This is our second time staying there. Had a warm reception and got a pull thru site which suited us for our overnight stay. It is an out of the way location. But loved it due to the quiet enjoyment.

With Port Lavaca only being 15 minutes from the gate it makes this campground feel tucked away. The facilities are clean, the sites are feet from the water and the amenities for family’s (food, games, sites) are a steal for the price.

We really enjoyed our stay. Genesis was our host and she was so welcoming and helpful. The campground was clean and had lots of amenities. We will definitely be back.

Overall the office personnel are very helpful and gracious people. The store is well stocked. This is our second stay. Cabin 11 has a small uncomfortable living room sofa. Bring your own bedding. There’s plenty of parking at the cabin. The air conditioning is sufficient. However the bedroom AC is directly above the bed and the motor is on all night long. I’d give our stay 3.5 stars over

The stay was awesome but I had one small issue. The water was not hot all days. If this should happen to you, please contact the office for an immediate response .

The stay was okay, the cabin was fairly decent, the cabin itself was pretty clean. However the bedroom did have a very strong mildew smell to it, which put us sleeping on the pull out couch the whole weekend. I did not like the fact that there were signs saying we couldn’t drop the temp down past 74 degrees, if ac units can’t withstand it upgrade them. Make your customers comfortable. Won’t

We had a great time everything was great. The fishing was great. Where we stayed the sunrise was beautiful. All the events we nice. We can't wait to go back

Only there for two nights. Sites were reasonably large and level. Grounds were well kept and people were friendly. Nice dog park too. We didn’t partake of any of the amenities but it appears to be a place to spend more time. BTW…the pizza was excellent!

It was a really great location near water & not a far drive. The kayak/SUP rentals (plus other options) is great. The staff was very friendly & SUPER helpful with everything. The cabins, are nice the public bathrooms/showers are clean. The cabins have a small stand up grill, but we wanted to sit around a campfire so we'll have to pay attention for next time we rent as not all of them have this.

My wife and I stayed here in Mid September 2026 during the record setting heat dome. Despite the heat, we had a great time. The bathrooms were clean and private (my favorite style). The staff are friendly and helpful. Grounds were kept clean and neat. The fishing was okay....seemed nearly all of our catches were small catfish but at least they had a good appetite! Love to visit again!

the park is very well maintained and has many attractions for the kids to play on. Sites are good size staff very friendly, fishing was good too.

Our campsite (135) circuit breaker kept tripping, and only after the 3rd attempt to fix it, Chris solved the problem. Our last day, we did not have water for around 6 hours due to repairs being made to the water line. Once the water service was restored, we only had 20 psi of water pressure.

The staff at this KOA are truly the nicest and most helpful I have encountered in any realm of customer service in a long time. They were courteous, helpful and went above and beyond. The cabin and grounds were exceptionally clean. The pool is a little lackluster, which is the only reason for 9/10 rating.

We love this KOA!! This was our second visit and we will be visiting again soon!! My family and friends had the best time!! All the staff is so helpful and kind!!! Camp ground is kept so clean! Can’t wait for our next adventure!!

The staff is so friendly and always ready to help! The kids loved the events they put on. The train rides were the best part they looked forward to that every morning! The food was delicious and everything was clean. We cannot wait to come back!

Overall an OK stay. The sites are very close together, with my neighbor's sewer drain about 6 ft. from my table. Power was out for about 2-3 hours on my second day, but not the fault of the campground. Not a lot to do in the area. Overall 3.5 - 4 out of 5. Won't pick this KOA next time.

The AC in our room barely keeps cold. The mini fridge is way to small for even 1 person to keep food. The shower head barely had pressure to it. Last 3 years we had a propane grill at our site and then this year we had to rent 1 for $40 bucks. Yeah no thank you. Will not be going back again.

Thank you for staying with us. Propane grill rentals are $25 for the duration of your stay, and this price includes one full tank of propane. The AC was upgraded in July and works very well with the door closed

Campground was clean and well maintained. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lots of activities for all ages but the campground was peaceful and relaxing. The waterfront sites are perfect for looking out over the bay and the patio area was an extra nice touch. The pictures are accurate. I stayed an extra night because it was such a great place. Will definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Port Lavaca campground. The property was clean, well maintained, and had a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and enjoy our time there. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful whenever we had a question. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice campground in the Port Lavaca area.

The office staff was amazing. Very friendly and personable. The site overlooked the ocean and is by far an enjoyable place to stay.

The location is great that it is not too far from home (obvi depending on where home is)but also that it is near water. The bay is calmer for kayak/SUP- among the other fun options to rent & enjoy the water. This is an ideal spot for young kids with the splash pad, pool & other games, plus the staff does some additional small scavenger hunts or sometimes they have planned activities. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The cabins are nice and clean, as are the public bathrooms if you are tent camping or have a smaller camper. They have one yurt, tent camping, camper camping, and a few cabins- and more to come. There is very few large trees though, so keep that in mind to bring shade. It is a small area, so not spread apart sites. Also the cabins switch between having a stand up grill or a low campfire, which we wanted the campfire experience, so need to keep that in mind when booking a cabin. Pet friendly! We brought our cat, she went kayaking for the first time, idk if she would review that as 5 stars, but she would say 5 stars for the cabin & outdoor deck which was he favorite feature.
