We look forward to welcoming you to our peaceful riverfront retreat in SW North Carolina. After a career in the hospitality industry, Matt Walters is the owner of Murphy/Peace Valley KOA. Originally from Pennsylvania, Matt lived and worked in Southwest Florida for 11 years prior to arriving at Murphy/Peace Valley KOA. Matt sees the true beauty of the Park and looks forward to spending time getting to know each and every guest. "The Campground provides a great atmosphere for everyone to relax and enjoy the pristine surroundings". Murphy/Peace Valley KOA operated for 6 years as Peace Valley Campground and Cabins. Peace Valley was only one of 13 campgrounds to receive "A" ratings for 3 years through Guest Reviews, sponsored by the National Association of Campgrounds and RV Parks. You will see Matt both in the office and around the Campground working to assure a GREAT guest experience. In his off time Matt enjoys playing golf, traveling, and fishing in Canada or for trout in the Valley River.
As a KOA campground, Matt embraces the KOA family. "I constantly think about what I can do to make the accommodations, grounds, and services better, so every Camper will enjoy their visit. My staff and I want to treat all guests the way we want to be treated", said Matt. "We are also excited with our new neighbor, The Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino, one mile away."
