We were so pleased with our trip. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The cabin was extremely nice and very comfortable, we are looking forward to taking another trip and will definitely stay at the campground again. Thank you all for your hospitality!

The cabin was very nice, clean and really liked to be able to ride over to Kings Dominion and not have to fool with all that parking traffic. We will do this again in the future.

Great stay. Staff were friendly and professional. Cabin was spotless and comfy. Park was clean and quiet. The only drawback was lack of streaming apps on the TV. I'm so glad I stayed here!

We stayed in one of the cabins. They were very large, comfortable and clean. 2 Full bathrooms, 3 TVs. Sheets/Towels/pillows were provided. I note to bring additional blankets

We were in Doswell for State Fair and we did the cabin this year for more room and to be closer. So happy we did. It was a great experience and plenty of room for us. The area is super quiet and family friendly. It’s about the same as a hotel room as far as price with a lot more room and amenities. We will definitely do it again.

The stay was wonderful except for the moth and spiders found by the loft bed. My daughter did not want to sleep there, even after I removed them.

It was wonderful we stayed from Friday till Monday this trip. Saturday was a wash due to the rain, but we had a blast anyhow and KD KOA was the reason.

I had requested cabin C4 when I made the reservation, I was assured that I was locked into that cabin for my stay and that nobody else would be put in it. However, somebody had been moved from C24 to C4 (supposedly because the cable wasn't working in C24) the day before I arrived. I was upset (they even had the noted in the computer about it!). They did comp me one night.

I have stayed in the cabins a few times, the 1 st time the problem was no hot water. This stayed ended up withe the refrigerator, when we arrived we put our food in the fridge, it stopped working some time during the day. We lost food that should have been cold. When we noticed it wasn't working and we had no one to contact. I informed someone in the morning and it seemed like it didn't matter,

we had a wonderful time. The cabins are nice and clean, staff friendly and helpful . I would definitely recommend . One down side is that their 11pm quiet time is strictly enforced so if you want to camp out light nights I would not recommend

Cabin 19 was not properly prepared. Coffe cups, bedding top sheet nor blanket was provided for the two beds upstairs. Cabin had a musty smell and we had to use our air fresheners. Description should state that cutlery, plates, bowls, dishes, and grill spatula or tongs are not provided.

Everyone we talked to on the campground was super helpful and friendly. We went for my friend's bachelorette trip to Kings Dominion and we had a great time in our cabin!!

Cabin was extremely dirty, sticky countertops, dead bugs eveywhere, very musty and uncomfortable. No freezer. Plan on different accommodations for next visit.

It was our 1st time staying at the KOA Doswell. Our little group had a wonderful time. We even had the chance to make "Smores" over the firepit. We look forward to coming back next year.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had storms during our stay and lost power one evening. It was unclear what was going on and the office closed (understandable) and it would have been helpful if there was some type of communication to advise us what was going on.

We were a group of 38 ranging in age from 2 yr to 77 y/0 traveling from NH, Texas, California, Florida and Kanas for our niece’s wedding. We had a blast being together, we rented 7 cabins and 1 RV site. We enjoyed the pool, which it could have been open for longer hours. The cabins were clean, staying in the loft was challenging for some but we just joke about it. The staff was friendly

Very convenient and accommodating. Only stayed one night in the cabin. We needed a rest and it worked out perfect. The ladies at the store desk were very knowledgeable about the area and very polite and professional.

We had a family reunion of sorts while attending a family wedding!! The cabins are great, spacious and clean and the staff replaces towels, etc as needed. Trash is picked up every 2 hrs, 24/7! Staff is friendly and helpful! Better than we could have dreamed!

Everything was great. The only suggestion would be to ensure the shuttle bus pickups from Kings Dominion are on time especially on heat advisory days.

Really wish the pool had been open a bit later. We went to Kings Dominion it closed at 8 came back and couldn’t swim.

Nice stay, but the cabin could have been a bit cleaner. There was a considerable amount of ants in one of the loft beds, and some other large crawlers during the 2 nights. Otherwise, things were great.

