A beautiful place with great workers always willing to help. We did stay in one of the Cabins and their wasn't any hot water and no sheets for the pull out sofa. I feel like those were miner items to affect my rating.

Vanessa and her staff were extremely accommodating, they promptly took care of any of our requests and made our stay as pleasant as possible! All the facilities were extremely clean and very well maintained. The additional activities such as the wine tasting and pancake breakfast were a very nice surprise. We’ve already booked our next stay!!

It was a great spot and the host was on the ball with getting us a site that was accessible with a motorcycle.

We stayed at the Royal Gorge KOA for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. Clean and level sites, beautiful views, clean bathrooms, and a few activities to do that we didn't get a chance to, but will next time. The office staff were also awesome and very friendly. We will definitely be staying again.

Very friendly staff and clean, neat facilities. Wish we could have been allowed to play one quick round of miniature golf before leaving at checkout, but was told we had to be off the property.

We stayed in a camping Kabin, being from Texas we were surprised it had an ac unit and it got beyond cold in the cabin. Our pups loved the k9 area and the pizza they have is so good and a great deal. Staff were nice and welcoming and very helpful. Loved how close the site is to the royal gorge other outdoor activities, we will definitely be back.

Arminda at the front desk was amazing! Between the camp grounds and her friendly, helpful, cheerful demeanor we booked a campsite to stay in spite of having another reservation in CO springs. We loved this place and can’t wait to return for a full week. Arminda is exactly who needs to be working at every KOA we visit. And she cooks a mean pizza. Clone that girl!!

Nice place. It has a lot of rocks around every site which is pleasing to the eye but is not easy for getting in and out of the sites. There is no one to help you get into your site and no trash pick up at your site. Over all nice place. It would be nice to have a sign at the entrance saying entrance here to check in at the RV Campground office.

This is a Holiday, priced like a Holiday, yet presents as a slightly below average Journey. Rocks are placed around the campsites in a way that makes maneuvering difficult for big rigs. I stay in a lot of KOAs. Will probably avoid this one in the future.

The staff there was very professional, courteous and helpful. The campground is very well located near Royal Gorge Bridge and several other attractions. We will definitely be booking there again.

We called down to the office twice to let them know we had no hot water in the shower, and were told we could come to the community shower to warm up. One reason we chose the full cabins is for the bathroom and shower. Our propane tank was empty and the person working the desk was there alone, and wasn't able to get us a replacement quickly, so we had to use our own. Terribly disappointed.

Beautiful well maintained campground. Well furnished sites including fire pit with Adirondack chairs, table w/4 chairs (much nicer than a picnic table), a Sun screen canopy, and a private dog run. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The dogs give it a paws up.

A very hot day, so we were looking for shade. The Clerk was very nice and found us a shaded site :). However; the prices at this KOA are very steep. I realize it’s a popular area, but $80+ for one night is a lot! The bathrooms were very clean and nice.

First camping cabin the AC did not work, so we paid to upgrade to a deluxe cabin and the second night the water went out. Called the after hours number that was no help and was told to use the bath house they would look at it the next day. We were leaving the next day so that is no help. They had no concern about the situation. I have stayed at a number of different KOA's with no issues.

The KOA is more like suburbia than camping, which is great if that's what you're looking for. There were ice cream socials and you can have pizza delivered to your site from the pizza oven on site. There was a giant slide that once in a while are open to heading down in the potato sacks. It was nice getting text messages to let me know what events were going on. Pool was full of leaves, no scooper

Love the campground itself but there was no staff around, felt like a ghost town, just 1 person to get you checked in. Nice place to stay has several things to do.

The campgrounds are nice but could use a little more upkeep. The mini golf course had a lot of debris on it. They also announced free root-beer floats one night at 8:00pm, we arrived at 8:20 and they were already done. More people arrived after us too and were disappointed. Not sure what happened there but I would have that going for at least an hour.

Spectacular view, love the Paw Pen - will book those again. Excellent customer service, clean facilities. Our first trip and will be back.

Tent sites seem to be on hilly rocky land or sloping grass area with prickly thorns in the grass! Not much shade but good showers/toilets and mini golf plus a large slide which we all enjoyed! Rafting and climbing agent just off site and a few gift stores too. About a 10 minute drive into Canón City where’s there’s plenty of restaurants etc.

Upon check-in my husband was likened to a serial killer by the young lady at reception...haha so funny. Cabin was alright. Dusty glasses and greasy plates,missing linen for bed, dirty grill and no brush to clean it either, quiet hours not adhered to. Also the cabin we had was for 4 adults and or 2 adults/2 children, yet we were charged for 2 ''extra''adults and a child.

Nice place but the closed attractions were a big disappointment to the kids as we rolled into the campground. It looks well past time to take the slide down. Also, your sewer hook ups at A1/A2 are above grade making it difficult to empty tanks. Other than that all was good.

Staff that checked us in was very friendly, help us choose an accommodating site and get parked. Our site was nice. Downfalls was the putt putt was dirty from leaves, needed some TLC. The slide is half the reason we stay here. It's so fun. It'd be nice to have longer hours on slide.

Overall it was excellent. Clean, friendly staff, nice location etc. We had a very loud "neighbor" two campsites away. When I texted the KOA number for assistance I got an automatic return indicating that they were only available during the day. People were yelling at the guy to be quiet, he was drunk, honking his truck horn - overall pretty obnoxious and there was no one there from KOA to help.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was super helpful and the facilities were in excellent condition. We really enjoyed the hayride and the root beer floats. My only recommendation is that they put a change machine in the laundry room.

Friendly staff, stayed here to visit Royal Gorge train ride but could be used to visit all the other venues around. The huge slide is only open on weekends. Pool has no hand rails to enter or get of, which is difficult for older people, like me (80). Pool was appropriately cool (when you first get in) and clean, but sitting area had some mud. Free mini golf is changeling, pizza was good!

Would have been 5 stars had we not had problems with the air conditioner. It never stayed on, there were no directions on how to operate it and, stepping up on a chair to press buttons on the air conditioner to hope it would stay on for more than 2 minutes was a problem after being gone all day.

Wonderful! Campgrounds and sites very well manicured. Very impressed with the pet pens at some of the sites. Staff very helpful. Beautiful location with plenty of attractions nearby. Will definitely return. Would be a great location for a family gathering. Thank you for a great time. .

We arrived at 6:00pm, and their office was closed. We usually look for an envelope with our name/reservation and parking info. Nothing. There was a map of the KOA site. We parked in a spot that fit our rig. We found out in the morning that we had parked in the wrong assigned spot, but they didn't care if we chose to stay put. The other thing that was unusual for a KOA, is that they had no night manager. Usually, someone in an ATV or golf cart comes out and makes sure you're legit and everything is fine. Nothing. The sinks in the men's bathrooms had standing water (all but one), and it was pretty disgusting to look at. We were there 4 days and it was like that the whole time. The reason why I'm not giving it a lower rating is because the site is beautiful, and camp grounds well maintained. The staff seems friendly, and we loved the private dog pen. We would stay again (but arrive earlier)!
