RV Reviews

I didn’t like the fact that our tent was next to a cabin, which left its porch light on all night. Otherwise, very clean and wonderful camp!!

Kelly Banks was a gracious camp host and so very accommodating! She explained everything about the camp very well, Such a pleasant person to talk to! Her husband, Chris, does some camp maintenance, and also is a remote RV repair person. He was also very friendly and accommodating! The Ouray area is beautiful, especially the "million dollar highway"! Also, jeep rental was easy there!

It was nice, quite, and clean!

The best KOA we’ve stayed at. The staff was awesome. Kelli helped get us closer to other family members that met us there. They offered to bring ice to our camp spot. Trash was gone almost as quick as it was put out. Restrooms were always clean. This place is beautiful! Laundry room was clean & nice. Props to everyone there! Thanks for a great stay. We look forward to staying here again!

This was by far the best KOA after Devils Tower KOA that we stayed at on our journey across America. Highly recommended. The town of Ouray was so nice with all the architectural designs. And the day trip across the Million Dollar Highway is a must do if you are in this area. Thank you for making our stay one of the best.

Ouray KOA was a nice quiet campground and convenient to town. We had a great spot with a patio and it became the meeting place. Park was clean and well maintained. Sites were big enough for us to easily pull through and unhook. Definitely will be staying there again.

Your campground was very clean and your sites, at least ours, were the most level grounds that I've ever camped in..Staff is excellent! From the front desk to grounds maintenance everyone was nice, helpful and professional. And of course the views of the surrounding mountains were spectacular. We will be back soon. Thank you for a great experience

Knew the area & gave good advice & where to go to get something specific for camping.

Always love staying at the Ouray KOA! The staff is fantastic, the property is well maintained, and we love being close to town and a short drive to Telluride.

Nice facilities, bathrooms very clean.

Ouray KOA was not only our first KOA expertise but our first RV experience. And what a great three night stay we had. The location is great for exploring, the amenities and facilities were just great, the staff was super helpful and during this unseasonably hot summer in CO, the trees and babbling brook were a huge bonus. It was quiet and perfect!

I would rate y'all a five - however - no one is perfect A special "atta boy" and "atta girl" to Paige and Kara - and to Erik These three especially made our stay very pleasant - their competency, efficiency, and positive attitude/demeanor are an asset to your organization and deserve a salary increase

we stayed during the Gold Mountain fire. The office did an excellent job of keeping up with a fluid situation and kept us informed all the way. The campground was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again next year again.

The place is really nice. However I had my trailer parked in the overflow across the road and the county had parked a dump truck with a trailer on your property. While I was able to get my trailer out it was tight. I would tell the county to park elsewhere!

the grounds are just beautiful and the staff very friendly. We had a potential emergency with the floods and the mud slides. I felt very informed with frequent texts. This was very comforting.

Love the activities that you have to make camping fun for young children. Also truly appreciate all the communications that you sent us in regards to our stay during the recent fires and cleanup of roads around and throughout Ouray.

Our favorite KOA ever. Friendly and helpful staff. Appreciated the daily updates on road closures/reopenings during this monsoon season. Super nice park and getting better for the future as they develop new section of sites. We WILL go back again.

Very good location and enjoyable. Could use some site leveling. The staff was outstanding.

Campground location is great in a beautiful setting. I only wish the store and main office would have been open after 4. We definitely would have loved to shop there and get ice etc. Only other comment is how far away sewer hookups were in spots 58-59. I had to buy additional hose to reach them. Overall great RV park with awesome WiFi.

The Ouray KOA did an excellent job of keeping me informed. From the reservation to the exit they kept me posted on local highway conditions, weather and store info.

Friendly staff, clean and well taken care of facilities. The WiFi was strong all around the property.

This KOA is beautiful. The 7 is because of how we were treated. Our dog walked next door to friends camper, but went behind them to smell something.A woman asked our friend if the dog was his, and he said no. She said dogs have to be leashed and he said ok he will tell us. But she still came back to tell us AGAIN,and said we could be thrown out if happens again. Didn't need to be threatened by her.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The dog was wandering unleashed and unattended four sites away from owner's site. When dog owner's friend was questioned (owner nowhere to be found), he was evasive and indifferent.  Our simple campground rules are intended to keep children, adults, and other pets safe.

Extended our stay and KOA accommodated us but we had to change sites. Our new site was in a different part of the campground and not quite as nice as our original site - closer quarters, fewer trees. & less $. But, we got to see more of the area, thanks to the helpful staff. Great communication and really watch out for their clients. Great location and amenities on site.

Nice campground. Almost 5 stars but for couple things. The good: Great staff, one of best stocked stores encountered, clean restrooms and showers, wooded, and nice fire-pit. The not quite as good: Nice laundry room but 2 of 5 dryers out of order. (All washers working so had to wait on getting a dryer). It has a restaurant. In evening had a pizza and fried ravioli which hit the spot. For breakfast didn't quite hit the mark. Our friends had pancakes and sausage patties and the patties were underdone. I had a breakfast skillet which was good , but bacon was small shreds had to hunt for. Husband's hiker's breakfast (fruit and eggs) was great. All in all glad to have stayed there.
