Great campground with lake views. Conveniently located within walking distance to an Aldi grocery store. Shopping nearby, short drive to Isle of Palms Beach and about a 30-45 minute drive to the historic district of Charleston. Campground workers were very pleasant, and the amenities were in good condition.

Enjoyed 3 night stay. Visited friends who live nearby. Your KOA was extremely clean, organized and we loved the Halloween and fall decorations. The staff was very firendly and informative.

Weather was bad so we couldn’t enjoy all the amenities but the campground was the best KOA at which we’ve stayed and we will most likely stay again.

Great location. Outside amenities look great. Unfortunately our cabin and the community bathrooms were disgusting. It appears they have not been cleaned in a very long time. We stood on Clorox wipes in our cabin to get dressed and the underside turned black where our feet were. We will not be back.

One of the best KOA's we have stayed at. Very Clean, loved the property, very well organized, folks very friendly. Very festively decorated for Halloween which made it fun.

Had a great stay but I have been coming here this time of the year to fish for over 15 years and I’m disappointed how fishermen are now treated at the KOA Mountain Pleasant.

This campground quickly became a favorite for us. The staff there is super. The campground and facilities are clean, and there are plenty of activities. We had firewood and pizza delivered right to our campsite. We went on a wagon ride to an old plantation. And we participated in several other activities such as pumpkin painting and making tie-die shirts. We reserved our next visit before we left.

Bathrooms in the separate bath house are dirty. Bottom of shower insert is flat with no lip. Water is all over the floor and ends up muddy. No small table to put things on. If you drop anything on the floor no paper towels to wipe since hand dryers.

Amazing KOA, it’s clean, well run, staff is very friendly & accommodating. There’s tons of fun things for kids to do! They are over the top with decorating for holidays! It’s a festive & fun decor around the park. Office hours run late & well stocked store! We highly recommend staying here sites are great, well laid out & marked. Street signs make it easy to navigate! Great job KOA!!!

The spaces are small in size. You sit out by your camp and the hookups for the next campsite are within feet of you. We had next door campers who had two large dogs and when they left their dogs barked. You couldn't enjoy sitting out by your campfire with those dogs barking for hours! But what are you suppose to do? They are in their RV. There weren't very relaxing evenings to say the least.

Beautiful and quiet campground! Staff is so helpful and friendly. Kudos to Will for the great tour of the onsite plantation! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Regular wifi worked well enough to stream. Bathrooms and property were very clean. Pool looked nice but didn’t use it. About 30-45 minutes for attractions. Nice large lake on property. Aldi and Walmart close to campground. Would highly recommend her

This is a beautiful KOA with great staff. We really enjoyed our stay. The only reason for a 4 star instead of 5 rating is because the laundry room washers and area were dirty and hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

We have stayed at many KOAs over the past three years and this campground ranks #1. Level/long sites, friendly staff, private lake, amenities for families, clean campground, extended hours office/store, access to local stores/sites, and somehow quiet even though close to a busy road (it’s the trees between road and camp). Very pleasant and fun trip in Charleston!

My wife and I have traveled to 38 states and stayed at many camp grounds, this is one of the best. Friendly staff, very clean and well laid out with lots of amenities for everyone. The Wi-Fi signal was strong enough to run our fire stick. KOA have really improved over the years and this site convinced us to become members. We will be coming back next year. Thankyou to all the staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful campground. When we needed to change our plans because of weather and extend our stay, the staff went above and beyond in expressing their hospitality. This is a well managed and well manicured KOA and we will plan to stay here again when we’re in this area.

This campground has got to be one of finest KOA’s around. We’ve stayed at over 80 KOA’s and this one is near the top.

The cabin was very comfortable - nice size bathroom; outside furniture was great - nice fire pit; good location by the lake - will recommend to others!! Would stay again!!

We had a great stay overall. The only incident was we were kicked out of the rec center at 10pm although the rec center stays open 24/7. With the rain there was not anywhere for our group to spend time together. The person who kicked us out was also in a very bad mood and it was reflected in his attitude towards us.

I was forced to improvise as my primary camp sight was affected by government shutdown so I did not have a reservation. The site is well set up for cabins and big RVs. I was in a tent. Close to $200 for two nights. Tents are unpowered and the trees prohibited my using solar. That put me behind. Showers were included but if you use the one at the office, it will take a long time for anything warm.

We really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, it rained the entire time we were there so we did not get to use some of the amenities, but we will be back. Very happy with the campground, cleanliness, quietness, and helpful staff.

The campground layout is very well designed. The only problem is lighting at night. We had a hard time finding our camper.

I'm still confused why I was charged different rates? I was told it was because Monday, October 6, 2025 was a holiday. According to my research, Monday was not a holiday. I also, confirmed with the office I would not be staying the last night but, might be a few minutes late leaving the site as I was waiting for my Fiance' to arrive from the airport. I was told "no problem", then at 12:10

The campground is beautiful and clean. The Halloween decorations made it so festive. My kids loved the cars that you can rent and even played in the splash pad and took a quick dip in the pool. Everyone is so helpful and kind -- especially Chris! He gave seemed to be constantly helping my kids and even loaned my son his personal fishing rods because we had forgotten ours.

A terrific Camp, a great location with a staff that is awesome. Our situation changed 2X and even with a loaded down campground, they accommodated us with a smile and a cheerful attitude. We will be back!

Wonderful stay! Friends told us to ensure we stayed here when visiting Charleston and it did not disappoint. One of the best KOAs I've seen. Beautiful campground, very well taken care of, and excellent location. Our trip started out a little stressful (tire issue on our class A motorhome), but Anita was so helpful when I called to give them a heads up that she quickly put my mind at ease. We were shown to our site when we arrived and quickly settled in. So much to see and do here. Music and entertainment down by the lake, walking trails, and kids seemed to always be enjoying themselves. Amazed they had pizza on site (all day), and even delivered it to your site. Staff here really make this campground a success!! Shout-out to Anita, Samantha, and Jenny in the office. Everytime I stopped by to shop for my favorite IBC root beer, they were always super friendly, courteous and made you feel like family. Although all the employees we met were wonderful, I do want to especially mention "Chris" by name. He was always about cleaning up, looking out for the wildlife, and always willing to help. I thoroughly enjoyed the Fawn and Doe sighting Chris shared. How could you not love this place?! Thank-you to all for a true South Carolina southern hospitality experience. With respect, Jacquelyn

This is a wonderful RV park with cabins and beautiful campsites. It is located about 20 min outside Charleston and Isle of palms beach. Staff was great and we're very friendly. Bath house was clean and had large handicap showers and toilets. So much to do here with the swimming pool and boating on the lake. Also had kids crafts and things every day for them in the rec hall. Really enjoyed my stay here with 6 of us in our RV.
