Tent Reviews

Accommodations nice but I am very upset about a $150 incident that occurred during our stay. I spoke with the campground then KOA directly who referred me back to campground. Two emails but no response from campground. It is very clear campground bears partial responsibility for incident. KOA no help. Reflects very poorly on KOA not just campground. I will not stay at KOA again.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You did not follow the rules, and therefore, your family got the golf cart taken away due to your kids, who lied and signed off on the rules, saying they were 21 and neither one of them were 21 to drive the golf cart.

Every year for the past eight years, our entire family has stayed at this campground since we spent so much the week we stay there we usually reserve for the following year with a down payment. This year we were told to pay in full therefore, we will no longer bring our family here very disappointed

While the property in general is beautiful, the campsites are very close to one another. The pool area is not large enough to accommodate the number of guests in the campground. The staff while very friendly were not knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area. I had hoped to be able to access the lake across the road from a public beach but could not find one.

Tent sites were small, rocky, and really far from showers. The pool was ok. Overall, kind of disappointed in the value for stay.

Although it was only for 2 night it was a very clean, friendly and quiet camp ground. Tent sites are furthest from the RV sites which was nice and a bathroom was a short, very short walk. Only issue was the showers are at the main building at the entre or on the opposite side of the camp ground. Beyond that great place to stay with plenty to do close by

We where in the tent section which was nice and covered by trees. camp sites were a little small for the tent area it's self. wish there was a easier way to walk out of there over the ditch instead of driving or walking a ling way to where everthing is at.

Mixed feelings- the atmosphere/staff was great! (minus 1) However, the TENT sites are a JOKE! Tent sites are in a ski mogul hill, littered with BLACK WALNUT trees. Serious PTSD from the constant bombing of Walnuts raining down on us. We have a large tent & canopy with a dog pen. We had to use a measuring tape to figure out how to set up. Good thing I called ahead and asked for the biggest site

It’s a lovely KOA but not great for tent camping. Sites are small, close together, and not level. Mine had no real grass pad, mostly unlevel gravel and the ground was impossible to stake tent. Showers required a drive and bathroom was a long uphill walk.

Awesome campground. Friendly staff. We had a tornado warning while we were here and the staff was amazing making sure everyone, including our pets were safe. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything.

This is an extremely nice campground, with a pool, playground, dog walk, laundry, showers, etc. The only thing keeping me from rating it a 5 is the lack of decent wi-fi. It only worked near one of the permanent buildings. They do have seasonal residents there so maybe they should upgrade the wi-fi to accommodate so many people there all of the time. The people working around the camp and in the office were very nice and kept the place clean and orderly - despite the large crowds on the weekend.

We love Milton KOA and stay here every time we are in the Madison area. The campground is quiet, with large campsites. They also have a nice walking path behind the campgrounds. I recommend taking that walk! I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. Nice people. Enjoyable experience.
