Our stay was ruined by a loud and continuous private festival being held in the campground. Loud thumping music could be heard at my campsite, nearly half a mile away. The music went right up until quiet time, at 11 p.m., well past my children's bedtime. The private party was given run of the park with little concern for other campers. KOA could have informed about the private event when booking.

There was a festival in the camp ground and lasted after 11pm very noisy we could not sleep nothing was said about it on koa website. Our passed visits where fine.

I had an enjoyable overnight stay. There was a bright floodlight near the office that was on until around 1 am or so that was a bit of a problem with sleeping.

Good location nice campground but stay was poor due to onsite festival with very loud music playing until 11 pm. We just wanted somewhere quiet to stop and sleep on a long road trip. KOA should have advised us about festival at time Of Booking

Was loving this park so much on Wednesday and Thursday nights, then Friday came , they had some sort of festival, no big deal , we weren’t going, then the horrible thumping loud obnoxious hideous music , so went to ask office when that would be over around 9 pm , they said 11 pm ?! Wtf , people are driving expensive rigs , we were all ready to pull out in the am , huge mistake! No music past 9 p

Great location for a quick overnight stay. Staff is friendly, facilities are clean, and there is a lot to do if you stay for more than a few days.

I am a 40’rv pulling a car. I was unable to access the site offered as the adjacent site had a pickup sticking out of the site. I called the office and was placed on hold for a long period of time. I finally hung up and called back. I was just stopped waiting for help with another site. It seemed nobody cared and the people answering the phone did not have the capability to assist. Very bad.

One of the best KOA's we've been to. It was a great stop on our way home, Very easy access to and from route 95. beautifully kept campground.

We like the campground, it's big rig friendly, pet friendly and easy one & off the highway with a rest stop. The con - they need security. After driving all day we arrived to eggs for another campers egg hunt all over our campsite, people constantly cutting through our site even with our dogs and another campers dogs barked from 4 pm to 10 pm.

Everything we needed was right in our cabin. My kids enjoyed the outside areas. Wi definitely recommend and stay again.

First off the bathrooms was not clean they needed sweeping and people complained about the music during regular hours the staff should have told them it’s not quiet time yet and again the cabin wasn’t that clean at all

You advertise this campground as big rig friendly which it is not. Everyone large unit I saw come in had a very difficult time getting in and out. My truck with my Rv attached is 58’ long. I filled my site from yellow line to yellow line and was unable to get out the designed way because the site next to my was filled line to line. I would not recommend bringing a 36’ plus unit in here.

We had a great visit. It was our very first time camping with our new RV. The staff was very curtious and kind. Bathrooms clean all the time. Grounds well maintained. Camp store well stocked ,clean and welcoming. Didn’t see inside a cabin but very cute and well maintained on the outside. Trash pick up every morning at your site. Would definitely go back.

Very nice & clean KOA. Office staff is friendly, personable & helpful. We had a pull through with concrete pad & a so called dog area. It was very quiet & peaceful & a good rest here.Hookups all worked perfectly &water pressure was very good. PRicing was reasonable. Bathrooms were very clean & well kept. Our dog area was bare dirt & our site didn’t have a trash can like every other site.

Nobody to guide you to site. People were driving around looking for their site. We were able to find ours with no trouble

This trip we stayed in spot #195 and really like the size and that is so secluded from any other surrounding sites. However, we did have some trouble to get our RV level as this site does have quite a drop off front to back and there are humps on the drive. It would be a perfect site if it could be smoothed over and leveled out some. thanks, Charles

It was a little tight for the 6 of us. Employees were helpful and pleasant. Cabin was neat and clean. Refrigerator could have been a bit larger. Boards on the wooden steps and landing were loose. We had a good time and would stay again.

Loved it. Was there for a trip to kings dominion. The cabinet was super cute. It was me, My wife and 4 kids. The older girls got the loft rooms, me and my son hit the futon and my wife and the grand baby took the main bedroom. A/C was super cold. Temp got into the high 90s and we were comfortable..the fire pit was great. We roasted marshmallows and made smokes. Great experience and will do it again

The cabin was very big and spacious and fun. There was a cockroach and so I killed it in the middle of the night and then the next day sprayed the entire cabin with natural bug spray. I also had to clean the floors because they were sticky and gooey and so I swept and mopped with a towel there's a picture of the towel there and how filthy it was. The air conditioner was falling apart and the stairs were dilapidated and needed new carpeting. The air conditioner worked and the bed for the main bedroom was squeaky. The TVs were not smart TVs and just had cable but thankfully I brought my Roku which I was able to connect to the HDMI on the side and watch what I wanted. There was no proper kitchen sitting area but there was a desk with two chairs so that was nice. The kids started at The Loft was fun. My daughter had bugs crawling on her at night. There were wasps outside. The staff was nice and gave us some more towels, but didn't bother to clean the floor even though you could see easily that it was filthy when we arrived. The shower head was very low so for someone 6 ft tall it hit my chest. It was nice that they had two bathrooms but it was very cramped quarters if you wanted to do anything inside of the bathrooms. Not enough room for toiletries up on a little sink. It was very much like staying in a motorhome. There was no stove top or oven. It was also no freezer in the refrigerator. The fridge didn't work nice and there was enough room to make little things like a sandwich or some toasted waffles etc. Little coffee maker worked. There were no cups or spoons or plates or any other utensils or anything that you might need provided. The little Rec Center up by the front was nice and had several games in a pool and a television and chessboard etcetera to play with. The shuttle was continuous and easy to use. No I did mention the downsides I still get of a four because overall it was fun, generally clean, and spacious for a family of four. There were five beds total and it was about 5 minutes away from Kings dominion. It wasn't very convenient for other grocery stores other than a convenience store that was nearby which was way overpriced. It was over 20 minutes round trip to get to a Walmart or Target or publix.

Great accommodations. All bathrooms of the Men's and Unisex gender, were extremely clean. Cleaner than I ever anticipated. Water is hot. They have really high water pressure here, have a regulator handy. I really wish they'd have after hours vending machines of useful things to purchase. Their shop closes at 9pm and Doswell has nothing to offer. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for after hours check-in. We will definitely be back, thank you all for the great experience!!!!
