Referred to as the birthplace of our nation and home to the first national capitol, Philadelphia is abundant in history and culture. With so many attractions, it's worth a few days of exploring. Visit all the main historic attractions including Independence National Historic Park, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell & Pavilion, Carpenter's Hall, Franklin Court, Elfreth's Alley, Christ Church and the Betsy Ross House. Make it a couple of day trips and venture through more rich history at the National Constitution Center, U.S. Mint or Museum of the American Revolution. In addition to history, take in some art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, find something delicious to eat at Reading Terminal Market, see Al Capone's cell at the Eastern State Penitentiary, or head to the Franklin Institute or Please Touch Museum for some kid-friendly fun.
