Always a nice stay at this location. I will say that some of the workers are not the friendliest as in years past. Still, the campground is clean and quiet.

It was our first time there and we were meeting friends that also have an RV. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They helped find us a location that was open right beside our friend's campsite. The park was very clean and the shuttle to King's Dominion was an added bonus.

We stayed for a week. The restrooms were always clean. I appreciate you picking up the trash each day. I do find it strange that there is no dumpster for bigger things such as boxes and other misshaped items. We ended up sitting them next to our trash and they were picked up. Thank you!

No hot water in bath house near 275. Bathrooms don't match the pictures on website. Need to make quite time by 10 not 11. I called the front dest multiple times to complain about unsupervised young kids yelling and playing through the campgrounds at night. No one from KOA answered, what is the after hours number? Kids were riding motorscooters incredibly fast around our campsite.

Great location to State Fair and Kings Dominion (of course). There is not too much else around with Ashland being the closest place with grocery and needs. The campground was clean and quiet. Some of the RV sites are very close to one another but they are incredibly level for the most part. Staff was friendly and helpful.

First off we love the staff here at this campground. No issues there. Shuttle service is great. My problem is with the lack of bath houses. There is always a wait and because they are overused they tend to get dirty very quickly. For as big as this campground is it desperately needs more bath houses. Also our electrical 20 amp was not working. We had to buy an extension cord to use another hookup.

There are huge, bright streetlights all over the park that ruin the ambiance of camping. The people next to use bought a packing blanket to try to block the light so they could sleep. Our site was really bad with tree roots and hookups on the wrong site (270). Bathrooms were clean and spacious. The ONLY reason to go to this park is if you want to go to Kings Dominion and want to stay overnight

Stayed 5 days there. Was easy to reserve, check in and get into our site. May have been harder if the sites around us were full as we were on a Cudi sac. Have stayed several times there as a stopover on our way south. Easy on and off I 95.

Very nice campground. We camped there to go to the Virginia State Fair and it was only a mile away so that made it very nice. We will be back next year. It is also right beside Kings Dominion and they offer shuffle rides to the park which is wonderful.

I was very impressed with young girl at front desk her name is Aurora. So polite helpful and friendly her hospitality was very warm and welcoming definitely improved my stay there. Actually everyone there was nice but Aurora was tops. I would recommend keeping her and her advancement is recommended. Thank you Aurora I’m so impressed

We always enjoy our stay here. Only thing that turned me off a little is being cashless. By law you have to accept legal tender to pay for goods and services in the United States.

Nice place. Our dogs really enjoyed their walks. Our campsite was not the best. The lights from the pool area were very bright � and shown through our windows. Staff was fairly friendly.

Beautiful setting among the trees. It was very peaceful. Large pool area and various sports areas and playgrounds. Beautiful camp store and super friendly staff. Only minutes from the Virginia State Fair and Kings Dominion. I plan to stay here every time we come for the fair.

Great place, we stop here just about every year on the way to Florida and on the way back. Everyone is so friendly and the campground is clean. VERY easy to get to right off route 95. See you on the way home.

You folks are awesome. Aside from a nice site. Wooded and level. Pull through. Our dog got lost. She was gone all night! We were frantic. Spoke with the staff showed them a picture and they found her! We thought we had covered all the ground. Multiple times. They were all searching. We are forever grateful. THANK YOU. Ps. We stay there alot traveling up and down 95. Always a good experrience

Staff were friendly and helpful, with the store being a nice bonus. We enjoyed our stay for the night- no complaints. All the things for the kids were great! It was the perfect spot to have after a KD visit.

Loved it. Was there for a trip to kings dominion. The cabinet was super cute. It was me, My wife and 4 kids. The older girls got the loft rooms, me and my son hit the futon and my wife and the grand baby took the main bedroom. A/C was super cold. Temp got into the high 90s and we were comfortable..the fire pit was great. We roasted marshmallows and made smokes. Great experience and will do it again

The cabin was very big and spacious and fun. There was a cockroach and so I killed it in the middle of the night and then the next day sprayed the entire cabin with natural bug spray. I also had to clean the floors because they were sticky and gooey and so I swept and mopped with a towel there's a picture of the towel there and how filthy it was. The air conditioner was falling apart and the stairs were dilapidated and needed new carpeting. The air conditioner worked and the bed for the main bedroom was squeaky. The TVs were not smart TVs and just had cable but thankfully I brought my Roku which I was able to connect to the HDMI on the side and watch what I wanted. There was no proper kitchen sitting area but there was a desk with two chairs so that was nice. The kids started at The Loft was fun. My daughter had bugs crawling on her at night. There were wasps outside. The staff was nice and gave us some more towels, but didn't bother to clean the floor even though you could see easily that it was filthy when we arrived. The shower head was very low so for someone 6 ft tall it hit my chest. It was nice that they had two bathrooms but it was very cramped quarters if you wanted to do anything inside of the bathrooms. Not enough room for toiletries up on a little sink. It was very much like staying in a motorhome. There was no stove top or oven. It was also no freezer in the refrigerator. The fridge didn't work nice and there was enough room to make little things like a sandwich or some toasted waffles etc. Little coffee maker worked. There were no cups or spoons or plates or any other utensils or anything that you might need provided. The little Rec Center up by the front was nice and had several games in a pool and a television and chessboard etcetera to play with. The shuttle was continuous and easy to use. No I did mention the downsides I still get of a four because overall it was fun, generally clean, and spacious for a family of four. There were five beds total and it was about 5 minutes away from Kings dominion. It wasn't very convenient for other grocery stores other than a convenience store that was nearby which was way overpriced. It was over 20 minutes round trip to get to a Walmart or Target or publix.

Great accommodations. All bathrooms of the Men's and Unisex gender, were extremely clean. Cleaner than I ever anticipated. Water is hot. They have really high water pressure here, have a regulator handy. I really wish they'd have after hours vending machines of useful things to purchase. Their shop closes at 9pm and Doswell has nothing to offer. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for after hours check-in. We will definitely be back, thank you all for the great experience!!!!
