Stay was great but on checkout day I woke abruptly to a hot metallic smell from the furnace vents. We had used it to heat the night before without issue. Tried calling front desk and after hours with no answer. The smell disipated but it was like the furnace fired up for the first time of the season and was burning the dust in the ducts, but we used it the night before as well..

Overall the atmosphere and the staff were great. The rates were reasonable. I would recommend that the cabins are deep cleaned and possibly upgraded furniture. I would recommend and stay again.

The bed in the bedroom was very hard and the springs were very loud when you moved. The television in our cabin in the bedroom turned on by itself. The toilet paper holder in the one bathroom was broken. I actually stayed in the same cabin two years ago and had the same issues. I love the cabin but C5 needs some repairs and replacement.

During the week we stay it was very peaceful and quiet, was able to some much-needed rest. Very comfortable beds, love the shower, staff was very friendly and helpful. Hopefully we will camp there again sometime. First time in a cabin, really enjoy it!!!!

The cabin was very nice for myself and my daughter. We had friends staying at the campground and we needed a place to sleep. The A/C worked great and the showers were nice and warm.

We checked into cabin 33 but the walls were covered in mold. We didn't discover this until 10pm after returning from the park. The late night security was great, we called them and they were able to move us to cabin 18 which did not have any mold issues. Great service by the afterhours staff. However the original cabin should not have been rented.

Very nice people. Cabins need Alot of tlc. Dirty moldy outdoor everything, table,patios,steps. Indoor..lights out,microwave with metal showing inside,broken toilet seats,loose faucet handles,moldy shower curtains, ect ect.. The people were very nice and are not the ones ignoring simple repairs that could easily be done daily. Maybe send a corporate person to look around...would u wanna stay?

Cabin was ok. Very dated for the price. Loose board on the first step that lifted up every time you stepped on it. Found old candy on the floor in the bedroom, some chocolate chips on a shelf in the kitchen and then found a previous guest’s wedding ring on the top of the tub surround of the shower along with a cap to a razor. Needless to say the housekeeping didn’t do a thorough job.

We stayed in cabin 9, first the place was beautiful on the outside, on the inside it needed to be cleaned better, spider webs everywhere and dusty. My biggest concern was when my son went upstairs into the loft, the window at the head of the bed he noticed bugs and spiders, on closer inspection the window was not even closed both latches were open. I check other bed window same thing, not latched.

It was 6 of us; we were there to celebrate my granddaughter's 16th birthday. Everything was good, the staff was nice, the cabin was nice, the campground was quiet & clean even down to the people who stayed on the campground. I definitely will be using KOA again in the future.

The cabin was beautiful and very roomy,loved the pool,store and playground areas..very family friendly.maybe next time there will be a adult only jacuzzi and splash pad area..leave couple big trash bags in cabinets for trash clean up for leaving guests.

Front Desk/Check-in staff: Very welcoming and helpful each if the handful of times me or my entire family came in with questions. Cabin C23: Highly suggest cleaning all HVAC/exhaust/window unit vents to ensure longevity of dwelling and mold preventative maintenance. Dont forget the one under the stairs! It's pretty bad.

Still noticed ants in the deluxe cabin and this happened two years ago when we stayed there. It would also be nice not to charge for an early check in, as the rooms are already expensive enough.

The staff were friendly and helpful. If you needed assistance with anything they took care of everything in a timely fashion. The grounds were maintained and well groomed. The other campers were friendly

This was our first time staying at the little cabins and everyone absolutely loved it. It was clean and everything worked great. My only complaint was the hours of the lodge and swimming pool. Since this location is next to Kings Dominion, you can assume that a good chunk of visitors are coming from there. I would recommend that the KOA pool stay open later than Kings Dominion.

We love the proximity to the park & the shuttle. We were in cabin 25. 2 lights out in bathroom. Bathroom Fan not working. Tp holder broken. Nail sticking up on first step. Moldy shower curtain. Reservation and check in staff was amazing.

Campground was clean. The pool everyday for the 3 days we went had a lot of bugs and debris in it. The cabin we stayed in had a loose toilet seat, couldn’t run the AC while in the cabin because all the air ducts had so much dirt and dust in them it was flying out and my grandson kept sneezing the whole time.

I love this campsite . I have visited 5 years in a row. I would recommend more amenities such as Movies, activities , bike rentals etc. Also small pets should be allowed in some cabins for a fee or deposit. The campsite is EXTREMELY clean and well maintained. I would recommend.

Cabins were clean and comfortable. The second level could be taller but it is fine for children. Towel service daily and staff was very friendly. Wish we would have had more free time to enjoy the amazing looking pool. Would definitely recommend and will be staying there again the next time we visit Kings Dominion which was less than a 2 minute drive down the street.

Will highly recommend. Discount tickets and Shuttle to KD were greatly appreciated and drivers were awesome. Communication provided prior to our stay was prompt and helpful. Our one issue was we only found one blanket and needed 3. And no linens for the futons? Otherwise worked out very well! Thank you.

Convenient location for us to stay with the kids and enjoy Kings Dominion plus the other amenities at the campground. Fit everyone without issues. Only thing missing was a kitchen, but pizza delivery was available so dinner worked out fine.

Convenient, the shuttle to kings dominion was very nice. As was 15% discount for having a season pass. I would of liked softer blankets but the pillows were very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The cabin was amazing! We loved that you could buy Kings Dominion tickets there for a less expensive price and catch the shuttle over to the park! And the staff was very kind! It was a great trip!

The cabins here are spectacular. You can literally walk to the park. Cabins are very clean, spacious considering it's a cabin. Watch your head if you're heading to loft area beds. Outdoor table and fire ring. Parking is good. Very clean cabins. I would definitely stay here again.

We had an awesome corner pull thru site. Plenty of grass for the Dogs. Beautiful patio and firepit. Staff was very nice. One minor complaint, while they had trash cans in abundance there were no stations with poop bags. So many of us travel with our Dogs and we had bags, just nice when the campground has them also. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this campground!