After a long day at kings Dominion , couldn't wait to get to the cabin and jump in the shower ! When we arrived I was preparing showers for my children first and seen a ton of hair in the shower !!! Both showers like they were not even cleaned !!! Looked like long hairs and genital hair !!! Needless to say it totally grossed me out !!!!! Apparently they did not even clean the showers !!!!

We stayed in a cabin. It was clean and spacious. Staff offered us towels and supplies to be restocked each day and were very kind! We enjoyed using the playground and pool. The location cannot be beat for access to King's Dominion and made it easy to come and go from the park throughout our stay. We'll definitely be back!

We had a few little quirks with our cabin. Like the toilet seat came fell off, and we had 2 remotes for 4 TV's, and one of the bed side lights were out. Nothing major and we loved our stay. We can't wait to come stay again!

Enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion is that more lighting is needed. At night it’s hard to see. Very dark around the streets. Once at the cabin area it’s ok but very dark on the streets.

Units are dated and in need of replacement or repair(soft floor/uneven floor) overall better cleaning practices. We had a very pleasant stay, updating the rental units and better cleaning would make the property exceptional.

Our cabin was very clean and had everything promised. The shuttle to the park was a great bonus, however the driver of the shuttle (I wish I had gotten his name) was our ray of sunshine. His kindness and joy made us all feel so welcome and happy! :)

Ants and spiders all over! In the beds and under the pillows!! I will say checking in and out super easy. But I had 3 kids with me scared to death of spiders crawling on them in bed.

Staff was friendly and flexible. Maybe I missed it but I was not aware after hours check-in was just the room key placed in an unlocked box - that could get dangerous. The cabin itself was pretty clean. All of the windows were unlocked when I arrived, which made me feel uneasy after arriving late with children. The grounds were clean and had nice amenities for the kids.

Loved it. Was there for a trip to kings dominion. The cabinet was super cute. It was me, My wife and 4 kids. The older girls got the loft rooms, me and my son hit the futon and my wife and the grand baby took the main bedroom. A/C was super cold. Temp got into the high 90s and we were comfortable..the fire pit was great. We roasted marshmallows and made smokes. Great experience and will do it again

The cabin was very big and spacious and fun. There was a cockroach and so I killed it in the middle of the night and then the next day sprayed the entire cabin with natural bug spray. I also had to clean the floors because they were sticky and gooey and so I swept and mopped with a towel there's a picture of the towel there and how filthy it was. The air conditioner was falling apart and the stairs were dilapidated and needed new carpeting. The air conditioner worked and the bed for the main bedroom was squeaky. The TVs were not smart TVs and just had cable but thankfully I brought my Roku which I was able to connect to the HDMI on the side and watch what I wanted. There was no proper kitchen sitting area but there was a desk with two chairs so that was nice. The kids started at The Loft was fun. My daughter had bugs crawling on her at night. There were wasps outside. The staff was nice and gave us some more towels, but didn't bother to clean the floor even though you could see easily that it was filthy when we arrived. The shower head was very low so for someone 6 ft tall it hit my chest. It was nice that they had two bathrooms but it was very cramped quarters if you wanted to do anything inside of the bathrooms. Not enough room for toiletries up on a little sink. It was very much like staying in a motorhome. There was no stove top or oven. It was also no freezer in the refrigerator. The fridge didn't work nice and there was enough room to make little things like a sandwich or some toasted waffles etc. Little coffee maker worked. There were no cups or spoons or plates or any other utensils or anything that you might need provided. The little Rec Center up by the front was nice and had several games in a pool and a television and chessboard etcetera to play with. The shuttle was continuous and easy to use. No I did mention the downsides I still get of a four because overall it was fun, generally clean, and spacious for a family of four. There were five beds total and it was about 5 minutes away from Kings dominion. It wasn't very convenient for other grocery stores other than a convenience store that was nearby which was way overpriced. It was over 20 minutes round trip to get to a Walmart or Target or publix.

Great accommodations. All bathrooms of the Men's and Unisex gender, were extremely clean. Cleaner than I ever anticipated. Water is hot. They have really high water pressure here, have a regulator handy. I really wish they'd have after hours vending machines of useful things to purchase. Their shop closes at 9pm and Doswell has nothing to offer. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for after hours check-in. We will definitely be back, thank you all for the great experience!!!!
