Staff was friendly. Horrible accommodations. The matress in the cabin/trailer was terrible. Did not sleep at all. Could not even move in the tiny tiny shower. Smell of sewer. Air conditioner blowing in your face when sitting on couch. Could have used an air conditioner in bedroom. Grounds around the cabin unmanicured. Walked in mud. Creek acces really none Very disappointed. Left exhausted

My family stayed in cabin 3. It was very nice, clean and cozy. The grounds were clean and the staff was so friendly and accommodating.. We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked for next year for Labor Day weekend.

Can’t say enough praise for this KOA. Matt the owner was extremely friendly and helpful, Dee & Lisa delightful. The site is beautiful ,the cabin fabulous,just right. My husband always states how great it is to be back in his own bed,NOT THIS TIME,the bed is definitely GREAT!

Our cabin was extremely clean (thanks, Dee), and all of the workers at the campground were extremely friendly and helpful. This is our 3rd time staying there, and we plan to go back again in the near future! Easy, 2 minute drive to the casino and 5 minutes to several great restaurants downtown. We recommend Chevelles for good food and atmosphere.

July 2023. The campground itself was nice and well maintained, kind staff; we enjoyed bringing our dog. Cabin 1 could use upgrades which would’ve been overlooked had the bedroom not been unbearably hot. The small window a/c unit in the living area does not cool to the bedroom so we were unable to sleep. Rather than going home relaxed, we left exhausted. I might try again in cooler weather.

This is well maintained facility. Nicely laid out with variety of pull thru, tent sites, cabins and back in sites next to river. They also have arcade and pool. Quite area.

Dee & Teresa were both wonderful hostesses & made sure we were always taken care of. Matt was always maintaining the property and ensuring everyone was having a great stay. The entire campground is beautiful, clean, dog-friendly and a secret gem of NC! Our family already reserved our next stay. The amenities are wonderful, the wildlife is thriving & it feels like staying with family. 11/10 :)

When we arrived, we were greeted with a friendly and warm welcome by Dee. She promptly checked us in. And told us if we needed anything just ask. Made us feel like we were family. Cabins are older but are clean and roomy. River runs right behind the cabins. Beautiful spacious camper/RV sites with lots of shade. Entire park super clean. From the first call to DeeDee it was great. If we needed something she was a great source. Polite and jovial are great assets in a camp host. The little river was the perfect length for little float trips and a clean pool . We could bring our pets. Walmart is about 3 miles away. So just call ahead and leave a pickup order for after you arrive. Beautiful area.

The cabin was nice. A little dated. Shower was small. The location was great. The staff was friendly. Already recommended it to a friend. Restaurants in the area were great.

Even though it was a rainy weekend we stayed in the cabin greatly furnished everything we needed, the camp host Dee was so sweet and accommodating anything we needed she was there, will definitely spend our money there and go again !!

As always, its is a pleasure to stay at this KOA. Anytime we come to Murphy this is the only place we stay. Everyone there makes you feel very welcome and very friendly. We wouldnt stay any place else

Cabin maintenance & cleaning was terrible, lots of neglect. Holes that were not sealed, bugs came in, screen porch door crooked and wouldn't shut, toaster oven not cleaned at all, dishes/pans were dirty (we used disposable the whole time), Futon old, cushions broken, like sitting on metal bars. Grounds clean BUT Hotel is a better choice. 1/4 inch dust on fans & ceilings. Manager partied too much.

We apologize. End of season wear and tear and rushing to turn cabins around. All issues have been rectified.

Stay was great, cabin not so much. I had to go to Walmart and buy pans to cook with. The dishes were awful. The bottom of the cabinet was covered in water, not sure how long but all the pots and pans need to be thrown in the garbage. Cooking utinsils were awful.. At 125.00 a night, I expect more. The cabin was not clean. Shower was dirty. Just needs a good cleaning and things replaced.

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter! Es ist ein kleinerer Platz direkt am Fluß, viele Bäume, Schatten, wirklich sehr schön. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort. Der Pool war schon zu, leider. Es gab nur 2 enge Toiletten und 2 Duschen für Frauen, und das Wasser in den Duschen wurde nicht warm und kam nur so herausgelaufen, keinerlei Druck. Das war nicht so gut. Man hätte im Fluß schwimmen können, nur hatte er zu wenig Wasser.

We have stayed at this campground several times. The staff is always very friendly! The campground is well maintained and manicured. The pool area is always clean and inviting. The owner is always around making sure that everything is superb and that guests have everything they need. We really like the deluxe sites with the patio sets and fire pits, and they have quite a few of them....more than I have seen at some other campgrounds.

I use a lot of camp grounds but this is my favorite. Location, the river which is great to beat the heat in the summer and my minnie golden doodle loves to swim in. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is I think they should make some walk ways down to the river for the river side sites, very steep, grown up.
