Paid full price for a construction zone, 2 construction vehicles parked on our lot. Grill was nasty and unable to use. To much noise and dust. Had to wait for dump truck to move. Terrible stay, won't go back.

Pond is murky. I received notification that you are closing the pond (after our stay). I'd recommend a pool or you will lose all of your business. Fourth of July fireworks were great.

This KOA is good if you have kids. Not good if you want it to be quiet. They are dog friendly but some people did not have their dogs on a leash in their sites which made it difficult when walking our dogs. Our one dog does not like loud noises and they sell poppers at the camp store. So between kids screaming, making noise and the poppers our dog never relaxed the two days there.

In the past it has been awesome. However, this year over 4th of July weekend, it was awful! The owner and management were rude and out of control. The activities usually planned for the weekend were not. Just an overall disappointing weekend.

Staff are helpful and informative, but the fairground seemed to need some repairs, perhaps it was just the swimming pond that caused this perception

Booked 2 cabins for 3 days and 2 nights for my grandson's birthday. closed early.There was not much to do with no swimming lake .My grandson got hurt on the slide and the girl working just sat there. My granddaughter got yelled at for using the water by our cabin,which we was for our use. Been coming here every year ,but never again.Was charged resort fee,but had to pay for recreation.

It was ok for the most part. I wish you guys would of had the inflatables up, since the swimming pond isn’t available. Very hot to stay without swimming.

No escore to site, no garage pick up and my site was so close to the neighbor, I couldn't use my picnic table. They are NOT dog friendly. Charged me $20 just because I had dogs. I've stayed at 12 KOA's so far this year and this is by far the worse example of a Holiday there is. I'm surprised it's still a KOA.

The lake was drained, but we decided to keep our reservation because we thought there would still be enough for the kids to do. Sadly all there was to do was the waterslide, the park, and fishing. The website advertises all these activities like inflatables, a giant movie screen, and crafts, yet fail to mention that they only do these things on the weekends. The 25% off was not worth the stay.

Bathrooms weren’t very clean and customer service was lacking. There seemed to be some long term guests staying there and their site was dirty. Also, the camp store was out of jugs of water. The kids enjoyed the waterslide and playground.

Not much to do, lake is drained, putt putt is an absolute JOKE, carpet torn and so dirty you can't tell what color it is. Staff was rude and even with the discount it is WAY overpriced. Been going here for over 30 years and we going somewhere else next year!

We had a nice stay everyone was friendly and accommodating Sorry the swimming pond is permanently closed I don’t see any issues with the pond and swam in it many times even many many years ago as a kid The offer for a refund as well as the discount was good business and appreciated

Kids had a blast with the bikes and paddle boats and the water slide unfortunately everything cost so had to watch what we did but staff was very friendly and very helpful ..... Just feel like they could use a little more staff

We stayed for 4 nights. It would have been nice to be at a campsite with shade. Although this CG is an older one, it still meets the needs of the area residents by providing a place to swim.

Respectfully, this campground is extremely misrepresented. Based on photos and info, it looked amazing. However, upon arrival, we found it to be very poorly maintained. We wanted to love it here, it certainly has potential. The staff seems great and the cabins look nice. However, it needs A LOT of work and is extremely overpriced considering.

It was nicer than I expected after reading the reviews. Staff was friendly, everything was nice, bathrooms were clean. It’s a bit pricey for not having anywhere to swim. If you added a nice pool, this park would be full on weekends. Paving the roads would be a huge improvement as the dust was always flying from the dirt roads.

I booked my trip weeks in advance with 7 children and upon arrival was notified there was no swimming area. Would have liked to of known prior as we would not have went.

My only complain is that the swimming pond is closed! The staff was wonderful, and the other campers were friendly. I really hope they are going to put in another swimming area because I would love to come back.

Our favorite campground. Unfortunately if the pond is no longer open we will have to look for a place for our annual 4th trip. That beach and pond was a highlight of our trip no matter how full the park was it never felt crowded like a pool.

Campground was convenient to family. The laundry room was excellent. We did not utilize the other amenities. A young adult drowned in the swimming pond during our stay. We saw the ambulance and found out by watching the news after seeing news trucks at the entrance. Disappointed in the campground's lack of notification to campers or respect (like closing the pond for the evening).

We stayed from july4th thru the 7th 2023. There needs to be signage on the right side of the road going into the deluxe sites. We missed our site 114 because of this and I saw other campers having to drive around as they missed their road also. All the signage is on the left side of the roads Also we were there when they closed and started drainin he swim lake. I think that will turn away alot o

It was bittersweet seeing the pond being drained. I understand why it was necessary, but it was sad watching people being shocked by the news and having their vacation ruined and many having no place to go instead. The staff was amazing, all hands were on deck. We love Monroe KOA!

We still did have a great time this past weekend but things felt very different that we were disappointed in. The fireworks were not the same. The music selection was horrible. They shot one of the fireworks behind a huge tree. The workers Trevor and Shawn were horrible to our group and were very rude and ruined our kids experience. Some of the workers were great. Disappointed in the activities.

The staff members were incredibly rude this trip. We’ve been coming for years and never been treated like this before. While I understand tension was high, it’s no way to keep frequent campers coming back.

Arrived and our site was entirely covered in broken glass. Even after they "cleaned" it up it was too dangerous for my kids to be barefoot or pets. Grill was missing on site that I called to verify was there earlier in the day. Stayed one night out of 4 planned because the abruptly closed the swimming pond the morning of our second day. They clearly knew that was happening but allowed us to book.

New management was the worst experience I could have ever imagined. We were treated awful, as were our kids. This was the consensus throughout the whole campground by guests and employees.Fireworks and activities were better in past years, no flag lit up, no patriotic music, no tournaments, and we were treated like criminals everytime we left our site. Absolutely awful and not the same. Sad, sad.

Managers and staff were very rude and overly strict on matters that were much less serious than they seemed. Also felt very targeted by management being blamed for every little thing done by any person near the age of my family and group. Wouldn't recommend going again solely based on the attitudes and actions of management and employees

Disappointed for the fireworks. Was on the beach, but most of the fireworks were behind the tree. I go every year, and this year was very disappointed.

Since the change in ownership, it has not been the same. The activities, staff interaction and most recently, the fireworks and swimming lake, have been going down hill. We had the fireworks and there was not an American Flag for us to pay tribute too. It used to be hung from the slide platform. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. It does not feel like a family friendly campground anymore.

Had fun but my favorite part of the trip was the fishing. I caught so many 3-6 pound catfish. It was an awesome experience

I love this place. They always have activities going on and always something to do! Saturday glow dance party is our favorite thing to do!!
