We've stayed here a few times before. We love the new upgrades that have been done, but with the rain that was forecasted for a couple weeks prior to this weekend I would've thought the management would've put down some sort of gravel to help with all of the mud from the construction of the new pool area. We were woken up at 2am by the site next to us. The riff-raff that's in there was awful.

Eventually will be nice, but the old sites are very small and bathrooms needed cleaned and repaired. The 15s timers in the showers were horrible and ruined the stay.

Despite the construction, rain and mud we had a great time at Monroe KOA! We love the daily activities and all the activities we can do on our own. Clean sites, clean bathrooms, and friendly, helpful staff always make our stay enjoyable! Definitely missed the lake, but the kids still had a blast at the new pools and splash pad. Looking forward to coming back again to check out all the upgrades.

Wish weather was better but loved all the activities planned for the kids and the enthusiasm and friendliness of all the staff. Situated in a nice wooded area. Definitely recommend this place to others.

lots of activities for the kids. pool was heated which was also nice. my only complaint is that there wasn’t any regulation at a quiet time at night. I’m not sure if it was just like that because of the holiday but we had campers around us up until after 1am which is hard with kids. I had to use sound machines turned up all the way to be able to even sleep myself.

Excellent campground, although it's currently undergoing major renovations it is still a nice place to stay. After the renovations are complete this place will be a destination campground for folks. They are putting in updated KOA Patio sites, new swimming pools, new buildings, etc.; lots of money being spent. We stayed for four nights and will return again in the future when in the area. mw

It was only for one night during off-season, but could tell that it would be a fun place to stay for an extended period.

The campground is coming along nicely with the updates. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This is our goto campground when taking our camper out of winter storage as it's close to home. Will be back!

Lots of construction going on. No activities and the limited they do have come with an overpriced fee. Like renting a bike for a half hour for $8. As if a kid would take full advantage of a time slot. Very disappointing. WiFi also didn’t work in cabin to access tv or use tablet when it rained.

The amount of construction/work being done is great, but makes for a very messy trip. The playground area could use a bit of TLC, but hopefully that will come with all the renovations happening!

Our stay was very peaceful, any issues we ran into KOA staff team were always there to fix the issues even if it was after hours! Highly recommend this place, definitely will be going back!

For the fee we paid to watch construction all day, unable to use the restrooms due to water being shut off, and unable to use laundry room change machine not working and water coming into RV was cloudy and nasty. I gave one star for the easy hook ups. I feel like we could have stayed somewhere alot nicer with no construction for the same price. I would never go back due to price we paid!!

We went early and thru the week, which was great. Park was nearly empty. There’s construction going on but we didn’t mind. Helped to drown out the highway noise. Rode bikes down the back roads. Beautiful countryside.

Gary was very welcoming. It was an overnight stay. There is a lot of construction for their new pool but we weren’t disturbed, it was very tranquil.

We stayed in the Loft for the last Halloweekends of the season. My kids and their friends had a great time, and the Loft was perfect for our group. That you for a great weekend at our local KOA!

Id called and asked if our reserved cabin had a separate bedroom and was told yes, but it didn't. We ended up taking our mother home then. The tv worked only an hour or so and when cking out and asking "isnt that part if what we paid for?", was told w/a shrug "its supposed to be." An "oh well" attitude. Mattress hung over frame 4-6 inches, so if rolled over too far, would fall on floor.

Our stay was good. It is the end of the season, and there are a lot of open rv sites. Unfortunately, the site we were assigned to had a plugged gray/sewer drain caused the previous camper. The area around the sewer drain was strewn with toilet paper. . The manager was very attentive to the situation and offered us another site.

Got the small cabin fir the KOA Trick or Trick event. Free pan cakes Saturday morning. Lots if activities for kids.

Staff was amazing! Grounds and facilities were very clean. We have been a few times in less than 6 weeks, still the same great experience! Already have 4 more trips booked!
