Below is a guide to popular Moab-area trails that are currently open, complete with experience levels and distances.

Distance: 3 miles round-trip
Experience Level: Moderate
A thrilling hike to the impressive Corona Arch and nearby Bowtie Arch, with cable and ladder assist sections. The trail crosses a railroad track, climbs slickrock, and winds through cairn-marked pathways. A bucket-list hike with minimal exposure.
Best for: Arch lovers, photography hikers, moderate hikers
Distance: 3.4 miles out-and-back (~250 ft gain)
Experience Level: Easy
Situated along a shady creek corridor, this family-friendly trail winds through cottonwoods and pool-filled creek beds, ending at Hunter Arch. Ideal for hot days and younger hikers.
Best for: Families, easy-day walkers, nature lovers
Distance: 3.6 miles round-trip (~900 ft gain)
Experience Level: Moderate
This scenic hike ascends gradually beneath a railroad tunnel to Jeep Arch, with sweeping views of the Colorado River canyon. Well worth the steady climb.

Starting near Double O Arch, this rugged route leads to the towering Dark Angel pillar through dramatic desert terrain. Suitable only for confident hikers comfortable with uneven rock and exposure.

Arches National Park Hikes such as Delicate Arch and Devil’s Garden remain open, but timed-entry permits may be required between April 1–July 6 and August 28–October 31, 2025. Parking lots may fill early during peak seasons.
Trail openings are monitored regularly by Grand County Trails (via MoabTrailMix) and BLM—check before heading out.
