Overall stay was nice. Great proximity to Kings Dominion and awesome that they provided a shuttle back and forth to the campground. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Campground was clean and even though it was noisy til quiet time, it was what I expected being next to an amusement park. There wasn't any drunkenness or pot smoking that I could tell it was just busy with families having a good time. RV sites were on top of one another and the jack and Jill hookups I could do without. My water and power had to snake under my camper making it awkward to mve around

We were given a camp site with the sewer drain located at the campsite next to us. The KOA office said they were aware about it however we would have to purchase not one but two more lines to reach the valve. Inconvenient and more costly because of that. Due to the line stretching so long and the festival they hosted that weekend people walked all over it and broke it in two places.

We stayed in a cabin - really nice and clean. Only downside is the amount of cups and coffee supplied and the cabin gets REALY cold at night. It does not make sense how the cabin caters for 10people yet there weren't even enough coffee or cups for 2 for.

Friendly staff. Cabin was clean. Hot water very welcome for showers. Great that linen and towels provided. An awesome weekend. Will be back again next year!

We had a great time and were very impressed by the facilities at this campground. The one and only negative was the lack of accountability enforced by after hours security when nearby campers were blasting music and yelling profanities until 4am and started back up at 7am. Needless to say very little sleep was had that night and we were very disappointed in the way the situation was handled.

Lovely staff with great welcoming attitudes. Bathrooms always impeccably clean. Grounds are well maintained and store has all you need.

There was a festival going on. Music didn't end till after 11pm. Also, most campgrounds have quiet hours from 10pm - 8am. This camp is 11p-7a.

We had a great stay at KOA Kings Dominion. The park is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We'll be staying there again for sure.

High water pressure blew water line. Didn’t use water restriction but should have. Arrived late and would have used restriction if there had been a caution sign at late check-in station.

Need better signage for entering the buddy sites. Our pad was too short, probably because it was not angled enough. Other sites seem to accommodate bigger rigs, but not clear on site map.

The electric on the spot we had was insufficient to run my refrigerator. The spot was not big enough for camper and truck. There were roots every where and where we had to set up the camper was on the bank and very high off the ground. We will not be visiting your campground again.

We love going there. We come up all the time. But I will say it's now getting pricey to stay. We live in Virginia Beach and have season passes to Kings Dominion Park. This is the first time it happen to us we got tgere before 12 and they charged us $25.00 more. We cam a little earlier because the park was only open at 11 am to 6 pm. The bad part was tge campground was empty.

Instead of a pergola outside, you should have some sort of roof. If it rains, we have no way of cooking. You don’t have any way to cook inside, so your only option is a grill or campfire. No one wants to grill in the rain. If your pergola was a solid roof, you could cook under it.

Our site was a cramped mud pit. 16 tents in nice paved RV spots partied all hours of the night with no KOA oversight. Only 4 showers for 165 sites and they were never clean during our 4 day stay. No one ever cleaned up sticks after thunderstorms. No maintenance. Trash cans overflowing.

polite staff/ close to the Kings Dominion theme park, shaded lots, nice setting...We didn't stay long enough to use facilities, but what we saw seemed nice.

The campground is very well maintained, pretty grounds. Our main complaint was the campste we were placed on. It was a buddy site and the the RV that was next to us was so close that we could have literally opened our windows and touched each other. With sides extended there was less than a foot separation. It was dangerous to use the fire ring facing our other side. Too close.

Only complaint water hookup was leaking causing not enough water to go to camper and have enough pressure. Overall fantastic place we’ve stayed many times and will stay again.

The park was nice enough but a large group of campers in tents continued to be very loud both voices and profane music long after dark. I’ve not experienced this before in any KOA. I feel someone should have done something about this. I have always had good experiences with KOA’s as well as most other campgrounds honestly but if this is an example of what is tolerated, I would not return.

We stayed in the cabins. I rented 3 cabins for me and my crew as we were catering a VIP Virginia Forestry Cocktail party at the nearby Meadow Event Park. So it was lovely to have a fire pit with the crew in the evenings and cook on the grill for them. It provided a much nicer social and rest time for us than is I put them up in a hotel.thanks you!!

The staff were wonderful when I called to reserve and when we got to the park right at closing time. One concern was the people across from us were loud after quiet hours.

We just spent the weekend here and overall had a nice experience. This review is based on our stay in the 30 amp back in sites at the front of the campground. PROS: Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, trash pick up at site Nice woodsy feel in parts of the campground Pool and playground looked nice Fenced in dog area and "dog bath" at shower house Close proximity to I95 and Kings Dominion (with free shuttle) CONS: Some gravel RV sites very uneven, we were fortunate to have a decent site although hard to back in due to all the trees, narrow drive, other sites around us were not as good. Super bright lights are turned on at night toward front of campground which takes away from the "camping" feel. Lack of hot water in shower! Another unusual thing is that there was a huge event going on at the campground over the weekend with LOUD music blaring until 11 PM - I doubt this is a regular thing but would have been nice to know about ahead of time. In a nutshell - if you want a convenient place to stop overnight off 95 or want a family friendly place to stay to enjoy Kings Dominion, this is the place for you. I would stay here again if I was in the area for something specific.

If you get a chance rent KOA cabin was very pleased. Went to Rodeo. This is a camp 🏕 ground.

We stayed in a cabin for two nights and would 100% recommend!! We had seven people between two families and the accommodations were PERFECT. I cannot stress how clean it was…even when I pulled one of the futons out from the wall to make it into a bed, the floor under and behind it was spotless! Amazing! The public bathrooms were also immaculate. We stayed here for two nights with the express purpose of going to King's Dominion and greatly appreciated the shuttle. The kids enjoyed the playground and ball rentals a few times. Overall, 10/10!
