First off, I love this place. I love the quaintness and views of the matagorda bay. The cabin I stayed in was super cute and the staff very friendly. The only complaint I have is the mattress was very uncomfortable. I don’t know if all the cabins have the same mattresses but it almost felt like an air mattress. I would have given it 10 stars if not for the fact that my husband and I did not slee

Beautiful site but very few attendants. Some very trashy sites next to the store. Waterfront sites are great!

With exception to the few days of infestation of “love bugs” flies, we had a great time! Friendly staff, well-stocked store and good fishing and crabbing. My dogs loved the Kamp K9 and riding in the golf carts.

It was ok…would of liked to pick our site….golf carts running through the park after 10:30 were annoying….Staff was great, camp was clean. We probably should of tried to move to a site with evening shade.

This campsite is great. We stayed in a deluxe cabin it was really new and super clean. They had nice restrooms, beach area, pool, and pier. My boys and their friends caught several fish off the pier. Their customer service was fantastic! I highly recommend this place.

My family and I love the Port Lavaca/Matagorda Bay KOA! So many things to keep the kids entertained and all the staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are very well maintained and the spots are beautiful. We will continue to book every chance we get.

This was our second time visiting. We love the campground. The staff is super friendly, the campground is well maintained and clean, and there are plenty of amenities and activities for the whole family. We will definitely be back!

Just needs a bigger pool area for the adults!! Biggest complaint is not being able to book a spot through the office. Had to book through reservation center, could not pick spot, unless you pay $25 extra !?? Who charges extra to pick your own spot?? DO NOT agree with that!

Rented the yurt and on arrival they told us the electricity was not working. immediately upgraded us to a deluxe cabin! Thank you! They allowed us to visit the yurt because it would have been a totally new experience. I only suggestion find a way to have a bathroom attached. Great campsite! This site was an all-in-one vacation stop, there was too much to do, we'll have to come back to get to experience it all. The staff was friendly, helpful, and executed a bunch of activities for the whole family. The only downside was the frequent wind coming off the bay but it certainly kept the temperature mild, even during this scorcher of a weekend at the end of May.

This is by far the best place we have stayed. We have only been RVing for 3 years but we have been to quite a few campgrounds and this was the cleanest, easiest to use and friendliest staff we have visited. All the sites are level. All of the hookups are easy to use and fire rings and picknick tables everywhere. We will DEFINITELY be visiting often. Thanks for a great stay. Rb

The staff was friendly and helpful. The KOA was clean and had plenty of activities for families to enjoy. I love that the RV sites and most areas of the KOA was pet friendly. I have already told my family we will plan a trip together to enjoy a fun filled weekend by the bay.

We enjoyed our stay at the port Lavaca Koa. Missy and Bailey were awesome and were able to answer any concerns or questions we had. This KOA is extremely clean and well cared for. We enjoyed this stay and we have booked our next stay and we can't wait to return!

What a nice campground! You can tell it’s new (3 years) Very clean, such friendly, helpful staff. Pizza was tasty, shop was well stocked with possibly forgotten weekend necessities. Loved the happy hour wine & cheese night! Fishing piers nice, complete with cleaning station. Hopefully their long range plans include a light (for night fishing). The cabins were new and spotless! Woke up to ocean view was absolutely beautiful! All staff were very friendly and made us feel at home on our short family vacation. The small convenience store has everything you could need last minute even beer! And if not H�E�B and Walmart are only a short 18 minute drive away. We enjoyed how secluded this location was, we are coming back next year! Thanks K

We were in Site# 300. The check in was at 1pm and Check out is at 11am. We had Full hook- up with a gravel/pull-through. We travel towing a 14 foot trailer and were able to fit both in our pull through site along with my jeep. The site was easy to level. Our site was not shaded and was without trees. This was a larger sized lot with our neighbors not too close. (The best lot with tons of shade is site #233). Our lot came with a concrete patio with table & 4 chairs, two Adirondack chairs, and fire ring. There is free WiFi. They do not offer Cable TV. They have a community Outdoor grill. They also have a community fire pit. They sell wood for $8 a bundle. They pickup your garbage at your site daily. You are allowed to ride personal golf carts. They also allow you to rent golf carts. There is really not a need to have a Golf cart because it is a smaller campground. They do have a heated swimming pool and hot tub. They do have kayaks/paddle boards/pedal bikes for rent. There is a Playground. They also offer shuffleboard, basketball sport court, horseshoe, and volleyball courts. They have a great general store. There is a separate Activity Center for kids. There is a Game room for kids. There is a snack bar on site that offers pizza and wings. The streets are gravel so not great for bikes. They have cabins for rent and a Yurt. They have one shower house. The shower house has individual bathrooms with your own sink, shower, toilet. These are kept clean. There is a laundry facility. It is a cash only facility, but they have a change machine ($1 & $5 bills only). There are approximately 3 washers and 6 dryers. It is approximately $2.75 to wash and $2 to dry a load. They have a small fenced in dog park. Flies were a major issue and bug spray was definitely needed. There were no trails to hike in the campground.

Great people here, running a great KOA. Lots of amenities, nice sites, and quiet! Funny, Google thinks this is a hotel, hence the zero stars for “Rooms”. Pickleball courts are a nice touch - although they needed a bit of cleaning.
