We booked in February for this stay. I specifically called and asked if the kayaks would be available for these dates and was told yes. When we arrived we were unable to use them because the “water was too cold.” We were extremely disappointed, since that was the main reason we chose this campground. It was a beautiful 85 degree day. The welcome email even mentions them! Very Misleading

Huge park with great friendly staff. My issues were the amount of golf carts zipping around all day and way after dark. Plus the vehicles driving way past the posted speed limits. Not sure how you would fix those issues.

Nice, clean facilities. Nice staff. Not much to do other than relax and watch small kids play. Fishing is terrible and both ponds lack sunfish, bass, or catfish for kids to catch. Campground really needs a swimming pool for warm weather campers. Golf carts were a must and very affordable.

The campground is well maintained, that have a great setup with full hook up, plus patio, with table and chairs. A little windy during our visit, but enjoyed our water view. Staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. We will return

Best KOA experience in the North East NC / South East VA area. Staff is friendly, location is perfect, already scheduled next visit.

There were unsaid rules that were enforced and then super strict posted rules a waiver was needed for that were not enforced on the residential people there. There are way more residential sites than you expect to see at a Koa. They were out of a lot of the food they advertise. Not a bad place but I’ve definitely had better experiences for sure.

It was great! The golf carts were alot of fun we really enjoyed our time there. Our kids had alot of fun, we will be back!

A very nice place. Out of the way but with a lot of space. The water pressure wan an issue and the power went out twice during our stay. Other than that everyone was friendly and helpful. Family friendlywe would come back

Nice campground and no issues with the campground itself. The only complaint was the weather (cold, windy, rainy) but that is completely out of KOAs control. There were activities for Easter that they still did, despite the weather (which was good). Overall there is a very good chance we will stay again and recommend to our camping friends.

We have been there many times. We always enjoyed our stay . The people who work there have always been very friendly and helpful. Will be back again in a couple months.

Enjoyed our stay. Everyone was so nice. The playground and amenities for the kids were amazing and everything was just perfect. Just hate that the nearest beach was a hour away. Hope to be back when the weather is warmer.

It was great. Couple of things, bathroom door needs repaired. It will not lock. Also, wish the store would stay open longer. Would like to have ice cream later in the Evian’s play put put after dinner. Thanks

Nice facility. Ants are a problem, ant mounds are everywhere and it is hard to keep them out of your trailer.

Our stay was great! The amenities were nice. The activities for the kids were a hit (jumping pillow, playground and their favorite - the pedal cars). The only recommendations I have are a listed schedule for the water taxi and a couple of additions to the camp store - cases of bottled water and salt and pepper. Those are simply recommendations though. We will be back next year for Spring break!

We had a great weekend! The staff was great, the other campers were friendly and courteous, and the views from the water view campsites were amazing. Thank you for a fantastic weekend. We made reservations for another stay when we left.

Although the weather was a bit windy, the team at Outer Banks West never disappoints. They had so many fun famy activities and events. We simply cannot recommend this camp ground highly enough.

KOA Outer Banks West never disappoints! The team does a wonderful job, keeping the facilities in great shape! There are plenty of things for the entire family to do, the only downside to telling everybody how well they do is knowing it’ll bring more people in to our little slice of Heaven. You will not be disappointed, giving them a visit!

Great location, quiet serene just what we needed to sit back and relax and enjoy the view. This KOAis tucked away behind churchs Island neighborhood so you wouldn't even know it's there. The roads are very narrow when going through this area before you get to the KOA so keep that in mind if you have a big rig, but don't let that scare you cause there are plenty of big rigs that go there. Yes we're going to visit again. staff was great location is great bathrooms and laundry. Facilities were excellent and well-maintained. Convenient store was great and the fun activities they have outside like a jump house putting green little mini go karts that use by pedal power if you wanna work out try those out real fun time. oh, and make sure you visit the Morris farmers market in Currituck, which is about 26 minutes away definitely a place you need to visit for the shopping the food the music and environment totally worth it. And if you want to venture out a little further like we did, we went to Kitty Hawk, which only took us barely an hour to get to, which was such an easy and scenic drive, and we got to see an awesome part of history when it comes to the first recorded flights and innovation.

Very well kept resort! The spaces are gravel and level and plenty of space between spots. Lots of things for kids to do. Bathrooms were super clean and tended to throughout the day. Our space had a really nice seating area overlooking the water. We were only there a few days to spend time at Outer Banks, so that is a journey. We would've stayed closer, had we realized. The speed signs are no joke…from the KOA where there's only one way in and out (the police were waiting to ticket a little outside the entrance) and all through the Outer Banks. We saw so many people pulled over (including us). Just pay attention because the speed changes fairly often.
