I came back to my tent at 6 pm and was dismayed to see my tent sitting in a 25 feet diameter pool of water four inches deep. The campground needs improved drainage. There was a culvert running along the tent area, but no water was moving through it - likely plugged. Until the drainage is improved, I would recommend no tent camping here. Even for RV's, there was standing water on their sites.

We loved the beauty of the area, laundry facility, and store. I didn't like the bathrooms. The showers made the floor all wet, even in the bathroom area

The women's bathroom was overflowing and water all over the floor. Toliets were clogged all the time. I dont think it ever got cleaned, the showers were dirty. I have been many times in the past and I never see anyone cleaning the bathrooms but this time around was the worst.

Except the rain like always it’s clean. It was accessible in your staff was very friendly.

The grounds and bathrooms were incredibly clean. At first we were placed in a spot where others were using our electric box and their tents were over on our side. We went to the front desk and they immediately made it right and moved us to another spot.

We had a nice stay. The staff are friendly and the location good for our needs this trip. I would give it 5 stars but the grounds are really showing signs of deferred maintenance. We picked up so much old trash from our campsite. The shower heads don't flow well due to mineral build up and the step into the dog wash is missing a leg. Not great especially considering the site fees.

Overall the campground was nice, it ended up raining when we were there and the tent camp site that we had got really muddy it was like a flooded mud pit so that was disappointing because it left the rest of the trip unpleasant. Also, the pool was over came with dead bugs and when someone asked the guys to skim it they came out and had an attitude about it and was trying to confront people thepool

We loved staying at the Kings Dominion KOA!!! We traditionally do more back country camping, but still felt close to nature while tent camping here. The showers and multiple bathroom locations were very convenient, we loved using the shuttle to get to and from the park, and the grates on the firepits made it so easy to cook meals over the fire. The staff were also friendly and helpful!

Nice clean campground and facility. Bathrooms were clean and had cold AC. The store had all the extras we needed.

Stayed 3 nights. Right at kings dominion. It rained causing most all sites to flood. Bathrooms smelled of sewage and womens shower had no hot water. Arrived to a fire pit filled with old food and flies. Ants everywhere at picnic table.

I've been at Kings Dominion KOA for 3 months now and can say definitively that the staff here is excellent! They're commitment to campers and the condition of the campground is more than I ever expected! From the folks in the office, to the crew that keeps the place safe and clean for campers, everyone is friendly and works diligently to make this campground a wonderful place to visit! Thank you?

Great stop! Just what I needed. Way, way, WAY too expensive to throw up a tent for 10 hours without any other needs.

This is our second time camping here, and we love it! Friendly staff, great amenities, and right next to Kings Dominion!

1) Loved that it was near Kings Dominion and it had a shuttle to Kings Dominion. 2) The KOA store was EXTREMELY expensive. ($5 for a bag of marshmallows?!?!?) We ended up walking to 7-Eleven to get some necessities (and that was way cheaper than the KOA store). 3) Only one shower in the bathroom nearest to us, which was fine as it wasn't busy. 4) Would have liked a hike/trail around the campsite.

I had an enjoyable overnight stay. There was a bright floodlight near the office that was on until around 1 am or so that was a bit of a problem with sleeping.

Beautiful property, lots of area for kids to play, wonderful store with lots of necessities and ice cream! However, part of the primitive camping area has a bright light post over it that will shine through your tent. I’m sure it’s a light to help see to the bathroom but nonetheless isn’t ideal. Otherwise, great campsite.

The staff was very friendly and refunded us part of our stay after our tent broke. They have everything you could need(or forget) in their store and the bathrooms/showers were immaculate. We will definitely be returning, just in a cabin this time! �

stayed at tent spot 22. Price of $70 for a tiny spot and feet from others. Nothing to see, pool closed, and no real breakfast options. What am I paying for? Way to expensive for what?! Only reason I went was because I thought it cost only $40 but to find out the price jumped. I would of canceled but already made a promise to my kiddo. First and last time for that location. Bathrooms were clean.

The cabins here are spectacular. You can literally walk to the park. Cabins are very clean, spacious considering it's a cabin. Watch your head if you're heading to loft area beds. Outdoor table and fire ring. Parking is good. Very clean cabins. I would definitely stay here again.

We had an awesome corner pull thru site. Plenty of grass for the Dogs. Beautiful patio and firepit. Staff was very nice. One minor complaint, while they had trash cans in abundance there were no stations with poop bags. So many of us travel with our Dogs and we had bags, just nice when the campground has them also. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this campground!
