This is a good layover spot for us traveling to North Carolina. We have also stayed and visited Kings Dominion. It is very nice, clean...the only thing I do not like is the no cash policy. If I want a $3 item it has to go on my credit card! Even doing laundry has to be done with your card or one you get there. I don't understand it cash is so much easier!

Cabin was okay. We had ants crawling around the cabin, they got us traps the first morning. Shower curtain was moldy and entirely too long for the shower. Stepping on it during showers was kinda gross. Also, my 6'2 husband had to duck in doorways and in the shower so he didn't hit his head. I know these are minor things, and we really did have a good stay, but we have stayed in better cabins.

This is a really nice park. We enjoyed this park and camped here for 4 days. The park is conveniently located, clean, quiet and easy in and out.

The pool was NASTY - full of dirt and debris. There is absolutely no reason to have the pool that dirty. The WIFI didn't work well enough to even get email. Don't advertise it if it doesn't work well. The camp sites are way too close together. The picnic tables and fire rings are seriously only 10 feet apart. You are literally sharing camping space with other campers.

The space was entirely too tight for backing in. Several trees in the way. The bathrooms were not clean. The pool was so dirty that we only went once and started maybe 20 minutes. Will not return to this one and it was our first time.

The stay was amazingly great. The cabins and campground were very nice. My only issues were tons of ants. Also it should be stated low toilets and high tub. Extremely painful for people with back & knee pain. Also larger refrigerators and microwaves would be perfect. We had to throw away food due to lack of storage space.

We enjoyed another visit at Kings Dominion KOA! As usual we loved the pool and shuttle to KD and had some lovely drivers. We had electrical trouble at our box and the maintenance crew was very helpful and we figured out the issue. One thing to be addressed would be the 2 showers by the tent sites. The curtain needs replaced and some areas more attention. Other than that 5 stars and plan to return!

This wasn't a pleasant visit. The laundry room was down , there wasn't covers for futon sleepers as we told the office and wasn't giving any.tge shuttle to park was never on time, hour long waits at times, the propane ran out after one grill and was never giving another after asking, no one came for days to get towels had to flag down a worker to ask for new towels. Full refund desired left early

I called the week of our reservation to see if we could arrive one day earlier & was told no there was not anything available. When I received the welcome text & asked about arriving a day early it was available. Disappointed that the camp store only had 2 options (pretzel or nachos) for already made snacks..

Easy to get to off the interstate. Nice pull thru level concrete site. A little close to our neighbors making it hard for both of us to dump and hitch up at the same time on Sunday. Otherwise fine. Nice pool.

Stayed for two nights. Sites were great with plenty of room pool was great. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay at the KOA again.

We were given site 269. The site was pretty much a dirt site hardly any gravel tree roots sticking up to trip on everywhere. The campers on either side of us had definitely been there a long time, so I dont know if we were put in an employee area. The site was not policedat all after the last tenant, as there was trash and a broken tail light still there. Was definitely disappointed with our stay.

They are cute little cabins but y’all’s housekeeping was a joke. All of windows were left open so the place was hot and full of flies, one of the 2 bathrooms had no toilet paper, the shower curtains appeared to be either be moldy or covered in dead bugs and the place just felt dirty like all the did was change sheets and leave. One of the bathroom doors was off track so it was a pain to use

Site was ok. Water pressure was too high. Kamp K9 area was not well kept. There was dog poop that others had not picked up so it was unsanitary. It was also very full of mosquitoes attacking us. Perhaps a little mosquito treatment and poop scooping for the times when irresponsible pet owners don’t do the right thing. After a long rode in the car the pups wanted to run and couldn’t.

We had a good time at the camp ground and 4 days at kings dominion. The shuttle was a life saver never waiting long to ride back and there. Bathrooms were super clean. Really enjoyed it. Will be back

We stayed in a camping cabin and everything was just perfect! It was clean and comfortable. The staff was really nice and we all really enjoyed the pool. I would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and seemingly well managed KOA. Located right next to the park with shuttle service to get you back and forth. Nice pool to cool off in while at the campground. The only slight downside would be some highway noise and an occasional train. Plenty of space to walk your dog!

