We ask for a shady, spot, so they put us in the sun. The spot we had was full sun from 9:00AM till sun set . We had shade in the morning. The RV spots has more shade than the tent spots. Next time, I’ll be bringing my RV.

The campground had limited amenities and as a childless couple we would have preferred not to be placed next to the playground (children running through our site). Tent site was small.

Tent site fees should consider the differences in quality/desirability of the individual sites. Sites should be made available on first come basis. Info (a map and picture(s) of the site) should be on the web site. Paying for an undesirable site (fortunately mine was changed) that was "computer generated" discourages customer loyalty. Some employees were very helpful and friendly.

Communal facilities (bathroom, store, etc.) were clean, well-supplied, and convenient. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy. Hot water was plentiful. I've stayed at this property since the '70s and consider it one of my favorites. The only reason I didn't give it a "10" is the campsites seem to be shrinking and neighbors on all sides very close.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our kids loved all the activities and playground close to our campsite. Staff was friendly and location was close to Ouray. We would stay here again.

The good - staff we interacted with were great! Needs improvement - I was allowed to book a tent site with electric and water online. Spent the week with my vehicle running to charge our camp fridge. Also tent sites very near the horses was new. Wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great either. Finally - during peak season need more bathroom and shower capacity - there was a line no matter when:

I was disappointed in this KOA due to the state of the bathrooms and having to move sites. The bathrooms were horrible and did not appear to have been cleaned in awhile. We also were forced to move campsites in the middle of our stay because they needed our site for another guest who was staying longer.

It seems nuts that there are 10 washers and literally 2 working dryers? Just don't advertise laundry if you don't actually have it? Also, having 4 showers/2bath is crazy for the number of people. There was a wait every time we needed to use the restroom and no water at one point? But, the staff was really nice and they had a lot of kid friendly areas which was great. Compared to others meh.

The max speed limit was not followed. I don’t know what the solution is; maybe some signage like “only You can prevent speed bumps!” Or “Slow Down!”

Convenient 24 hour laundry, only 2 dryers work out of the 6. They charge $2 for a 50 minute dry time that doesn't even dry the clothes. Sandi is rude, very unprofessional & money hungry Receiving 3 phone calls in less than 12 hours bugging me about check-in when I already called to tell them we would be a day late checking in. No one at the front desk communicates. Full review on Google!

Ouray KOA has really done a lot of work to make this KOA family friendly! They have new playgrounds and have family activities! We will stay here when we come to the area. The showers are nice, the KOA staff are so very friendly, and they even offer to deliver ice and wood! We felt welcomed and everything was well organized upon our arrival.

We are at this campground every year. Our group has been here 21 years in a row. FSJ. This year was by far the dustyest. A water truck would have saved it. The bathrooms... .my feet got dirty when I got out of the shower. I was the first in after it was cleaned. But the rest was great. Already have my reservation for next year. Happy Trails. Pat

I was stuck in a campsite surrounded by come sort of convention, had dozens of people walking directory through my campsite including drunk men that approached me while trying to keep to myself in my own campsite. Upon checkout was then further charger 4$ more for a reason the front desk lady couldn’t explain to me. Would not recommend. Horrible experience.

This place was awful! It said on the signs 5 miles per hour which no one adhered to. The dust on the roads was choking! We asked for shade and the entire space had zero shade! Also on the last night there were some campers who played loud music till mid night I place a call and never got an answer.

It would help to have extended store hours into the evening - at least7 pm. The laundry needs work. I washed, but only one dryer was working properly. 2 were marked out of order, but the #2 dryer did not hold heat bc there was a crack in the glass. I basically paid $3 to spin my clothes, wait 50+ min. And still had to hang my damp clothes overnight.

Despite booking months in advance for a 6 night stay, host gave us the worst campsite in the park, literally in between the main entry and exit. Fortunately an employee was able to move us to one of the larger sites at the back of the property, which is what was advertised and paid for. I do not appreciate the false advertising. Dirty and inadequate bathrooms also. Will never return.

