  • CHECK-IN is 1 pm MOUNTAIN TIME ZONE

IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS TO:  221 Road East 85
  • There are 2 KOA's in Ogallala at Exit 126.  We are OGALLALA I80 KOA JOURNEY so please INPUT THE PHYSICAL ADDRESS  221 Road East 85 into your GPS system. If you just click on KOA in Ogallala you may go to the WRONG KOA.
  • EXIT 126 off I-80 Go South. Go to the Stop Light at Pony Express Lane/Prospector Drive. Go LEFT on Pony Express Lane/Prospector Drive. Go 1/4 mile and we are on the left-hand side just past the TA Truck Stop.

Tri-Trails Park in Ogallala serves as a location for one of the hundreds of mochila (mailbag) exchanges from horse to horse that take place along the Pony Express Trail between St. Joseph and Sacramento.   The ride  is done in 10 days, riding 24/7, just as in 1860.In 2023, The Pony, traveling eastbound, will pass through Tri-Trails Park on Thursday, June 15, about mid-morning.Tri-Trails Park is located at the geographic crossing of three major historic trails that passed through Keith County, Nebraska during the 1800s: the Oregon Trail, Pony Express Trail and the Great Western Cattle Trail (a.k.a. the Texas Trail).
