Was an okay KOA but pull through spots were shorter than expected and difficult to pull into. Very tight pathways throughout the campground.

We had a wonderful stay. We were there for just under 1 week. Laundry room and equipment is clean. There are numerous of attractions nearby. Hubby and I we to the Illuminated Light Show. Awesome!! The staff was very friendly.

I made the reservation directly by phone to Kings Dominion. The man I spoke with was awesome. We had a late check-in so the office was closed. I went the next day to settle payment & the girl was also great. I asked to get propane & the two maintenance men were also amazing. We love staying at Kings Dominion KOA!

Site was way small for a big rig friendly site. Site was difficult to get in and out of with extra cars parked all around it. Site was not clean before our arrival trash from prior guests and fire burning still with plastic odor. Guests beside us were VERY loud all day and night with no respect for others. Worse camping experience even if for 1 night passing through we have ever had.

We stayed 1 night while traveling from NY to FL. Late check in was a breeze and facilities were all excellent.

The bathrooms were never clean the entire time we were there, and the water in the shower was absolutely freezing. All of the toilets were flooded on the floor and no maintenance was ever performed.

We use this campground as an overnight stop when we travel from NY to NC it’s a beautiful park and we wish to stay longer in the future. Very clean park as well

This is one of the best KOA’s on the east coast. Great level concrete sites, roomy, well maintained, great friendly staff, easy on and off I-95. We stay here a lot, traveling north and south from Florida.

We use Kings Dominion KOA twice a year on our return trip from Myrtle Beach to PA. Usually it's quiet and nice place to rest after a long drive pulling the 5th wheel. Not so much this trip, full campground, of course that's what you want but about 3 campsites down from us was a very loud party with extremely loud music with super heavy bass. You think they would have had some respect for others

Very nice campground, people at front desk were very nice and helpful, only drawback was sites were too close together. When we left from a pull through we had to back out because there was no room to make the swing.

We have stayed here at least three times this year and will stay again for convenience. This last stay was a nightmare on our last day (Friday, 21 Nov). You allowed a group to take over the campground with loud music that lasted from noon to well past midnight. My wife and I were unable to work do to the excessive cacophony. You let one day ruin our entire stay. I want a response!

On our way to the Outer Banks from Mid-Ohio. Stayed 1 night. Very nice, clean, easy in & out . 40' MH towing a 4 door Chevy truck with a loaded golf cart. Nice patio, We left the campground at 9 A M , a little slow moving going S on I 95.

Just passing through and the Kings Dominion was closed. Not many people at the campground but we were put into a tight spot right in the middle of the main driveway. They're very close together. Pool and store were nice and staff was very friendly and professional.

The girl that checked us in gave us another site that she thought would accompany us much better. Campground was very clean and nice. Sorry I didn't get the name of the young girl checking us in.

The ladies of the KOA Richmond Campground ROCK! Once we arrived we had very little to no power. My husband had to hook back up and take it back to the RV shop. The ladies gave me a cabin key in case my husband was not able to return during store hours with the camper. We didn't need to use the cabin but it was nice to have the option if we lost power again. This is my favorite KOA!

Our stay was fine, however the sewer hookup for the black tank was very elevated from the ground, making it hard for the draining to take place. This was at spot 109.

Would be a ten except for the train (a staple at Kia campgrounds). Need more bathroom and showers ( only two in our loop). Great people in the office (cash free store)

Loved it. Was there for a trip to kings dominion. The cabinet was super cute. It was me, My wife and 4 kids. The older girls got the loft rooms, me and my son hit the futon and my wife and the grand baby took the main bedroom. A/C was super cold. Temp got into the high 90s and we were comfortable..the fire pit was great. We roasted marshmallows and made smokes. Great experience and will do it again

The cabin was very big and spacious and fun. There was a cockroach and so I killed it in the middle of the night and then the next day sprayed the entire cabin with natural bug spray. I also had to clean the floors because they were sticky and gooey and so I swept and mopped with a towel there's a picture of the towel there and how filthy it was. The air conditioner was falling apart and the stairs were dilapidated and needed new carpeting. The air conditioner worked and the bed for the main bedroom was squeaky. The TVs were not smart TVs and just had cable but thankfully I brought my Roku which I was able to connect to the HDMI on the side and watch what I wanted. There was no proper kitchen sitting area but there was a desk with two chairs so that was nice. The kids started at The Loft was fun. My daughter had bugs crawling on her at night. There were wasps outside. The staff was nice and gave us some more towels, but didn't bother to clean the floor even though you could see easily that it was filthy when we arrived. The shower head was very low so for someone 6 ft tall it hit my chest. It was nice that they had two bathrooms but it was very cramped quarters if you wanted to do anything inside of the bathrooms. Not enough room for toiletries up on a little sink. It was very much like staying in a motorhome. There was no stove top or oven. It was also no freezer in the refrigerator. The fridge didn't work nice and there was enough room to make little things like a sandwich or some toasted waffles etc. Little coffee maker worked. There were no cups or spoons or plates or any other utensils or anything that you might need provided. The little Rec Center up by the front was nice and had several games in a pool and a television and chessboard etcetera to play with. The shuttle was continuous and easy to use. No I did mention the downsides I still get of a four because overall it was fun, generally clean, and spacious for a family of four. There were five beds total and it was about 5 minutes away from Kings dominion. It wasn't very convenient for other grocery stores other than a convenience store that was nearby which was way overpriced. It was over 20 minutes round trip to get to a Walmart or Target or publix.

Great accommodations. All bathrooms of the Men's and Unisex gender, were extremely clean. Cleaner than I ever anticipated. Water is hot. They have really high water pressure here, have a regulator handy. I really wish they'd have after hours vending machines of useful things to purchase. Their shop closes at 9pm and Doswell has nothing to offer. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for after hours check-in. We will definitely be back, thank you all for the great experience!!!!
