my reservation was "full hook up on a SUPER SITE". In fact I got site 195, no concrete base, a large tree on the right side at the entrance so very difficult for a 34 feet long RV pulling a 20 feet vehicle. Finally I was able to park by passing thru the site beside which was empty luckyly. Not a great experience after a long day on the road.

The employees were very nice and helpful and the cabins were very clean and cute (except the futons should be replaced), it was a fun place to stay. Having 2 bathrooms was great and the water pressure was nice and strong. I would recommend it for families with children.

My family and I stayed in a cabin. It was clean and we had everything we needed. We do wish that the cabin had a screen door. That would make it even better!

From when we pulled in and registered till the time we left , we had a great time. All employees were friendly and helpful ,the site was mostly level and the hookup was convenient. The sites were somewhat close but not bad . The Grand kids loved the pool and the life size checkers. Pool was clean and organized as were the bathrooms. The shuttle bus into Kings Dominion was easy to use.

Great park right next to Kings Dominion. Very wooded, lots of shade. Staff is excellent the pool is huge. Great stay.

Stayed in one of the cabins. It was perfect for the 5 of us. The cabin was clean and more roomy than expected. Daily linin service was a plus. The staff were very accommodating. We spent most of our time at Kings Dominion so we didn't get to use the pool. Would maybe suggest keeping the pool open til 10.

The staff, facility, and amenities were great. The staff in the camp store was very helpful and welcoming, especially Rosie. Was a great stay overall.

The $83.00 site we paid far less than what we got. The site was very unleveled, hook-ups were awkwardly placed which made it a challenge to actually hookup our RV. Cable TV was useless.

Wonderful time, great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Peaceful. The shuttle to and from the park is a huge plus.

Pretty area, close to KD, shuttle very nice, good camp store; prices high. The RV sites were close to each other and the gravel was rough on the feet. Employees were friendly and helpful. Pool very nice, except after storm. Pool needed cleaned, grounds person came skimmed it a little, acted like he was annoyed. He did not clean area around Pool, so everyone kept knocking debris back in pool.

Great location if traveling through and need a night to take a break. The pool was absolutely gross and when you go into the store it’s very confusing who to talk to. The campsites are extremely tight.

We are fairly new to the camping experiience and decided to join KOA club and haven't been disappointed! This campground is BEAUTIFUL with a lot of trees!! Bathrooms are clean and comfortable and FREE of charge! Staff is super friendly and kind and helpful. They offer a shuttle to the park and do daily trash pickup for our convenience. We LOVED it and are definitely returning! 5 STARS!

We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2025. I appreciated the trees which a lot of private campgrounds don't have. One comment would be the electric and water hookups at our site (203). The hookup was on the right of our camper which means we had to run the power cord, water hose, and cable underneath the camper. It was weird, but it worked out. Our neighbor ended up having to change sites though

Very nice campground and the sites all seemed spacious. Bathrooms were well maintained, nice camp store with essentials. Only complaint is the distance on some of the sites to the electric and water hookups.

The staff was very helpful and understanding when we broke down in their driveway. Can’t say enough about the staff-everyone of them! They went above and beyond!

Wonderful front office staff that were friendly and I got a warm greeting. Sites are great, bathhouse is lovely. Cashless washer and dryer were easy to use and understand the QR code and app.

Was able to make a last minute booking due to a change in travel plans. Customer service was friendly/helpful. The campground was clean and well cared for. We arrived and our welcome package gave us clear directions to our spot.

We stayed in a deluxe lodge with deluxe patio and it was amazing we loved it. It would be very helpful if they supplied some kitchen utensils and plates. This is the only koa that we have ever seen with nothing in the kitchen at all.

Enjoyable stay. The campground was clean and the sites were nice. My only complaint would be that there was no grass on the site and with rain it made a muddy mess.

Loved it. Was there for a trip to kings dominion. The cabinet was super cute. It was me, My wife and 4 kids. The older girls got the loft rooms, me and my son hit the futon and my wife and the grand baby took the main bedroom. A/C was super cold. Temp got into the high 90s and we were comfortable..the fire pit was great. We roasted marshmallows and made smokes. Great experience and will do it again

The cabin was very big and spacious and fun. There was a cockroach and so I killed it in the middle of the night and then the next day sprayed the entire cabin with natural bug spray. I also had to clean the floors because they were sticky and gooey and so I swept and mopped with a towel there's a picture of the towel there and how filthy it was. The air conditioner was falling apart and the stairs were dilapidated and needed new carpeting. The air conditioner worked and the bed for the main bedroom was squeaky. The TVs were not smart TVs and just had cable but thankfully I brought my Roku which I was able to connect to the HDMI on the side and watch what I wanted. There was no proper kitchen sitting area but there was a desk with two chairs so that was nice. The kids started at The Loft was fun. My daughter had bugs crawling on her at night. There were wasps outside. The staff was nice and gave us some more towels, but didn't bother to clean the floor even though you could see easily that it was filthy when we arrived. The shower head was very low so for someone 6 ft tall it hit my chest. It was nice that they had two bathrooms but it was very cramped quarters if you wanted to do anything inside of the bathrooms. Not enough room for toiletries up on a little sink. It was very much like staying in a motorhome. There was no stove top or oven. It was also no freezer in the refrigerator. The fridge didn't work nice and there was enough room to make little things like a sandwich or some toasted waffles etc. Little coffee maker worked. There were no cups or spoons or plates or any other utensils or anything that you might need provided. The little Rec Center up by the front was nice and had several games in a pool and a television and chessboard etcetera to play with. The shuttle was continuous and easy to use. No I did mention the downsides I still get of a four because overall it was fun, generally clean, and spacious for a family of four. There were five beds total and it was about 5 minutes away from Kings dominion. It wasn't very convenient for other grocery stores other than a convenience store that was nearby which was way overpriced. It was over 20 minutes round trip to get to a Walmart or Target or publix.

Great accommodations. All bathrooms of the Men's and Unisex gender, were extremely clean. Cleaner than I ever anticipated. Water is hot. They have really high water pressure here, have a regulator handy. I really wish they'd have after hours vending machines of useful things to purchase. Their shop closes at 9pm and Doswell has nothing to offer. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for after hours check-in. We will definitely be back, thank you all for the great experience!!!!
