, and we really enjoyed it. The slide, pool, park, and mini-golf were a huge plus, and didn't cost extra. The only downside was poorly marked campsites.

The check in was seamless with very friendly and helpful staff. The pool and all amenities looked great. A perfect location close to Royal Gorge and Canon City. The views are amazing.

This KOA had some hard working teens but we never saw an adult. I would not say this was a “Holiday” KOA. There were multiple things that our group was dissatisfied with. We would probably find another campground to stay at if we went back to the Royal Gorge.

I was told my camping spot was a full hook up. It wasn’t. There was no water. The dump was too far away and I wasn’t able to reach it. When I asked about having no water I was told that the spots share water but it was broke, and was told they would not reimburse me anything because it was broke and not a full hook up spot. I was in J1. It’s not a sister spot. It doesn’t share water.

At check in the cabin we were assigned had not been cleaned. There was overflowing trash, dirty towels, and used linens. It was already 4 pm and the cleaning lady had gone home for the day. When I complained at reception a second available cabin was also not cleaned. We had to drive clear across the campground, finally locating a third cabin that was actually clean and had to move our things.

We come here almost every year. We love all the activities & events for kids. Our kids never want to leave. The staff is really nice too, helping my son go down the big slide when my hands were full. Thanks for another great experience.

We loved all the amenities, including the nice tables and chairs, Adirondacks, fenced pet yard at our campsite and sunshade. The kids really seem to enjoy the pool. A few did get burns from the slide. So while they enjoyed it, could use a little more protection when they go down.

One of the prettiest KOAs we have stayed at! My goodness, the landscaping is superb. Bathrooms are clean and modern. Very friendly staff. The large slide is a bonus.. really fun for kids. Mini golf is nice and dog park is very nice as well. If private bathrooms are important, then stay on the east side of the KOA. They have very nice private bathrooms / showers there.

Everything was pretty good. My biggest gripe and it's a pretty big one is that we had almost no water pressure for the entire week. We asked for it to be addressed but nothing was ever done.

Great campground! I stayed in the South section and I loved it. Great views of the local scenery and it’s a well maintained campground.

You cant go wrong with a KOA and this one was no exception. Lots of trees, beautiful views and plenty of room at each site. We had no issues with a 43' class A.