We have never stayed at a Campground before & this experience went above & beyond our expectations! From my first phone call to inquire about availability to checking out, every single employee was pleasant, courteous and very helpful. We rented a Deluxe Cabin for 4 adults & 3 children. It was clean and well maintained. The Playground is spacious and the Pool is exceptionally large. Returning!

3 grands along with their Mom, and I brought along my 1 great grand. We enjoyed the space of the cabin, outdoors, location to the amusement park and other resources available within a 15 minute drive. Our time there was short, we do intend to return next year for a much longer stay. These kids loved the loft living lifestyle so much.

Stayed in a cabin with 5 kids—surprisingly roomy and comfy! It wasn’t spotless (dusty fans, spider webs), but hey, it’s a cabin, not a resort. The pool was a perfect bonus to let the kids burn off energy before the road. Overall, a great family stop and I’d definitely stay again. ������

Cabin that was chosen for us wasn’t in an ideal location. The privacy lacked in the one we got stuck with. Over all though, great campground and excellent staff. Can’t wait to come back!

First time there. Beautiful campground and pool. Site was exactly as described, perfectly level, easy in and out the next morning, which isn’t always the case at other campgrounds. Great customer service in store! Only improvement, main shower at pool was dirty and multiple pairs of underwear left on the floor! Needs more checking during heavy use days.

Loved it. Was there for a trip to kings dominion. The cabinet was super cute. It was me, My wife and 4 kids. The older girls got the loft rooms, me and my son hit the futon and my wife and the grand baby took the main bedroom. A/C was super cold. Temp got into the high 90s and we were comfortable..the fire pit was great. We roasted marshmallows and made smokes. Great experience and will do it again

The cabin was very big and spacious and fun. There was a cockroach and so I killed it in the middle of the night and then the next day sprayed the entire cabin with natural bug spray. I also had to clean the floors because they were sticky and gooey and so I swept and mopped with a towel there's a picture of the towel there and how filthy it was. The air conditioner was falling apart and the stairs were dilapidated and needed new carpeting. The air conditioner worked and the bed for the main bedroom was squeaky. The TVs were not smart TVs and just had cable but thankfully I brought my Roku which I was able to connect to the HDMI on the side and watch what I wanted. There was no proper kitchen sitting area but there was a desk with two chairs so that was nice. The kids started at The Loft was fun. My daughter had bugs crawling on her at night. There were wasps outside. The staff was nice and gave us some more towels, but didn't bother to clean the floor even though you could see easily that it was filthy when we arrived. The shower head was very low so for someone 6 ft tall it hit my chest. It was nice that they had two bathrooms but it was very cramped quarters if you wanted to do anything inside of the bathrooms. Not enough room for toiletries up on a little sink. It was very much like staying in a motorhome. There was no stove top or oven. It was also no freezer in the refrigerator. The fridge didn't work nice and there was enough room to make little things like a sandwich or some toasted waffles etc. Little coffee maker worked. There were no cups or spoons or plates or any other utensils or anything that you might need provided. The little Rec Center up by the front was nice and had several games in a pool and a television and chessboard etcetera to play with. The shuttle was continuous and easy to use. No I did mention the downsides I still get of a four because overall it was fun, generally clean, and spacious for a family of four. There were five beds total and it was about 5 minutes away from Kings dominion. It wasn't very convenient for other grocery stores other than a convenience store that was nearby which was way overpriced. It was over 20 minutes round trip to get to a Walmart or Target or publix.

Great accommodations. All bathrooms of the Men's and Unisex gender, were extremely clean. Cleaner than I ever anticipated. Water is hot. They have really high water pressure here, have a regulator handy. I really wish they'd have after hours vending machines of useful things to purchase. Their shop closes at 9pm and Doswell has nothing to offer. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for after hours check-in. We will definitely be back, thank you all for the great experience!!!!
