1) Loved that it was near Kings Dominion and it had a shuttle to Kings Dominion. 2) The KOA store was EXTREMELY expensive. ($5 for a bag of marshmallows?!?!?) We ended up walking to 7-Eleven to get some necessities (and that was way cheaper than the KOA store). 3) Only one shower in the bathroom nearest to us, which was fine as it wasn't busy. 4) Would have liked a hike/trail around the campsite.

I had an enjoyable overnight stay. There was a bright floodlight near the office that was on until around 1 am or so that was a bit of a problem with sleeping.

The campground and its facilities were so clean and the staff so very nice. The tent site was quite large.

Beautiful property, lots of area for kids to play, wonderful store with lots of necessities and ice cream! However, part of the primitive camping area has a bright light post over it that will shine through your tent. I’m sure it’s a light to help see to the bathroom but nonetheless isn’t ideal. Otherwise, great campsite.

The staff was very friendly and refunded us part of our stay after our tent broke. They have everything you could need(or forget) in their store and the bathrooms/showers were immaculate. We will definitely be returning, just in a cabin this time! �

stayed at tent spot 22. Price of $70 for a tiny spot and feet from others. Nothing to see, pool closed, and no real breakfast options. What am I paying for? Way to expensive for what?! Only reason I went was because I thought it cost only $40 but to find out the price jumped. I would of canceled but already made a promise to my kiddo. First and last time for that location. Bathrooms were clean.

Great service to accommodate a group of scouts getting to/from Kings Dominion. Staff went out of their way to adjust our reservation when we weren't able to arrive Friday night.

I was only here for a night while returning to MA from a trip down to NC, but everything during my brief stay was fine. As usual, the staff were really friendly and got me checked in and set up quickly. My primitive campsite was nice - ground was level and grassy with decent shade trees. The shower was great - clean, modern, and with ample hooks for hanging kit and clothes. Would stay again!

Just a one night visit as I road tripped from MA to NC. Arrived minutes before the closing efor the office, but it was still staffed - no sneaking out early for these folks! � Staff were friendly and fast, so I was quickly off to my primitive campsite. Campsite was clean - as were all the nearby sites I could see. Table and fire ring were in fine shape. Everything was great.

This was my 2nd time staying here and I’ll be back next time I want to visit Kings Dominion and Busch. Staff is always friendly and they even allowed me to park for the day after checking out so I could use the shuttle and avoid paying to park at Kings Dominion. They were also flexible with my late checkin time and not being able to come by the office the next day! Great people and place.

We enjoyed our stay at king’s Dominion KOA, the tent site provided was great. The facilities on the KOA campground were clean & safe. The staff were helpful, kind, & friendly. I would stay at the king’s Dominion KOA campground again.

We are grandparents that brought our 3 young grandchildren for their first time camping trip. They live near the campground so it was a very short drive. They loved the playground, the ping pong and the bean bag toss and the pool. They eere already talking about coming back next year.

I only stayed one night and spent most of the day at Kings Dominion so I can’t say much about the campground. I seemed to get the worst tent site. The entire site was dirt, rocks, and tree roots. It was hard to find spots where I could hammer in the stakes and bent a couple of them.

Overall it was okay, but our second night there our tent was infested with red ants. We understand being in nature, but it was still unfortunate. We ended up having to find a hotel close by because the campground had no options for us to resolve the issue. So we basically paid for 2 nights, with only being able to actually stay for 1. Maybe do some minor pest control before a scheduled stay?

We enjoyed our stay at the King's Dominion KOA. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. It was convenient to our King's Dominion trip and the kids loved camping. My only complaint would be the street light near our campsite which left our tent very bright at night. Next time, I would request something further from a light.

The staff, facility, and amenities were great. The staff in the camp store was very helpful and welcoming, especially Rosie. Was a great stay overall.

Loved it. Was there for a trip to kings dominion. The cabinet was super cute. It was me, My wife and 4 kids. The older girls got the loft rooms, me and my son hit the futon and my wife and the grand baby took the main bedroom. A/C was super cold. Temp got into the high 90s and we were comfortable..the fire pit was great. We roasted marshmallows and made smokes. Great experience and will do it again

The cabin was very big and spacious and fun. There was a cockroach and so I killed it in the middle of the night and then the next day sprayed the entire cabin with natural bug spray. I also had to clean the floors because they were sticky and gooey and so I swept and mopped with a towel there's a picture of the towel there and how filthy it was. The air conditioner was falling apart and the stairs were dilapidated and needed new carpeting. The air conditioner worked and the bed for the main bedroom was squeaky. The TVs were not smart TVs and just had cable but thankfully I brought my Roku which I was able to connect to the HDMI on the side and watch what I wanted. There was no proper kitchen sitting area but there was a desk with two chairs so that was nice. The kids started at The Loft was fun. My daughter had bugs crawling on her at night. There were wasps outside. The staff was nice and gave us some more towels, but didn't bother to clean the floor even though you could see easily that it was filthy when we arrived. The shower head was very low so for someone 6 ft tall it hit my chest. It was nice that they had two bathrooms but it was very cramped quarters if you wanted to do anything inside of the bathrooms. Not enough room for toiletries up on a little sink. It was very much like staying in a motorhome. There was no stove top or oven. It was also no freezer in the refrigerator. The fridge didn't work nice and there was enough room to make little things like a sandwich or some toasted waffles etc. Little coffee maker worked. There were no cups or spoons or plates or any other utensils or anything that you might need provided. The little Rec Center up by the front was nice and had several games in a pool and a television and chessboard etcetera to play with. The shuttle was continuous and easy to use. No I did mention the downsides I still get of a four because overall it was fun, generally clean, and spacious for a family of four. There were five beds total and it was about 5 minutes away from Kings dominion. It wasn't very convenient for other grocery stores other than a convenience store that was nearby which was way overpriced. It was over 20 minutes round trip to get to a Walmart or Target or publix.

Great accommodations. All bathrooms of the Men's and Unisex gender, were extremely clean. Cleaner than I ever anticipated. Water is hot. They have really high water pressure here, have a regulator handy. I really wish they'd have after hours vending machines of useful things to purchase. Their shop closes at 9pm and Doswell has nothing to offer. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for after hours check-in. We will definitely be back, thank you all for the great experience!!!!
