This is an EXTREMELY friendly KOA so we make a point to visit whenever we are in the area. The Mermaid Coffee bar is also a cozy beer/wine lounge (with yummy pizza and wings), so we always meet new people. It’s a place that restores our faith in humanity and reminds us that people are inherently good and kind.

We have stayed there twice a year for around 12 years. Our stay is always nice and greatly enjoyed. The employees are always friendly and very helpful, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained and the food is delicious.

If they ever put in a heater in their pool, we will stay longer and I would rate this as a 5 star stay. This is a very nice campground located to a variety of places to see and things to do. We will be coming back again next year. Haven’t been to another campground with a wine/coffee bar. BRILLIANT!!!

We had a quick family trip to get away from life for a bit. It was a nice stay! Our boys loved the bunk beds and playing Monopoly!! I guess I missed that there was no stove but we made it work with the grill, even in the rain!

Staying in your Deluxe Cabin with our dog was like a tiny home away from home. We had everything we needed and it was a comfortable and safe place to keep our dog while we attended a wedding in Yemassee. The staff was delightful! They were friendly and helpful. We will use KOAs in the future. At our ages, we can still enjoy the out doors without the work involved with RVing. Thank you.

The bed was broken could not sleep there. Coffee was stale. The floors turned the bottom of my feet black. I have never been so disappointed in a koa. I have been visiting all over the country at koas for over 40 years. For the cost and disappointment I won’t ever be back.

Ms. Swanigan, the bed was fixed the morning you alerted us. We can't fix It if we do not know an issue. Our coffee is freshly roasted and ground from Charleston Coffee Roasters and is replaced frequently. As you see from reviews cleanliness is a top priority. We will follow through on that issue.

This is the nicest KOA I have stayed in to date. Loved the little bistro w/pizza and wine. Staff was very nice.

The trolley car is such a fun concept, and well executed. The grounds were clean and clearly well cared for. Lots to do for the kids. Excellent service. Will return!

Although it was a short stay, it was a very nice, cozy and comfortable stay. Loved the cabin we stayed at. Small. but so comfy. Staff was nice and friendly. Would definitely come back, and, also recommend.

We have stayed in KOA’s all over the country and reservations to departure at Yemassee was about as easy as any we’ve stayed at. Easy in and out for overnight stays. Lovely park and lots of help to set up. Great food at the office as well. We’ll definitely make this our stop when going through.

I stayed here a long time ago as a little girl, back in maybe 2004ish? Recently I visited again with my own family 🥹 it's a clean safe area I don't know how much it's changed but I was good friends with the owners son ( can't remember his name ) but they were such a kind Godly family. I lived here for about a year with my mother in an RV the people were wonderful and the park had a great vibe. Visiting felt nostalgic, still seems very clean and friendly coming back years later as an adult was very nostalgic not sure if it's the same owners but I would trust them with my life they are good people and 100 percent care about the people who stay in their park. it's more comforting because the people that did use to own the park lived right there in the same lot so any issue was always handled promptly like I said it's been over 15 years since I used to live there but revisiting it still had a very safe feeling the area is very quiet. You have everything you need. I would 100% recommend staying here if you're on a trip or even need a little bit of a permanent residence

Our favorite KOA! The wi fi and streaming work well, which can be hard to find at some campgrounds! The staff is outstanding! The wine bar and pizza are awesome! The grounds are well kept!
