We have been coming to the Monroe KOA for the past 10 years annually in the Deluxe Cabins and have loved it. My issue is with the swimming pond. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the condition of the pond this year. The amount of seaweed & algae on the shore line (not the bottom) was disgusting. They used a fishing net to collect the seaweed and just left it on the beach. We won't be back.

We love the campground however, the first night loud music, and a dog barked continually day and night. Reported both, had to complain about music again. The dog still barked made another complaint, dog quit at night but barked all day for weekend. The manager treated a devasted mother incorrectly in regards to her lost daughter. I made him aware if it. I didn't spend $600 to listen to a dog bark.

Cabins seemed cleaner. Activities were lacking. 3 dollars for a teaspoon of ice cream and half cup of rootbeer was disappointing. Other activities were canceled, moved or cut short without notice.

I've never seen a campground work so hard to financially gouge their guests before. The staff was really good and the area of the park we were in was nice, but wow, the extra's they charge for when you go to check in, are obscene.

We have been camping here for years and usually as a group with 3 cabins and have a blast. However this year so much has changed. The staff, rules, and just the environment all together. There are very few staff that I seen smiling and willing to help ( maybe 2), otherwise it’s was either grumpy or attitudes from the rest. All in all we made it as fun as we could considering the tension this yea

The staff was very rude at the snack shake, tried to talk to manger he didn’t really care! They don’t enforce quit time people party all night, trash everywhere! Staff didn’t help any of my problems!

We enjoyed the stay. The only thing we would want to change is the snack shack needs to offer more choices of food. Other then that we had fun

The cabin we rented was not very clean. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and we were charged extra for every little thing that and we were unaware of all the extra charges. We ended up paying about $70 more than anticipated or quoted when we arrived. Had to wait in extremely long lines to even pull in the park and again to check in.

The campgrounds were amazing. Had an issue with an appliance but it was addressed quickly. Other than that, a completely successful and satisfying experience.

The cabin was dirty the bed was lumpy and I was not impressed We were booked for 5 nights but only stayed one I asked management to switch cabins or even just the bed but they said they could not but They did refund us for the remainder of are stay so that was one good thing

The park was pretty empty when we stayed the weekend of 4/28-4/30 and the staff would not complimentary upgrade our cabin to be closer to our party. They wanted to charge us an extra $200. Our cabin was dirty, there was old food under our uncomfortable bed. The water reeks of eggs. The pet fee is a little ridiculous, $100 for the weekend for 2 dogs? The park also has a huge flooding problem.

The assistant manager (I forgot his name) very nice glad he was there made everything better. My son burnt his hand and the assistant manager did everything to make the situation better. Thank you

We make this an annual family tradition the last open weekend of the year (Halloween). This year we rented a cabin. It was small but absolutely met our needs as we are outside (when we aren't sleeping) anyway. Unfortunately the water smelled disgusting the first few days until it got flushed out or something. The park is beautiful and lots of coordinated activities for those who want.

This is our fourth annual cabin camp out with family. Each year continues to be a better experience! There is never a shortage of activities for kids of all ages and even the adults entertain themselves. We always enjoy a nice relaxing weekend full of family, food, and festivities. We’re already planning for next year’s trip!

I rated highly because this was not my first trip however I was less than impressed with our stay this time The details for our cabin listed a cooktop and refrigerator NOT mini fridge we did not have a cooktop we had to go buy one, and there was a mini fridge I would appreciate someone reaching out to me directly so I can explain the other things that were a problem there isn't enough space here.

The bathrooms need better water pressure in the toilets. Every time I went in, several of the toilets were backed up. Halloween activities were great! Thank you!

Firewood is a total rip off. 4 pieces for the price and it’s cotton wood and doesn’t even light easily. Regulars know not to buy it there. The playground could use some new toys. Our cabin had a window that was broken and rotted. It was just boarded over and you could feel the wind and see the draft coming in constantly. The bathroom by our cabin was just okay. Could use more showers.

I liked how they scheduled the Halloween events, etc before. The times were weird, and they no longer do the activities kids look forward to.

I was pleased to see some upgrades in the cabin that we’ve stayed in over the past couple of years. Unfortunately, as we used the cabin, we quickly realized that one of the upgrades are not family friendly. The changes to the programming for the Halloween weekend were also unfortunate.

We had a wonderful Halloween weekend with our friends and family, as always. We have been following this tradition for over a decade. However, they have chosen to discontinue the option of pre booking their large groups, which could easily separate our group. Unfortunately, this likely means we will be going elsewhere moving forward.

We stayed in a rustic cabin that was supposed to be a twin bunk bed and a full sized bed. The single bed was a twin, and the bottom bunk of the bunk bed was a full sized bed.. which wouldn't have been a problem if the bunk bed was normal sized. At 5'1" tall, I was taller than this bunk bed! Laying in the bottom bunk was VERY claustrophobic!! My husband ended up sleeping in our truck.

Very disappointed with our stay. We stayed in “the loft” and did not like the accommodations at all. The website failed to mention it was directly above public showers, restrooms, and laundry service. It was very loud and disrupted our sleep every time someone used the facilities. There was no privacy at fire pit or when utilizing outdoor space. Please update post so others are aware as well.

We had a fantastic time during our stay! The staff was really friendly and the cabin was clean. This campground has lots of activities for the littles and the Halloween weekends sound like fun! We will definitely be back!

Monroe KOA is clean, organized and so much fun. Always have so many activities for the kids to do and always on time for those activities. We love camping here and are never disappointed.

For the most part it was a really great stay. The wrestling event was really awesome. My kids loved it! I wish I could of gave a 10 or 5 star but 2 things were not satisfactory. 1 the snack shack was not open till hours later then the time it was supposed to open. Only when I had to mention it to the front desk to open it. 2 the heater to the swimming area was off the second day. Very cold!