Ouray KOA was a spacious campground. The tent sites are small but comfortable. We appreciated that the tent area was wood-chipped. There is plenty of daytime staff to assist as needed. However once 5pm hit, the office was closed and no staff is found. This just baffled me! The cafe on site offered yummy food and nice hours. All in all, it’s a nice campground - no pool on site -

I do not recommend this location. I have never been treated with such complete disrespect. Specifically Frank at the front counter needs to be removed. After he was done harassing the person in front of us, he decided to go after us. The issue was escalated to management, and after promising to resolve the issue, we were instead very rudely insulted with a complete fabrication of the incident.

Store, restaurant, office and all services close at 5pm. No access for campers to anything they might need - firewood, food, snacks, books, planning help for the next day’s adventure. Tent sites 2’ from main gravel dirt road used by a 100 campsites everyday. 5mph not enforced. Tent sites too small for many larger tents. No ventilation in showers. $70/night in a tent??

The tent site 15 smelled like sewage periodically, frequently, our whole stay, only getting worse on Sunday into Monday. Our original tent spot was small and they were able to accommodate to a new site. The access to bathrooms was nice and the neighbors were kind. The bathrooms were dirty though, people had smeared mud on the walls of the showers and they weren’t cleaned often.

Night #1: Truck alarm went off 3 x's through night. #2: neighbor started cooking and partying at 10PM. #3: you decided to do movie night right next to my tent, starting at my bedtime, ending a little before 11PM. What happened to quiet time? This management team doesn't believe in it. #4: neighbor cranks car at 5AM until she leaves at 7:30. #5: went perfectly smooth. Too expensive for what you get

The Ouray KOA was excellent. The only negative was the tenting area was extremely dry and dusty. Not sure if watering that area would allow grass to grow, but other than that everything was excellent.

The staff at KOA were top notch, so kind and helpful! Our tent site was in the back of the campground right next to the horses. While my daughter loved the horses, it left us a very unpleasant smell. Our site was completely dirt - no grass, gravel, etc. Bathrooms could use some improvement - hooks, better light, etc.Would have had a better stay in a camper vs. tent.

Tent sites are very close together and have very little shade. Bathrooms were dirty. They need to be cleaned more often for the amount of people who use them. My tent site had tons of ants. I had them in my tent and all over the campsite. Movie night went over quiet hours. (10pm) It was very LOUD and I couldn’t go to sleep. Won’t return.

Ouray KOA is a great place to stay. The staff is very friendly and restrooms/shower rooms are always clean! Great job! Just a recommendation to put a visual sign that the restrooms/shower rooms are vacant or used as people keep on checking if someone is inside or it is vacant.

The camp ground sites were beautiful! The staff were helpful and really cared that we had what we needed. I was very impressed with the communication about events and opportunities at the camp ground. We did not bring our kids on this trip but definitely will next time based on all the fun activities and attention paid to ensuring families are having a good stay.

Beautiful scenery. Nice cafe on site offering live music the evening we stayed there. A little disappointed the hot-tub was down for maintenance but everything else here at this location was great.

Had a grass tent pad booked and was given a gravel site. Ruined 3 tent stakes trying to set up. Given the dust/wind that was a really bad spot to get placed. Bathrooms were solid, good showers and pretty clean for a campground.

We had a delux cabin since we were staying a whole week and I have zero complaints. The Cabin was perfect for my wife and I. The price was much cheaper than hotels in town and I would take my own cabin over that any ways.

Our RV club spent 5 days at the Ouray KOA amid the most splendid scenery imaginable. The staff could not have been more accommodating to our needs and the rest room facilities were spotless. I believe the management has changed recently because everyone in our group oof 30 trailers was very pleased with their experience at Ouray. The sites were spacious and shaded.
